She also said they didn’t know at the time of surgery that it was cancer. They supposedly didn’t know until later that “it had been cancer”. This makes me think she had something removed that then tested positive for cancer. But remember, they straight out denied that she had cancer? They have to have known by then that it was cancer. I guess they just didn’t want to announce it yet - because they needed to prepare the kids first.

It is early stage. It was not picked up by any tests prior to her surgery. Although they suspected it was a cancer. Her deiagnosis was not a surprise to her doctors. Providing the cells they have detected are not secondary from another site. Pthology tests would have identified that if the case. Id guess they are optimistic. Sounds like colon or bowel involvement.

Is difficult to know if any Chemo treatment works, it usually takes 2 treatments monthly for 6 months and retakes tests.

Has cancer touched your life? Have you ever battled it or known a person who has? Have you ever lost a sister or mother or relative? It should be talked about so it shines a light on a diseases that touches every family! Well wishes, prayers, all of it including talking about cancer is a good thing and I thank her for coming forward. I pray she fights the hard fight and kicks its butt and goes on to become Queen. Yes, he can only guess. He thought that was a long time set aside for recovery; but wait--I would think that part of her extended recovery was that she is a royal! I was told not to lift anything heavier than a jug of milk for 10 weeks after my hysterectomy. Of course, I was cautious, but returned to my normal life as much as possible. Wouldn't a royal be catered to in every way after abdominal surgery? After all, we've heard things like Charles always has someone put his toothpaste on his toothbrush for him...obviously she would be treated like a breakable doll after her surgery, I would think.

When I was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, I felt like I was on deaths door. I was white as a ghost and felt like I was in another dimension of fatigue. I can’t even explain it, but if you’ve been there, you know that fatigue is something no one could imagine.

They were unsure about the mass before surgery. Obviously, no biopsy could be done and possibly in an awkward place. They had no option to open her stomach because the mass was in an awkward place. Then they forward to the pathologist. If cancer they can do tests to discover if the cancer type is agressive or not agressive and slow growing.

Our prayers are with you. Good news it is in early stage which is curable. I went thru non-Hodgkin, 5 chemos did it. First day of chemo every three week was noticeable. It was in 1983. I have been fine. Hope you will do great InSha Allah, from pakAm. Our prayers will be with you.

I would like to congratulate you that you were able to survive this! Was it Lymphoma? My Mom was diagnosed in July 1983 with CNS Lymphoma of the brain and she died the following April! She was 54 years old!

It took me a minimum of two weeks to recover from having my stomach operated on. They found cancer in my appendix and opened me up and took 31 biopsies. The recovery time was 6 weeks. I’m assuming Catherine stayed in the hospital to recover and be taken care of properly. She knew there would be no lifting at all and with children at home she stayed in the hospital longer. She’s the Princess of Wales and she can stay as long as she wants. It’s very painful around the girth of the body with all the muscles and organs being sniped and moved around. Plus they had to discuss a plan and how to get her started on chemo. Her defensive attack on her cancer will also wear her out. The physical and emotional strain she’s undertaking will be horrific. God give her strength and courage to fight this battle. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

It would have been obvious when her hair fell out and she lost 50 lbs from chemo. She can help so many people by being an advocate, yet she remains quiet. Do you know how many ovarian cancers never get an early diagnosis? As a public figure who is funded by the UK government, she should say more.

No it was because she was in drugs rehab for addiction and drugs psychosis. She's no princess. Besides it is not true this 'Royalty' attention disorder cancer trip. Again: She is actually rehabbing and recovering from cocaine addiction, and psychosis and suicidal thoughts and irrational and violent behavior etc. Not cancer...! Anyways: "Shock for the world'....??? Go figure! It sad of course. But it is what it is. It is serious enough.

Inaccurate reporting. She told us nothing about at what stage her cancer was found, only that she's in the EARLY stages of chemotherapy, only having started her treatment after time to heal from surgery

I see that they've interviewed a ob gyn on here so is this a gynecological cancer? there's a lot of questions here as the interviewer asked, why did she have surgery in the first place? and having to recover for two weeks or more of recovery, and what stage is this cancer only being told its in the early stages? and what are the chances of all three royals having been diagnosed with cancer, including Charles, Fergie and now Kate? I find that very odd do you?

I spent 2 weeks in hospital after having an emergency ileostomy. It was an emergency surgery with complications. I pray that Catherine & the rest of the RF have only the best.

My condolences to Kate. Listening to this oncologists speak breaks my heart into and tears for her & all ppl who are experiencing this life changing diagnosis & treatments. This MD just made the case scenario & explanation hit really hard. I feel so sorrowful for Kate. I really hope she overcomes this nightmare. OMG!! If you must persist in digging and invading the Princess’ life further, you need at least to be accurate in your reporting! The Princess didn’t mention anything about cancer staging. She said she’s in the early stages of chemo treatment. It’s reporters like you who start speculation and misinformation swirling. I also don’t have any respect for these doctors who participate in these speculative discussions. Leave the Princess and her family alone!

To be fair, she would never receive "standard" treatment because she is a future queen. Her treatment and recovery plan would always be longer than a commoner to err on the side of caution. All the best to the wonderful HRH Princess Catherine of Wales.

I see things this way, although she has the right to privacy she is a public figure , and if she said what type of cancer she had then, wouldn’t it be better for her to be an advocate and raise awareness? Newscasters, and others in the limelight have said about their cancers to raise awareness. It would stop all this speculation. We are all human.
