Wow, they're so positive and...poetic about the weather. I mean I've never heard anyone say "any weather is good weather" in English. Cute. :)

yeah, definitely a nonchalance there you don't get because Americans, as a Floridian/Philadelphian myself, think too hard about the way of interaction and don't just answer simply, which gives poetry its freedom :)

thank you! good job! nice to see new people on this channel. for anyone criticizing the way she speaks: i think it's good that we have Anya who speaks much slower than native speakers and her videos are maybe for A1-B1 levels and now we have Vita who speaks as a fast as a native speaker and we listen to real, natural Russian speech and that helps levels B2-C2. but of course all videos of Anya and Vita are good for everyone. it's just a good balance i think!

I love this episode!! Everyone needs to be able to talk about weather. Also, beyond the various preferences, I loved when people said they liked all weather, or that there was not point in preferring any type of weather over another, or when they mentioned positive aspects of weather others may have found unpleasant. Lots of philosophy here. Also, the people on the street were easy to understand. Vita brought out some great smiles on the rainy day! Also, the topic brought out a lot of repetition in vocabulary between speakers, which is so helpful to learners. Thanks for the video.

When I watched her first video I thought she was speaking very fast and still do but you can't ask her to slow down if that's how she and native speakers, speak. They know she is a native speaker so just use the captions and go over each phrase in the video if you like. If YOU are speaking Russian with a person you can always ask them to slow down and I'm sure they will accommodate. Keep up the good work! :)

She does speak machine-gun fast, that's for sure... I think it's very reasonable to ask your teacher to slow down with respect to how he speaks normally with his mates, after all speaking slowly and clearly it's not that difficult and I dare say it's a necessary skill for a language teacher

Personally, I had no trouble understanding Russian at this speed. Even though I've only studied Russian for a year, or a little less, and the only Russian that's spoken around me is often quite slow and a mix between Russian and Swedish. I really liked this speed because I felt that I needed to train my listening comprehension at higher speeds, in case I ever talk with a Russian who spekas faster than the Russian I've been hearing. (I'm half Russian (my mom is Russian) and half Swedish, but I never learnt Russian growing up. There's only four native speakers of Russian in my family nowadays)
@grahamstewart87

Yes, very reasonable to ask your teacher. She isn't your teacher, though. She's a native speaker having a basic conversation with other native speakers about the weather. The information provided by her is for people who are self learning. Also, if she decided to slow down, what speed would she speak and would everyone be happy with that speed? You can't please everyone.

minute: 1:15. такой isn't always "such." Often times it translated more like " noun +like this." So in this sentence a better rendition would be.."Weather like this" and not "such weather." Like this/like that is translated by one word "такой" I often hear that mistake from Russian speakers.

Russians walk around wearing American t-shirts. Americans do not walk around with Russian t-shirts. Why are you Russians so eager to copy and get involved with American corporate advertising? what are you thinking about when doing such weird things? Why are you listening to American music and watching our TV shows? What is the matter with you?

The other interviewers don't opt for long-winded introductions, either, or they delete those scenes. After all, they have to keep the videos short. I think she did a good job, and she's actually genuine. Most people I see on KZfaq interacting with others aren't.
