I'm mad the staff was so rude to her instead of saying that's for being proactive and showing up early. Waiting 6 hours is insane.

The schedule they worked with probably changed but the system didn't contact Jenny due to timeline. They never know the backend story, they just have to accommodate with bed space. She was probably one of six that happened too. Someone else more urgent caused that bump x 3 pushing her that late. Imagine working under that stress daily with no breaks to eat and short staffed due to booking change.

Unfortunately hospitals are almost never in alignment with the planned schedule. It’s just a part of medicine you have to accept. It’s nobody’s fault, nor does it have anything to do with not being organized. Patients are essentially given priority levels. If an emergency case or high priority case comes up, they will be bumped ahead before the others, oftentimes with very little warning. This pushes everything else back, through no fault of the hospital, doctors or nurses. That’s just the way it works. As a full time lifelong patient due to a critical progressive disease, this is just a normal occurrence for me, and waiting is something I just expect when dealing with any aspect of the medical system, whether that’s doctors appointments, testing or procedures. I know it’s nobody’s fault and I know that all of the staff is just doing the best they can, especially right now with all of the staffing shortages. I’ve learned to be grateful for having to wait. If it’s a doctor’s appointment and I’m waiting for the doctor long past my appointment time despite arriving early myself, I actually take that as a GOOD sign that that particular doctor is likely not rushing their patients and is taking their time listening to them. Additionally, if I’m waiting at the hospital for hours past my appointment time for a test or procedure, this is also something to be THANKFUL for, because it means that you are not as bad off as the person who was placed at a higher priority/in an emergency situation resulting in the entire schedule being pushed back. This is something I am even more thankful for now, as over the last 10 years I myself have been the patient who was highest priority and needed emergent care, with me being the one pushing everyone else’s procedures or testing back. After awhile of being a full time patient with a debilitating disease, you’ll eventually get used to the constant waiting, and perhaps even welcome it sometimes. Take it as an opportunity to relax, read a book, or do some sort of hobby or craft, and as an opportunity to be grateful that, at least for that day, someone was a higher priority than you are. That’s always something to be thankful for. And it also doesn’t hurt to show some love, appreciation and thankfulness towards the hardworking nurses and doctors who are just doing their best to manage an impossible amount of responsibility and unreliable circumstances every single day to keep an entire hospital running as smoothly as humanly possible (while also combating and navigating an extremely poorly designed and unreliable computer system that often messes things up, through no fault of the humans trying to work it). They deserve to be thanked, yet so rarely are. They also deserve the kind of grace that Jenny so sweetly gave them.

Hi Jenny & Kyle, I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Agree 💯 that the healthcare system has lost the “care” portion. I can’t imagine how you both feel. You seem to be handling it w/courage & grace. It disturbs me also that you were already dealing with so much, yet they cannot even be bothered to realize your time is precious. Admire the support you give one another. Agree. A little more empathy and not treat us like we add to their burden. But it is what it is. It’s not their cancer. Just one of the stresses of being a cancer patient

Cancer is a bitch, no doubt about it. Had cancer, did the surgery, did radiation, did the chemo. Later had two hernias. Now dealing with peripheral neuropathy - starting with my feet, and continuing up my legs. You just take it one day at a time, cause Cancer is a bitch.

Jenny’s is hers no one will truly understand hers same with my grandson praise god there’s a village of people we lean into of those we trust. People who don’t need to say anything at all but are just there

@@erniefeline2215 Try spraying your legs with magnesium oil. It’s helped me immensely. I do this once or twice weekly and now the neuropathy is only in my feet .Taken this way , your liver doesn’t have to deal with it.

@@taraalan1131 I just found out that Walmart sells Pain Relieving 4% Lidocaine cream , and also Hemorrhoids cream with lidocaine @ 5%. I am currently have some success with this. I am writing down your suggestion also. Aspercreme with Lidocaine wasn't any relief. I appreciate your comment, and thank you!
