Fuck it, new Intel HDs are just about enough. All new games are a massive disappointment, to me at least... SW Battlefront (overall underwhelming), No mans sky (just few planets copy pasted), new NFS (everything from always online to unresponsive handling), overwatch is just a fucking TF2 with girls in tightsuits (I don't know what I expected). If Battlefield 1 disappoints me I'll probably just buy some laptop as my next PC, about enough to play Battlefront II (2005) and Need For Speed: Underground II (2004). Good old days when developers aimed to make a quality games to attract people rather than just monetizing hype, milking old brands and/or scamming people on pre-orders.

Who the hell buys a GPU on Amazon? The prices for hardware are lower elsewhere (atleast in germany). And waiting three weeks is really much but two days is kind of "to quick". I use Amazon too for other stuff but I try to avoid it as they don't give a damn about their workers and several other reasons as for example domination of the market.

RedblockFV That's assuming he has a 144Hz monitor. Besides, FPS and Hz are not the same thing. The monitor will still run at the refresh rate it is set to be and if the GPU can't keep up by a handful of frames it's not the end of the world. Everyone is so obsessed about chasing numbers...

Not condoning insulting the guy, but there is a very clear reason here. He has an 8350 and bought a 1080, when he could of vastly upgraded his CPU for much less than it cost him to buy a 1080 instead of a 1070. In the end, the performance would have been roughly the same, but with the added benefit of being able to run far more PC games smoother that have been leaning towards CPU usage rather than GPU. It is his money, so whatever, but it is just odd than one would prioritize buying an overkill GPU when they have a sub par CPU at a time where many PC developers are wanting to push that hardware the most.

Can't give you numbers as my profiles are all supervised but I can rest you assure that with how much performance Intel puts out even on it's tiny i3 cpus... they are kinda "shitting" on AMD hard at the moment. Also, for logokas. I personally recomend you move to a core i5 6600K and OC it to 4.2 GHz. I'm not an intel fanboy but... I got a bit of insider info and belive me. AMD is putting out some amazing CPUs but they will still be under what intel offers right now.

It will not however outperform the 8320 in tasks such as X264 encoding or other CPU based software. Also... look. I understand your frustrations and I understand that you hate facts but... take a look at the steam hwsurvey (store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey). Nvidia is at the moment in the PCs of over 57% of the gamers that use steam. Intel is dominating heavily the market with a whopping over 77% usage. Why do you think that they own so much market share? Is it because they are a more reliant source of CPU power compared to AMD while gaming? Yes. Also, a lot of cheap PCs contained cheap Intel chips because they outpowered even newer AMD chips. (A pentium performing better than a 4300 series cpu) There are different kinds of people around the world. I like to think of myself as being more of the realist type. Search for benchmarks and show me that I'm wrong. But don't forget, we are talking gaming wise and very little synthetically wise. I'd like to see if you actually find benchmarks in which Intel gets beaten by AMD (And like you said, it's not something like zip compression speed or something that is completely useless at the moment).

If a benchmark says that a 6700K is getting 100 fps in a game and a 8320 gets 43 fps, then in that game, you obviously need more single core performance that the 8320 doesn't manage to give out. Also, this is not a "fucking moral issue". You made it a moral issue when stating that Intel are assholes, I just told you that no matter what they are, they perform better. Also, No man's Sky was a stupidly badly ported game. Everybody said it, even some devs said it.

Actually most of the time the game runs at 130 FPS which I believe is a hardcoded maximum FPS for the Overwatch engine.

I thought it was weird, too, so I walked straight into a wall and stared at it. The ingame FPS counter would not budge past 130.
