This video is a description of my experience owning pueblan milksnake (Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli). This video will be covering observation of the animal within the enclosure, handling, and husbandry needs, allowing a petowner to understand what they are getting into if they decide to aquire a pueblan milk snake.

Dude, you nailed this! I am often critical of care videos, it is a fault of mine. But you told it like it is. I hope that beginners researching Pueblan milksnake care find this video.

It’s great to see this. I’ve been researching milk snakes for a long time to make sure I’m doing everything right, and I just got a baby Pueblan milk. They’re just the most beautiful and sweetest snake.

Great video! Just purchased my first Pueblan milk snake baby, Introduced her to her new habitat, and sure enough she borrowed into that aspen and out of sight! I have a bag of 100 pinky mice frozen, but I’ll give her 24 hours or so to adjust a little bit to a new environment before I feed her. Again, thanks for very informative video! 👍

I handle a Pueblan today and yes they are very flighty and fast but he chilled out a bit once he got use to me. Might still buy him though if he’s still there

Interesting, one of her color bands near her tail is the double yellow band that would be inidicitive of a South American Coral snake species, she's imitating a coral snake with one of her color segments, just not the coral snakes that live in central Mexico.

I had a pueblan for years that pounded live fuzzy mice for its whole life. Just snatched them right up and swallowed them alive, several in a feeding. I once mistakenly fed her too large of an adult mouse that she "gave back" the next day. Lucky that I didn't put her off food entirely or otherwise seriously injure her. Poor judgment. So after that, I went with multiple fuzzies at a time and am very cautious about food size with all my snakes. But man, was she a strong feeder. Just remarkable. A good pet snake.

Yea, my corn snake ate her live pinkies and fuzzies alive as well, brutal. She’s since grown too big and has mainly been eating hopper mice, though she gets the occasional rat pup

I handled my Puebloan alot because I bought him just after his firs t feeding so he knew my scent and wad not a threat one day he went up my sleeve and out my neck, and my pocket must have looked as a dark his cause he cralwed down in my pocket so I left him there and timed him he spent 2 hours in there later abought a 48 inch aquarium and a chocolate king snake again as a baby I also bought 2 hides for them and put each in a side and and went to work. I fed the king in a critter cage so neither looked like-e a meal when I got home the next morning I seen 2 tales in one hide so thinking one burrowed undder tthe other side and killed the other snake to my surprise both were alive just wrapped arounder each other sleeping I separated them again and watched them the milk got past the divider and again wrapped up with the king !! I have been able to keep both together just as long as I feed one separably

Her pattern break near her tail where she has 2 yellows without a red in between is actually a perfect mimic of a south american coral snake. So she's imitating a coral snake in part of her pattern, just not the ones local to where her species lives, Mexican coral snakes are the more typical red touches yellow of other north american coral snakes.

@Scales13
@Scales13 Жыл бұрын
Milk snakes are Non venomous my friend. Not to be confused with is counter part the coral snake which is indeed venomous. I would caution anything who see a snake in the wild specially with this bright color pattern to just leave the snake alone and be on the safe side.
