Keep It Tiny - Business of Glamping and Tiny Homes

Күн бұрын

I got to sit down and talk about what it is really like running a glamping business with the owners of Camp Ervay. If you are thinking about starting a glamping business with tiny homes, cabins, tents, yurts, or anything similar this is great advice.
It's not all glits and glam. This is a real business and if you take it serious you can really take off and it has the potential to change your life.
Camp Ervay is an off-grid cabin on a 5-acre site surrounded by 11,000+ acres of forested state land with access to the Finger Lakes Trail. A truly beautiful and unique setup that they custom built themselves!
This clip is one of many. I have been hard at work chatting with successful and knowledgeable people in the space to get their tips, tricks, and insights on how to start a successful business around glamping, tiny homes, domes, tents, and everything in between.

Definitely think that the limitations on water and curtains could be improved. The average 10 minute shower uses about 25 gallons of hot water so for 3 nights for two guests you should have at least 150 gallons dedicated to showers. Drinking water is optional to provide but the average person should be drinking 1 gallon a day so for 3 nights again you would need 5-6 gallons of drinking water. Personally I would hate vacationing with such huge limitations might want to expand or increase those.

You are awesome man, super underrated channel. High quality content that is super useful. I love how honest you are about the process, and you don't glamorize it like many channels do. I am pursuing lots of research to go into the business, and your videos have been really helpful, thank you and keep it up man.

Love the realness about the ROI and to separate the emotions about the business. We are going to leave a little welcome basket and we are going to calculate the cost versus if people leave reviews and appreciate that. That's so funny about working with my husband- we will be opposite- I will be doing the inside cleaning and my husband will be doing the outside. YES- the laundryyyyy. It will be a lot. Great video thank you for sharing!

There are so many little things to keep in mind with these businesses! I know you guys will make it though! I have been watching all your vids from the start and it's cool seeing things come about. It seems like the build process is really picking up for you guys.

Yep! there are a lot of little things to think about when starting a business like this. They aren't all that glamorous or fun to talk about so not a lot of people on KZfaq take the time to break it all down. I hope to really give everyone a peak behind the curtain on whats really going on so they can learn and intern be set up for success when they take the dive and start their own glamping business.

Hello, I just discovered your channel and I really appreciate your content. I don't know if it's already done but you should have products with your logos. After a few minutes of viewing I found that the logo that rotates on the video could be great on your t-shirt and the pink on a tote bag or mug. Best wishes

There really is no way - posting signs help but nothing can truly keep people out or away. Most off grid setups focus all of their security efforts on the main sleeping structure.
