I was told the "kin no unko" was the olympic torch as Asahi sponsored the Summer Olympics and had this built to commemorate the occasion. It is a golden flame but to ward against earthquakes they placed it sideways instead of vertically.

If you have 5 minutes to google a golden turd surely you can speedrun every main temple in Tokyo

fun fact: that golden turd looking thing was made by a French designer called Phillipe Starck together with a Japanese man named Unko Gōrudo , who famously got permission back in 1975 to use filtered out poop from water cleaning plants in Yokohama to pressure these turds into a sort of rock solid clay that he would then boil even further down to a proper small gold looking brick that appeared golden because of the glimmering yellow sulphur left over from washed of bacteria. the building was finished in 1989 and anyone that has drank there has got to see the beautiful site of shit turned golden up close. anyway happy late April 1st

Love that the content's kinda outside the box here. I was so close to visiting it at one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit Asia. Great channel!
