I had a weird experience with a villager. I let Reneigh go into the void, and she ended up on my daughter's island after she went villager hunting. Reneigh remembered being on my island! Such a trip!

Interesting thing me and my friend discovered!! We did some autofills and it seems that the most recent villager to enter your move in queue will be the first one to autofill onto your island. Like the queue technically works backwards. It’s so weird lol

Went on a 2k ticket spree to find my birthday buddy, Hopkins, only to forget to turn back time and accidently allow a village to move into the plot. Checked it, and it was Hopkins.

Shari was one of my starting villagers, I let her go and found her on a NMT and she didn't even remember me it was so painful 😭😭😭

One thing I appreciate most about these videos (besides the enormous amount of research that goes into them) is that Kora admits when she doesn't have all the information about something or isn't exactly sure how a mechanic works. Very refreshing!

Ok. So. Merengue won’t leave me alone. I had her in my first game as a starting villager. Then she moved out. And then almost every Island tour I’ve done, she’d show up at least once. She showed up in my campsite on the day I deleted my first island. I’ve started my game over 5 times. I’ve even used a second switch (my lite) to play another file. And Merengue never ceases to find me again. I used to like her, but now she just feels like a stalker. I recently started my game over again and here she is, almost every time I tour, in my campsites… sometimes it makes me wonder if the villagers are tied to your switch itself?? Like on my other switch, it was probably a coincidence. But on my main switch, she never fails to show up. I stream sometimes and I have like “Merengue Bingo” as a running joke because of how often she shows up. Lol Maybe I should let her into my island and hide her away, like a disturbing troll who won’t rest until she has me…I’ll sacrifice berliners to her every Thursday to keep her from eating my flesh…

I’m pretty sure before the campsite it’s selected based on personality. Since I’ve restarted a lot I’ve noticed a pattern with villagers moving in before then. You start off with a sisterly and jock villager then get a lazy, peppy and normal villager from the three house plots. That’s all I know though.

I get rid of my villagers and then my friends end up with them, I was hoping this video would explain that

Hey Kora, my friend and I have been experimenting with MIQ/MOQ and I think I can add some things: -friends can pickup villagers from you MIQ either by visiting you or you visiting them -the villagers in my MIQ can show up in hunts if they have joined the MIQ after they were found in a hunt Other comments: - I don't think it is likely that the MIQ can be filled with random villagers (not from friends). They don't always say from where they are from and some people just don't gift their villagers. Also, your MIQ can be empty after moving in less than 4 villagers. My friend's MIQ only had 3 villagers. (Mine had 4, but the last one was picked up after moving in my first MIQ villager) - Once a spot opens in the MIQ, there will be a probability of adopting a villager from each of the next islands you visit/visit you. It will not necessarily fill in the first time you play with someone. - It is possible to have more than one villager from the same island in the MIQ - My data suggests villagers don't stay on your MIQ indefinitely (I've been playing online since April 2020 and only had 3 villagers in my MIQ that were all voided after September/2020) I'd be happy to share my notes with you if you want.

Chief was my dream villager when I got NH. I knew the chances were so low, I had completely sealed off my heart to the idea of ever finding him. Then a year into the game, 2 tickets into a hunt, there he was... I literally cried lol. Thanks for the math to put into perspective just how special the moment was!!

Once, before I used Nookazon and stuff, I was going on a villager hunt and I only had like 20 tickets or something. Every villager I saw wasn’t to my liking, but on the last ticket, it was Bob the cat. I personally am not the biggest fan of him, so I sat there for a while deciding if I should take him or autofill. “What if the autofill is marshal? What if it’s a dreamie??” I autofilled and to my surprise, it was…. Peck the jock bird…. And I have a fairycore island…

You know... I kinda feel bad that many people spend a lot of tickets trying to find villagers like Poppy and Sherb whereas they litterally were the first villagers I found on Mystery Islands when I first started playing.

I just go after personality types and a species I don't have no matter what or how they look, my most recent villager that moved onto my island was Renee the sisterly rhino. What inspired me to accept any villager was the movie Wonder.

When I had Hopper in boxes, someone came for him, and the next day the plot had auto filled. When I went to see who it was, it was Patty from Shellcity, which is the island the person who took Hopper was from and I've never been there... so I think it is possible to get a villager from someone visiting

I have the odd situation where a plot autofilled with a villager from a visited island who actually hadn't moved off that island yet. When introductions were made, he named the "vacated" island from my second switch, I immediately checked and his clone was lounging by the lake.

