What is Wrong with G2? Well that is what everyone in the community is asking, but why?
Before we switched over to CS2, G2 actually won the last “big” event in CSGO, by winning IEM Cologne, so many thought they would take over in CS2, but this has clearly not happened

G2 lose half their matches cause they ego peek like it's nobody's business. They can get by playing it safe but no, let's peek them untimely while we stroke our pee pees.

What G2 need to d o for better rounds and retakes is... drop Nexa get JKS back, their play styles are polar opposites, Nexa is a slow lurking player while JKS will run you down fast then you knew what happened, Nexa is holding angles while he could be making ground for retakes and site hits, it feels like G2 have been lost since the team change

Severe mental attitude problems, mostly niko.. destroying team morale whenever things don’t go flawless. Team literally needs a professional psychologists. And I am willing to put real money on the fact that this team will preform actually better if they kick niko and get a random C-tier player.

You're right, Niko malds a lot, I guess that's just his personality. But I don't think G2 would bench him. He's starting to play really well. My solution for G2 would be benching Hunter and Nexa and replacing them with players who play their positions and are also an upgrade in firepower. G2's loose playstyle needs a lot of firepower. They had that with JKS but they didn't appreciate what he brought to the table.

@@elizabethmurigi1131 looking at teams like apeks and monte, clearly if they had coordinationthey would be better. I think hooxi and taz need to get an actual consistent system because clearly the firepower is enough on this team to win tournaments. They have that side covered its the mental side thats the issue. Im also not convinced niko brings the team down, he might just mald for a second and then reset. We have absolutely no idea how the comms are

@@captainminecraftist Hooxi isn't the problem mate. But Taz needs to do more than just fistbumps. And you're wrong about the firepower. G2's floor is really low and at the moment they're relying on mONESY and Niko to carry them. You need a lot of firepower to win games in CS2 generally. Like look at MOUZ, Spirit, FaZe, and even Astralis currently. You have to frag a lot more on the CT side especially, and that why you need an anchor like Jimi, Zontix, or Staehr who can get you multifrags or kill one or two before dying to make retakes easier. That's what JKS brought to G2 but they didn't know what they had till it was gone.

@@belgiumball2308 If all it takes to take a slight downgrade in your fourth best player on your team for your team to go from winning katowice and cologne to performing like garbage, then it's the system that is rotten to the core and the only thing that allows you to win these previous tournaments are your team's firepower. At iem cologne 2023, niko had a 1.35 overall rating, monesy had a 1.32 overall rating, hunter had a 1.21 overall rating and jks had a 1.09 overall rating. This is so absurd that not even the 2019 team liquid roster is able to match this kind of firepower. Therefore, hooxi who is the most responsible for this rotten core of g2 should be fired. g2 with niko, top 2 of 2023, and monesy, top 4 of 2023 and currently the best cs2 player in the world, should not be fucking losing to navi with 0 top 20 players 6 times in a fucking row!!! And the worst part is, g2 without jks actually performed significantly better at major than g2 with jks.

I can save everyone some time... G2 suck because a. they kicked jks. b. Niko tilts if ANYTHING doesn't go his way. he's got a very young, skilled player sitting next to him, and that attitude can cascade through the whole team. Get rid of Niko, he's done.

I heard that JKS isn't happy with being the anchor player and "communication problem". But getting nexa is just a bad move.

@@HienNguyen-cs1mdthis was a lie. If he wasn't happy playing those roles then he would have benched himself or requested for a transfer but that was not the case. JKS was literally the second best anchor last year but they said that he wasn't communicating in-game and they wanted good vibes. The guy won Katowice with FaZe as a stand-in and was the highest rated player when G2 won Katowice. You can't be that good if you don't know how to communicate.
