I do 100% agree with you on just about everything here and it still pains me to think of all the things that Are there but can’t or won’t come. Though 1 question I feel far more compelled to ask is do you believe MS/Xbox have more of a hand to play in Halo infinites down fall a little more then people give credit for. Yes 343 are not saints and even if there is more good in the studio then bad there are still valid criticisms to be made but at who is what I see people not understanding the most

Thank you for watching and for the kind words. You ask a great question and who should get the most blame is a tough one. 343i deserves blame for never really having a consistent plan and poor management throughout development of the game. Microsoft however really has poor oversight on halo and didn’t see the issues coming until it was too late and when they finally made the changes to the studio just decided to cut its losses instead of trying to turn this thing around. Now it’s like they informed 343 to just squeeze as much money as you can from the community with the most limited resources available to make meaningful content.

One curiosity I noticed with this last update (CU30), is that the store has significantly less stuff in it, and more returning items. There are only 3 new banished themed armor sets next to the 1 free set from the event. Compare this to CU29 where we had 9 new Mk IV armors next to the 1 free event set (insane 90% of Mk IV is paywalled), or the 7 new Chimera sets in the store compared to the 1 event set. If I had to take a wild guess, they either ran out of stuff scrapped from a battlepass to sell, or the guys making the armor are doing other stuff now, since it seemed like they were in overdrive before. TLDR; the store prices are still ass but the volume of new store items is significantly less than before. It feels less insulting that all of the new content goes to the store if it's just two or three armors and not seven to nine.

I left an old forum post (RIP the waypoint forums by the way) and 343 could never get their math right. I'm not talking about overpriced shop bundles. I'm talking about the old challenge-only XP system. I worked out the math and I'm glad I posted this on Reddit too: "Here is my math for the weekly challenges. I'm an English major so correct me if my math is wrong. Keep in mind that up until now, the season was going to last 3 months not 6. And if I remember the flight, the XP lines up with what we saw there. Tier 1: 8 challenges for 200xp each. = 1,600 XP per week Tier 2: 15 challenges for 250 xp each. = 2,000 XP Tier 3: 4 challenges for 300 xp each. = 1,200 XP Total to 4,800 XP per week. Not counting the diminishing daily challenges.100,000xp/4,800xp per week = 20.8 weeks. I'll round up. 21 weeks. That is 4.8 months, so round up to 5.So if you manage to do every single weekly challenge for 5 months, you'll finish the season. Also daily challenges diminish per match. So it will take more matches to reach the next challenge. Remember, there is also no per-match XP. Do with this information as you will. Edit: Also just in case. 100 BP tiers/1000XP per tier is where I got 100,000xp for the season." Present me again. But yeah, even at launch 343's 3 month season would have taken almost 5 months to complete! And remember, we didn't get earnable seasons until season 2. Season 1 had no credits. Spartan points are literally repeating one of the main problems with seasons 1 and 2 (and also partly the reason seasons had to be delayed in the first place) Of course, these updates have literally just been shop updates. The BTB refresh is 2.5 years too late. For reference, aside from the first cyber showdown and winter contingency (busy during those times) I have completed every single event and season. I've been playing since the public flights. I have stood by Infinite in thick and thin. I didn't bother finishing the Yappening, and I haven't played any Halo Infinite since then. As much as I love the banished stuff, it isn't drawing me back. Nothing in these updates are doing anything for me. I need to see new sandbox items in the game. I have plenty of customization, I like how my spartans look now, my usual game modes all have the same maps. And for the other gamemodes I like, they have BR starts which do not belong in casual play. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun. But I've had my time with it. Just like Halo 3, Reach, and 4, I had my time with the game, and without anything new, I'm done. I'll hop on when I have the urge, but otherwise I'm not playing weekly anymore. A note on giving the community the dev/mod tools: This is something that will be limited to PC just like MCC. And MCC already doesn't have FULL campaign cross-play, much less mods for console. In fact, I don't think MCC has anything new. But you're right, Xbox isn't marketing Halo. They had multiple Xbox game showcases that didn't even reuse a trailer. And I don't see that changing. In fact, they aren't marketing anything anymore. They have Hellblade 2 coming out this month, and no one knows about it.

New weapons and new vehicles that are playable content not in the shop need to be added for the player base. Variants are for only a select few who buy from store. Player base gets nothing in the form of weapons vehicles and more modes..where is vip griffball assault multi team ect..where is the og shotgun spartan laser brute shot fuel rod cannon ect. 343 could of done some amazing stuff with adding classic weapons and modes yet they fumbled the bag smh

I still play and enjoy halo infinite for what it is. I was in the top 100 to hit hero and have over 10,000 games played. It’s gotten so repetitive and stale with the sandbox. It is sad what the game could have been, so much potential. I’m excited to try out Xdefiant. Should be a breath of fresh air

@@MarzzmanGaming It’s really good. I thought I was gonna be bad on most multiplayer games, but I’m actually holding my own and doing awesome work. For the Spartan points, yes I do think it’s kinda over the top a bit for getting the things you want, but I really don’t focus on that stuff that much. I only try to save up to get the things I really want, like the Mark 5 Helmet for example. Other than that, I love the game. It handles well and I feel like if they loosen the grip of wanting money, Halo Infinite could be at the top. They were doing something right for the customization maps and A.I., so if they kept that train going, Halo Infinite could match up with the standards of the classic Halo games.

