Thank you for the tour. I was there in MarchApril. Born on Weno and lived there till I was 12. finally after retirement I went back to visit for 3 weeks. sorry you did not visit the other islands and do some snorkeling or diving. My trip was sad to see the regression of the area but meeting the people especially those I grew up with as a child was awesome. Chuukese are good people, kind and generous. came back to the USA and now I dream of going back almost every night. there is so much opportunity to help and do good there. To me there is too much religion and politics are skewed. people are poor and not many in power are helpful. they need leadership and resources to help jumpstart the economy which right now is in shambles...and it does not help living through typhoons and not getting proper assistance to rebuild. covid was also devastating. But I have hope that it will get better!!!!!

Micronesia also includes Guam, Palau, Saipan, Marshall, Nauru, and Kiribati. So you gotta be specific by saying FSM (Federated States of Micronesia). FSM is made up of Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, and Yap along with all of their outer islands.😊

The island you visited is only the main island of Chuuk but there are other lagoon islands and outer islands. Chuuk does have tiny island resorts to go swimming and the nice beaches are usually on the outer islands where you can only reach by ships.

Interesting. Lots of built up and planned buildings. Very different from Sangir Islands in Indonesia, seems to be quite clean.

Try pohnpei you won’t regret, there’s a ruin, tons of waterfalls, a town full of restaurants(cool restaurants actually ) people are so nice and friendly and a lot more.

Chuuk has a high crime rate and isnt safe to walk as a lone female especially at night or on certain parts of island. Other than that its a special place and has its own beauty and uniqueness.

The word kurusha comes from the English word crusher, as in rock crusher, for gravel used in road construction and what not. I lived in Kurusha in the mid 80s when the actual rock crusher was there and in use.

Was deployed there for 6 months. We stayed at the truuk stop. Did some work at one of the highschools was a very cool experience. Lots of ship wrecks newr by. You should deffinently check it out maybe get your diving license.

*As you all can see our islands and nation is very small compare to others, the roads aren't finished even th hotels are not as the same as In USA 🇺🇸 hotel also their are too many cars on a small island. It just made my head go crazy 😕*
