Probably one of the most common yet challenging effects of L$D is the loop. What's weird about it however is that there seems to be a variety of forms the loop manifests itself as. In this video I do my best to discuss all of its incarnations.
Please don't take any illicit substances. This video is made only to educate. Psyches can have adverse effects.

The classic loop, gotta love it hahah completely agree that it may very well be just purely experiencing the exact same moment over and over, it ties in neatly with the eternal & paradoxical nature of reality and to me is a glimpse of the grand nature of the infinite loop of the universe. Completely agree that it takes you so much out of the rational, material human mindset that it puts you in a God state, which is virtually impossible to experience without some form of conscious catalyst such as a psychedelic or some extreme forms of meditation. Great stuff as per mate, love your profound and down to Earth videos like these.😮

15:54 I had to reintegrate the message many times 🔁 in order to come out on the other side to be grateful and persistent in life. Share love and peace with oneself and others. The path of self improvement without any psychoactive substances is what I am doing now. It feels good for me. I feel balanced and hopeful.

Yes, I've absolutely had this, great to see someone talking about it! I experienced the "eternal recurrence" you described about 20 years ago on mushies. It was the most insane, terrifying thing I've ever experienced, like a glimpse of an infinite deja vu that was inescapable. It undermined my entire concept of free will for a few years but I eventually reconciled myself with the paradoxes of it all, even if my puny human brain can't hope to understand it properly.

I experience a thought loop where I feel like I'm close to unlocking "it", and it feels absurd and scary at the same time. It started from DMT a few years ago. It feels like something or everything will break if the secret is ever exposed. It will just come out of nowhere and stay for hours.

really good description! You describe my really strong Loop really really really well haha and i do think it has to do with the memory on higher doses. On a trip where i started with 200mcg and took 100mcg extra after one hour (this really kickstarted the mindtrip and the LSD trip was so fucking long its insane). Actually it was probably all 3 stages you described at once. I was stuck in a loop where I was thinking i could "solve" the loop as if there was an "answer" to it and the answer i came to every single time was that I could not end the loop and this would kickstart the loop. And like you said: you cant stop this, even if you come to that conclusion. Everytime i would forget what i talked about and started to talk to my girlfriend, trying to explain my situation because it was such a unique experience i never had before. Everytime i came to the conclusion it couldnt end, i got a wave of clarity in which i knew i just need to let go and dont have to talk about it, then followed from insane confusion and delusion. After an hour of that the effects got even stronger, i felt like i was stuck in this loop for a very long time, we watched youtube videos before the trip and while my girlfriend was tripsitting she watched some and i thought i was watching the same videos again and again and again - and like you said it felt like i was skipping back in forth in time. I thought my girlfriend was an eternal being and that the apartment was not real, that it was my imagination and because of that another loop started where i was being anxious that my girlfriend would disappear, leaving me in my imagination nightmare. So i started to touch her or kinda push my hands into her to feel her and that would make me feel more comfortable but not even 3 seconds later i forgot that this even happened and i just started to annoy her more or less. My visuals would start to form a tunnel and the visuals "collapsed on themselves" and i felt like i just moved back through time - ofc this is really really hard to describe. Insane. It went on for much longer than your 1 hour loop, tbh i dont even know how long but it was atleast 3-4 hours and even when i tried to sleep and i woke up it would start again. Next day it was gone though ofc, just my head was still spinning lmao best description i have heard so far, really love your content! edit: i really agree with your conclusion too! tbh at the time i was not living the life. Stuck in addiction (you say a vicious cycle, right) the nigthmare loop was describing my real life pretty fair. I really like that you dont dive in too deep into the metaphysical stuff but try to look at the subjective experience too. If life is good, it really is a pleasure to have it on repeat.

This reminds me of the Netflix series called T H E M where a group of advanced humans alter the timeline for everyone, but cannot be seen. The underlying theme is a reality loop that repeats itself over and over again. The ultimate loop occurs when these advanced humans reverse the awakening and memory of one of its members in order to fit with their preferred future outcome.

Good video brother. Nice to see you again. I've only done LSD one time in my life (13 years ago) I was out in nature and it was the most beautiful thing I ever experienced. Never did it since because I don't want to mess with those fantastic memories of being one with mother nature. Love and peace from Norway ♥️

I had a similar experience on 3g of Melmac. The best way I could describe it was a never ending Deja Vu. Like no matter what actions I did it was going to happen that way anyways. I didn't feel like I was repeating any physical actions, my girlfriend who was trip sitting me can also attest. It felt more like as if every action I did I already lived through before and has happened to me. I am just writing this to see if anyone has had a similar experience, because everyone ive talked to about it has not had an experience like that and was wondering if there was anyone else who has

I've only experienced a loop one time on 400ug of LSD. It had to do with me and my family and some ultimate truth. Once I realized that I was in a loop my mind went meta, like a character in a game popping out of the TV screen and seeing the TV screen. After that is what I can only describe as an ego death.

The only time I've gotten stuck in a loop was at the worst possible time when I had decided I wanted to take medication (Benadryl) to finally end my trip and go to sleep for the night. The loop started when I got the medicine bottle out and dosed myself, went to the fridge, thought I wanted to take the medicine again, did so, went back to the fridge, thought I needed to take the medicine again, went to the bathroom to do so, realized what was happening and hid* the bottle from myself and wrote a note. 😂 Also had the "this could be hell" thought when I realized I was looping, because it really does feel that hopeless and helpless however short amount of time it is and you feel powerless to stop it. Your thoughts on the matter are quite beautiful and insightful btw. 😊

I experienced this sort of effect the first time I smoked weed. For me - I would suddenly notice that I am observing myself in 3rd person then I would return to 1st person slowly, over and over again.

I had a thoughtloop once and it lasted the whole trip, it was finding the solution to all my problems, then forgetting what my problems were, then searching for my problems again, on repeat, 12 hours, it felt like I broke my head 🤯 I‘ve recovered from it now fully though

Around a year ago I was cycling on LSD with a friend at night. Just before we got on our bicycles I smoked smoke weed, it had had probaly not fully hit me yet because I thought I was ok to go out. Suddenly when cycling I realised that I was riding in the same part of the street over and over. The strange thing is that when I looked behind me I would suddenly be in a new part of the street. Basically, I could only travel forward if I kept looking behind me every now and then (Otherwise I would just repeat driving in the same part of the street over and over again, even though I always kept cycling forward).

I wonder if this has such a strong emotional affect on someone because we come into this world with this big dream of what we "think " our lives will be and we kind of live in a dream land and not reality while we are still young minded, and the looping effect is kind of a revelation that this IS life while we are here and it is repetitive in nature (for stability) and that revelation can really hit the mind in a negative way, especially when we are young we are so naive and full of hope for a reality that is not quite what we had in mind. When the reality of this world is to endure, to learn and grow- do better etc, to love and to give, the reality colides with the dream and can traumatise the mind of the false and imagined beliefs of a happy ever after, but it happens so that one can find the truth and it shatters the ego in a sense, and thats ok because it was false to begin with. Now the rebuild of the truth and your spirit can start to take place inside your body and mind, thats when the work starts to take place of a shifting to a new reality - the real reality.
