I think that even the opening is close enough that you know exactly what the clone is shooting for. Maybe I’m optimistic, but I put the opening at about 90% similar. - I agree completely that the dry down is close to 95%.

I’ve got it & it’s beast, very close to my vintage Layton batch. Alexandria fragrance has a great Layton clone that takes away that “Vicks vapor” vibe that’s a better option for date night

I love AF version of Layton(Royal Equestrian).I don't understand why it doesn't get mentioned as a great alternative to Layton plus I think that RE last longer than Detour Noir IMO

About 8 months ago clone vids started popping up & now many reviewers are all over them - there’s even 1 reviewer who does 60% clone reviews. What I’ve found is you can get a clone for $50 or a 9ml decant of the real deal for $50 The decant will last a year once it’s in your rotation. (maybe 2 depending on number of fragrance you have) The full size will last SEVERAL years in your rotation and you’ll find something better before you empty it. *but I say this because I’m maxing out at 15 full size bottles and I’m at 11.

Hey Brother ! You need to render videos with higher bitrate because these 1080p videos look like 480p Also try getting a 4K if you are in a position to get one, or if you are already recording with 4k, try to render the videos in 4k with high bitrate

I have detour noir, lalique white in black, maison alhambra leyden, and amber oud exlusif bleu. First two are good, near identical. Leyden is okay but has a menthol note I don't like. Amber oud exlusif bleu is definitely the one to get. Long lasting and very high quality.

Bowtie, you need to get Al Haramain Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu, it' is much better and smoother version of Layton.

I'm not a specialist (that's why ai am here), but to my nose cardamom and 4-6 hours of longevity put together smell like a date fragrance. Not bad! Thanks for the review!

I got Detour Noir earlier this week. I like the fragrance, it gets close to Layton. The downside, it doesn’t last. It’s a faint skin scent by hour 5, kinda disappointing.

Yes this is a secret gem I use very frequently it comes in a horrible bottle but I just decanted it into another bottle with a better atomizer anywho the juice is killer’ it’s perfect cause I can limit my usage of Layton

Can i ask if it smells anything like Pure xs from paco rabanne? Because i really hate the scent of pure xs and dont want to make mistake with this one.. ? I am tempted to buy layton and wanna get al harmain first to check due to not being able to check the layton in any of the shops.. i really hate Sauvage used it 2 or 3 times and left the whole bottle

The Woods Collection Dusk, is more Layton than Layton Brother. Simply the best dupe out there! Detour Noir is overhyped and I'm tired of hearing about it. Lol.

Recently got detour noir. Haven't tried Layton, but I sure hope Layton's opening isn't that awful. Decent on the dry down but it doesn't last the longest. Plus it's not that great on clothes. I can't imagine Layton being this bad. I just can't. I can only imagine Layton being 100,000x times better than this.

It had to have been reformed, if that’s the review on it now compared to others, mine is not as mentholic in the opening as Layton but mine is easy 95% on and lasts 10+ hrs, projection easily 2-3 hrs. 😕 I’ve had both formulations of Layton.

New? No. Layton killer? Also no. I have both. Detour has the drydown close but that's about at a 70% range. Flat compared to the OG. For the price tho I highly recommend it.
