I think it depends on your application - I applied to sell last week and got approved in less than 24 hours. I did post a photo of all my inventory bins, and gave a link to my eBay store.

I just started getting on Whatnot as a buyer and I have to say I absolutely LOVE It. Coming from Canada I typically pay 15-22 for shipping on the first item and then discounted shipping of 2.50$ usually for each after. THANKS for the informative video.

I applied for whatnot in the storage unit finds and was approved in 24 hours…. I was expecting to wait a few weeks then start selling around the first of the year but I was approved overnight and didn’t even have to do a onboarding…. I was waiting for the email to do the onboarding but after not hearing back from whatnot after a few days I emailed them and they said my live stream button is on and active so I’m doing my first show Dec 29th during a raid train with other sellers to get my toes wet… hope to see you there

Just one question about shipping? Do you just weigh your item and put that in or do you weigh your item including box, supplies used to ship item?

I'm getting hooked on WhatNot. How do people selling junk drawer items for $3-$10 get approved to sell and someone who has a pretty successful "account", not store, on eBay not get approved. Makes no sense. Hopefully, it will get better.

I went to download the app and there was a bunch of negative reviews saying it's really easy to accidentally buy things/bid on things. Has that been fixed? my daughter is always grabbing my phone amd I'm scared haha

Sorry if any of these have already been asked, but I'd like to ask a few questions: • Now that you have reduced the number of volume of merchandise you have to store, have you keep your storage unit? I imagine that thing is/was a not-inconsiderable chunk out of your bottom line • You mentioned that you might do a few if there was enough viewer interest, but did you ever get around to doing specific videos devoted entirely to tutoring on how to use Whatnot? • Would you consider adding playlists by topic to your channel? I feel like it would make it easier to search just for the content I'm looking for, so I won't get overwhelmed by the volume of content and miss things. :)

I think people will buy from people they like. I don’t think you have to be super loud to get your items selling. You have to be fun and engaging, keeping the interest. Emptyhanger is slower paced then Nicole State but totally different people but both strong smart women. I shop both. I’ve seen other big sellers just rush all the way and it’s a turn off, not a lot of engagement. Some come across like all they want is $$ not to have a fun time. Not with Nicole and not with Jenna from Emptyhanger. You ladies rock! Thank you 😊

You can't let that discourage you! I don't have a following either and had the same thought process. I realized that IF I started to sell on whatnot, I most likely wouldn't be as successful as say Nicole state or the Deal queen bc they brought their social media following to them (at as they should, they earned it). I realized that I would rather try 10x live shows, loose a little money, then always wonder IF I would have been successful. You can't be afraid of failure or disappointment in this business! There may only be 5 people in my first 6 shows, then by the time I get to 10, I'll have 30! You never know until you try. You gotta be smart and find a niche. What makes YOUR show special and makes people want to come back. I have tons of ideas that I hope are good ones that may help set me apart from most sellers but I guess we'll see!! Good luck and don't be afraid of possibly failing, it's all part of the growing experience!!

I advise others to not send the photo/video separately from the application. I had a large video file so I intended to email it separately after submitting my application. Before I could email the video, I received a denial 20 MINUTES after submitting the application. So...that nicely edited video was wasted.

Why are people Sh*t talking referring to whatnot --- the same people talking sh*t about referring to what not are the ones that are all over instagram squaking about posher vA and oneshop. So if they are going to talk smack about whatnot people they need to take a hard look in the mirror for conning people into signing up to posher va and oneshop and all the others. They need to practice what they preach.