Xbox players have no taste, thats why infinite is in 25th this playlist is modified. No one plys this, only fanboys carry this toystory-esque incomplete game

"Is the new content flow actually relevant enough to keep playing" (paraphrasing) That answer should have always been "no", including with Season's. In fact, the largest uptick of players in all of the content updates was when the Bandit Evo, not to be confused with the Bandit, became the starting weapon in Ranked Arena. The smallest uptick of players happened with Infection, Custom Games Browser, and of course, Firefight. This is where we need to see a different picture -- Why is it that they moved to "CU" over Season's? The answer: Making extensive customizable player model's/armor, and releasing each in 100-tier paid battle passes wasn't profitable, nor was it feasible to continue to do, and it didn't bring anyone to replay the game any differently than today's current state. Now hold your reply, I can already tell it's going to be "no that's objectively false", is it? Because, from analytical data -- It's not false, at all. In fact, with empirical evidence, we can concretely see that Halo Infinite has never once benefitted, nor been in a disadvantageous situation due to this sorts of content, and in fact, it's actually harmed the state of the game (as a whole), rather than the people anticipating this content. Content Update's should be viewed as a faster way to provide meaningful updates, and meaningful content, to the game in a faster and more capable manner that does not impede based on duration of "large" update. Previously, they were required to hold off on incremental updates due to requiring a full install of the game when doing so, which in turn, lead to numerous "small" updates being pushed months after, which (created) many problems from this along the way. Content Updates are a net positive, and hopefully they'll move back to seasonality after getting what they want to accomplish done. Yes, that means Halo Infinite isn't done, it's just undergoing a major change.

How do we save Halo, as a whole, and predominantly the game we know of as "Halo Infinite"? 1) Rebrand the entry to separate these two games. "Infinite" was the previous title provided to the game tailored to a social-casual experience. "New" rebrand is the game for everyone else. 2) Separate "Social" into either it's own game (launcher) or an individual Match Composure (Social Composure), thus allowing for numerous queues while not caring about weight times. 3) Remove the current "TrueSkill2" implementation, replace with an implementation that focuses around CSR, rather than winrate. Put this to all non-social playlists. 4) Make the CSR a Skill-Progression metric, equal to 1-50, but in newer rank format, using a bell curve. 5) Make upwards of 10-12 of these variety skill oriented playlists, with each of them rotating between each accustomed meta shift of the HCS season's. 6) Developer maps only. "Community maps", with respect, undergo severe scrutiny before being put into matchmaking. No more "falling on pebbles" in an FPS. 7) Minor meta changes every few months to provide large swings of competition with minimal overhead. Larger meta changes every year putting entirely "new" experiences in the hands of the players or even competitors. 8) Battle Pass must be an FPS battle pass -- Weapon models, weapon coatings, weapon attachments. Store must be either pop-culture in player cosmetic (no lore, period), or specifically tailoring to rare weapon affiliated cosmetics. 9) A competitor Battle Royale, created by the developers, to be designed as the defacto "Halo Battle Royale". Zero PvE, since this has never been popular in any Halo FPS (period, proven). 10) Update this portion of the game substantially more, taking feedback of not just typical matchmaking players, but professional players alike, and creating a separate "HCS" playlist just for the competitor player feedback to take affect. Finally. 11) Balance the games sandbox around classic Halo design as upon launch -- Weapons with "super fast ttk" are hard to use, weapons with "low ttk" are easy to use. Less pickup weapons that aren't power weapons (classic Halo), and maps gravitating toward control oriented play, rather than "3 lane easy map to make it more digestible for a casual". All "social", aka "casual halo fan" playlists and features are only in the singular "composure" playlist, which shouldn't be a focal point, nor an area for continuous updates. Updates to this should be minor, at best, and at worst for "fixing bugs". Not for updating or adding content. Content in this situation should be stipulated behind "You have forge, a custom game, a custom games browser, and an all access derivative of the game settings, make your own casual content", since not only has the developer been incapable of creating "some youtubers imaginary belief of how infection should be", but simply that the "community" that thinks Halo should be popular as such, should be the ones to actually make the content for this section. 343 should never add anything they create into matchmaking directly, and in fact, there should be a simple checkmark box for the Social Composure for "community" where it's a rotated community option that cycles through community content that was added. If anything, at the extreme case, they have more of these tickboxes, but these should only be used sparingly since community maps are not only the highest quit rate maps of Halo in general, but disliked by the broader majority of fans overall. And be sure to stay tuned as this slowly happens and evolves over time. The "Unreal engine" Halo is a spinoff game, not mainline entry, and to my knowledge it shouldn't have any multiplayer attached in the traditional sense. In addition, this game is multi-platform and is one of the numerous entries headed over to other platforms. Meanwhile, the next mainline Halo game is in discussion phases still, but to break into the future of the series, they first need to figure out where they failed with this game. The only way to find that out, is by actually trying polar opposites. What attracts players, what doesn't, what went wrong, and where will it go right. Having a pseudo "content complete" game is all well in good, but what defines "content complete" when the fanbase does nothing but create "what defines Halo" out of thin air until they receive it, then create this belief that "if the game doesn't have everything every game had in existence, ever, in mankind since the 1960's, it's not content complete". How on Earth can 343 be the only development studio held to this insane standard, when people don't even hold any other game to it? It's like asking 343 to remove skill matchmaking in Halo, the game that created & popularized skill matching.

I follow halo since its beginning. Its most of its media. Halo infinite was great at the start, seemed like we were on track. But no. I think MS/343 burned halo brand, its not relevant anymore and i feel infinity.. and halo as a whole... isnt for me anymore. I dont think the franchise is salvable.

I came back after years and my last game was halo 4, halo infinite is just annoying. The first thing that pops up is micro transactions and battlepass garbage. Currency to buy stuff, this is just dumb as fk. No starting BR’s I get the same 2 maps in big team heavy, if theses are the “improvements” I can’t even imagine how it was in the beginning. No clans? No full career stats? No elites? But for sure updated Market to buy stuff you used to unlock through playing, this is just another battle royal/extraction garbage game that wants you to spend to survive.🐒💩💯