My sister-in-law had Moose as her starter jock and I think I spoke to him once before he moved out. I have also never encountered Puddles (her starting peppy villager), but then again, I haven't encountered many other villagers yet; my sample size isn't as large

Yes! I have no online friends and let one plot autofill. I had done one trade on Nookazon, so I had been to someone's island. I got Cherry. She had no weird items in her home and made no mention of a previous home. I was looking for food themed villagers and I guess she kinda fits that bill so I got a little lucky, but I'm pretty sure that the game will generate a villager if the move in queue is empty.

ah man hans....i got extremely lucky as my first smug villager wound up being Julian and I screamed in excitement since he's who I wanted for a smug anyways. It was like a dream come true!

just one additional thing that happened to me: the date i went to villager hunt, no villager appeared on the islands (i swear it was the right day). then i associated it to the fact that there was a campsite visitor that day.

Fun fact so the auto fill has odds to give you a Personally you do not have. At the moment I have 0 Big Sisters so if I had a blank void the game would go well he has no Big Sister better fill out the plot with one. So if you are playing a longer game and just seeing who you get as the game gives you random Villagers you can shift your odds more to a Personally by having 0 of that Personally. I was looking for Mira or Cherry or maybe Muffy but I had a lot of Villagers move so I lost out on a Big Sister than happen to get a few others I liked and I filled up all my houses to test something. So I wanted to see how often I got Campers and if the 50% roll on a Big Sister was going to give me an even half and half. It has been over 3 weeks and my 2 Campers have been 1 Big Sister and one Jock. I have not let a house auto fill so I have not seen it give a house to a missing Personally yet. As for a few other things said so a Villager you have had only gets taken out of the Camper list and can never show up as a Camper again until all Campers are gone. But they do pop up on Islands as an Island has no limit. Because of the 50% Camp odds of getting a Personally you do not have and every Villager that moves out plus any Villager that camped getting taken off the list this means that unless they are in the Move In list the Camp will slowly RNG away a group so if you do not mind time travel just get a full set of houses and make sure a Personally is missing then slowly jump to new days and see who the Camper is. Each time you get somebody they get removed and will the 50% pull on Personally you can get most anybody as the list gets smaller but you will be jumping weeks ahead at points so this is all very slow. If they ever update one thing I want the Camper odds to be more than 20% at 6+ days and I would like that 50% pull on a missing Personally to maybe jump to 80-100% after like than extra week. While I was tossing ideas around ideas I had that I think would be cool so you pay like 100,000 Bells or more and they put out an ad for the Camp so then it kind of forces RNG to get your a random Camper the next day. This could at least give you a way to hunt that is not 100% Nook Mile Ticket based. And one last idea for the Nook Miles Tickets. I wish if you used enough you could get them cheaper or just unlock a thing in your game where you can tour for free. Hunts would be way more fun if you could not worry about those as much. Or at least a Bells to Miles conversion.

I got Marshall from move in que but I already had his amiibo and I went to a treasure island that had all the popular villagers that’s how he got there. I also got Audie from “move in que” but I hadn’t been to another island yet it was really early into the game

Nice to know that my move in queue was empty. When a villager moved out, the plot didn't fill up until the 2.0 uptade, probably meaning that it put a random villager or even multiple random villagers in my move in queue. Meaning that one of my three dream villagers might be in there The chance is low but it could be

I treat repeat villager hunter villagers as the same one, returning. Because then Zell’s moving away and coming back constantly (he was my campsite smug) is his wandering soul being drawn back to my island. Also, Grizzly is an amazing cranky! HIS HOUSE IS A CAMPSITE UNDER THE STARS ON A BEACH WHAT?!?!

Ankha was in my campsite once, sadly I had to let her go because she got stuck on Pippy and I reset when I said she could have Curly. I hope she gets in my move in cue again, but it is likely because snooty is the only personality I'm missing on my island (because Cyd just moved in today.) Hopefully I find her again!

Before you get your first campsite villager you can villager hunt when ever you want until you tell 3 villagers to move on and they will be the 3 villagers that move in when Tom nook tells you to build plots I don’t know how the move out bubble works hope this helped

idk how true this is, but for both of my islands, the move-in queue seemed to prioritize different personality types at the very beginning. your starters will be a random jock and sisterly villager, your first three plots are set up for a peppy, lazy, and normal, and your first campsite villager will always be a smug. but then, after that it seems like your next autofills are super likely to be a cranky and snooty, although you seem to have much more freedom to change that. again, unsure if this is the case for everyone but it does seem like something nintendo would do. especially considering the fact that their official island has eight villagers of unique personality types in that order.

Before I got my switch I used to play it on my wii (a co worker gave it) and it had a kangaroo one of my favorites. And the next day she wasn’t there so it made me really sad. That was like around 3 years ago

I really don't use the move in queue since I mostly go to a Nook Miles island and invite the first villager I see.
