I drive a MT just because its more of an enjoyable ride for me. But I agree not many people realize that these days AT is no joke in these newer rides. Not like back in the day.

07wrxtr1 its not about the performance I know the autos these days are really good and responsive but its about buying a sports car. In my opinion if your going to spend so much money on a SPORTS CAR then why not get it in manual it is much more fun and rewarding and not to mention it's a SPORTS CAR. so that's really what people including me mean when we get annoyed from seeing these things in auto it feels like a waste of car for a resell in the future you look at the ad and think damn thats good then you scroll down and its an auto. i hope that makes sense

I get that, but if it depends on your commute and if it's your only car. For me, it's my only car, and since everyone has the delusions that moving to Portland will solve all their problems, we now have a complete fucking NIGHTMARE of a traffic situation. Freeways and roads have not been upgraded since the 1960's here, yet, the hipsters and others continue to move here, no jobs, but they have bubble equity to use. So basically you're going to sit in stop/go traffic, which is why, after owning a wrx, with a stage two clutch, which had to be replaced once a year because the 5 speed is such a POS, I had enough and went with an AT setup. I don't really care about resell as I plan to keep mine long term. Nissan did setup the gearing really close for 1-2-3... only 4th is a bit longer which you can see in some of the videos on here he loses out to the newer mustangs (not often though!!). There are very few instances where I wish I had a manual, maybe reving to show off, stuff like that, but from a functional standpoint the auto works for me. The other thing is that the line pressure can be tuned for faster shifts in both directions, you just have to upgrade the cooling on the car, which is about $500 + your time to remove the bumper and run the lines. Overall none of the 370's are going to be worth much unless it's the Nismo version which all are over produced to ever make it an investment. And it's a $35k car, your average sedan now is in the $28-$40k range, so it's not an exceptionally expensive vehicle, it simply depends on what's right for you. For me personally the AT allows me to dedicate more attention to pushing the limits, provide faster engine compression braking entering a turn, and it's actually made me enjoy the car more. When I first bought it, trust me, I HATED IT!!! It took me a good 4 months before I figured out what it can/cannot do and why.

I really wanted a yellow 370z because they are really rare, and for what the previous owner had already done to it with the exhaust and the modifications in the paint and the tires and rims, and the mileage, it just seemed right but I miss manual sometimes though. I guess both the auto and manual have their pros and cons

As fun as manual is, you gotta give it to the 7at 370z. It's hella fun for an automatic. Not to mention it is also faster. I will never judge or make fun of someone for an automatic 370z. 350z... thats a different story. Nissan nailed the automatic 370zs. The only ones hating on it, dont even own a car in its prestige or have never driven in one.

listen we live in a world where automatics are better than manuals in every way. it used to be that sport cars needed to be manuals becaise autos were so slush and slow it turned any sports car into a total fucking dud. and most of you aren't old enough to experience that first hand. so the hate on autos is truly outdated. and yes I did own a manual car for years but a good auto manual is leagues better, more efficient and versatile for everyday driving. Better put it this way, if every single racing sport uses some form of an automatic why are we still defending the manual? This phenomenon really exists only I'm the US because we are all about branding rather than a first hand experience.

Can you feather the power in an automatic? No? Didn't think so. Complete control of the car is given with a manual, NEVER an automatic! You want to be a posh spoiled wannabe, have at it. I'll stick with the tried and true. Not directed at anyone in particular, just my .02.

CarShow210 do it! I have a 2017 Nismo manual transmission and I love it, synchro rev match is amazing makes heel toeing obsolete and is better for your clutch, plus driving with 3 pedals and a shifter is much more fun than an automatic, your driving the car the cars not driving you!
