I know there's people out there trying to do harm, but people like me and them we just want to have a normal life like you. Be able to go to college be able to drive. Things many people take for granted. I never drove illegally just because I knew it was wrong. Then again people tell you to leave a country that you pledge allegiance too which I did! I raise are flag almost everyday at my job. They want us to leave a country we call home to a place we don't even know. Its hard to understand when you haven't gone trough it. I work with a lot of republicans. I see there views and they see mines. They know where I came from and when I went to my interview every last one of them said they would write letters or go show there support for me. Sorry for posting this long post its just hard for both you and me. You want a safe country I completely understand and I applaud you for it. Cause I want the same thing.

She's literally 15 minutes away from the beach and has a huge mango tree in her backyard. I’ve always wanted to go to college but when I graduated last year I was told I wouldn’t get financial help and my family was struggling even just to pay bills so I couldn’t go. I work somewhere doing heave work and I’d much rather be studying to be a teacher😞. It makes me really sad sometimes, like what’s the point of even being here if I’m limited to so many things

I think the only way people will ever understand the hardships and struggles is for them to experience it themselves. Humans are greedy and selfish by nature. Sometimes when I'm angry about how unfair it is I just wish their words could come back and bite them. But then I realize that I'm a much better person than that. I also appreciate those who do try and understand. Words are much easier said than done. One thing my parents have always taught me, is to not judge someone else's struggles unless I've walked in their shoes.

Why is breaking this law ok and breaking another not ok? laws keep us safe and many people have immigrated legally. its unfair to people who went throught the process as my grandparents did from korea. Also, immigrating illegally is dangerous. I dont believe every illegal immigant is a murderer but i do believe statistically there are bound to be a few bad apples. were all human yes but we also need to follow rules or else were just animals in chaos.

If you are illegal, you don't file tax returns or pay state or federal income taxes, it costs taxpayers around $10,000 per year per student for education, they drive without licenses or auto insurance, 62% receive some welfare, and all we hear from them Is, "I want, I want, I want." They don't belong here and they don't deserve anything.

I am scrolling down and seeing all of these comments on "My mom, dad, grandparents, etc. waited years to get to America, it's not fair that people here illegally get support". You're right, it's not fair, but what about the dreamers who didn't even choose to come here? Here's a solution... MAKE THE IMMIGRATION PROCESS EASIER!!! I know, it's easier said than done, but if we can make it just a little easier for incoming immigrants it can make a huge difference in this "illegal immigrant" problem. America's government is far from perfect, (just like how it's always been...) but with this change to make the process easier, more and more people will support America and that means more soldiers, doctors, lawyers, chefs, teachers, and engineers!

It was heartbreaking to listen to Obama make the speech announcing DACA in 2012 and think about how now, only a few years later in 2017, not only are 800,000 dreamers having to live in fear of loosing their "home" but also the family and friends that have to worry about keeping them safe.

I guess other legal immigrants are not dreamers when they come here legally. They come here by air, sea and lands. The illegal migrants just cross the border. To deliver babies to become instant American by birth they just cross the borders.

My mother waited 18 years to come into this country. It's almost an insult to all the hard work my family had to go through to get her to America and everyone thinks that they can just bypass the line of law abiding citzens? and then they expect protection for breaking the law? It's sad and all but it's unfair to all the people who are waiting to come into America LEGALLY EDIT: I know it wasn't the dreamer's choice but we have to hold someone responsible. I feel bad for them, but what'll become of our country if no one follows the laws? Instead of giving them protection for being here ILLEGALLY then we should try and improve the system to make it a little bit easier for them to get here legally. For everyone saying that the system is very hard, there is a reason why the system takes too long. One, because there are so many wonderful people that want to come to America. And Two, because they have to make sure that everyone coming here is safe and that we WANT them in our country. There is a REASON why it's hard. And just because the system is hard doesn't mean DREAMER's parents should have bypassed it because were they came from was troubled. Again, everyone has to be responcible for breaking the law and if it means having to deport the dreamers (I know it's sad) then it has to be done.

The idea of an amnesty on illegal immigrants is shocking, if it happens it should start with a refund of any money legal immigrants spent getting their papers. Immigration should be a transparent, fair and equal system, or failing that no system at all.

Couldn't scroll too far without being overwhelmed by a lack of compassion that stems from ignorance. I don't have firsthand experience of what this must feel like, but I have friends that do and help educate me and anyone who wants to learn. DACA is not about the person who made the choice to come here, it's about the ones who were brought here and grew up here. Just imagine that you grew up speaking some German or Hungarian or Swedish at home. You know some of the traditions from family, but you've never been there or don't remember it. Now move there and never come back. What does that feel like? How do you start over?

I don't think the majority of people understand how hard it is for people from predominately non-white countries to even get visas... my Spanish teacher is from Peru and I took her 8 years to get a working visa even though she was a highly educated individual with a masters degree and financial stability. People just need to check their privilege and try to understand the struggle of becoming a citizen when you aren't born into it.

What you need to make these people understand is that it wasn't you who illegally moved here, it was your FAMILY, and you were brought along. You were a minor, even a baby, and you deserve a happy life in a country you love no matter where your parents came from.

I know a way to fix this immigration problem, in the constitution it states that anyone who is born in America is legally an American citizen, in other countries, at least one of the parents need to be a citizen of that country so the child could be a citizen, I think we should use this rule, because the problem is, illegal immigrants come into this country and have children, and then the government can't kick the parents out because someone needs to support the children, if this rule was in place, this wouldn't be a problem, and the rate of immigration will go down

These are illegal migrants and not the legal immigrants who met the requirements for legal immigrations. The legal immigrants do not cut the lines above other people. The legal immigrants are not even eligible tor DACA. DACA are for people whoc come here illegally and support by lawmakers who wnated to extend them benefits which legal immigrants do not get. It is more political since it is catering to special groups of people at the expense of other legal immigrants.

Well yeah if you are illegal in the country and aren't a citizen it's unfair to the people that are and have a citizenship not just for people born in the country but for immigrants as well. It just makes sense that if you want to live in the country you become a citizen because it tells the government that you agree to follow the law and in return get your rights protected and if you aren't a citizen then you aren't agreeing to anything so it makes sense to get deported. Not trying to hate just the truth. I get that if you didn't have a choice to come into the country but that shouldn't be an excuse. I get that the process isn't easy to become a citizen but if you are scared for yourself and family you would be willing to go through that process.
