Equipment trailer seems like the most flexible and best bang for your buck. Easy load/unload, can haul anything including pipe and pallets, reasonable price, and not too heavy. Now i just need to decide between a low floor and a deckover.

Definitely good vid. I know what to look for. When I looked at trailers to haul my tractor, seller didn't go into detail but he sure wanted to make that sale. You provided great tips on what to look for and what options to consider.

I just rented a tilt trailer to haul a scissor lift. Seemed to work out pretty well though I could definitely feel all that behind me in my F-150 V6 Ecoboost. Thanks for the good info.

That scissor lift may have had a little weight to it. People are lying when they say they can't feel a trailer behind their truck. I can tell a difference with a 1,500 load. Thanks for watching!

Subscribed. But my farm tractor, cat 2, is a mid sized. 30" rear tires. My trailer is 77" wide and it can't fit between the wheel wells on my steel deck tandem axle trailer. Need another one.

No single trailer does it all but i had a all steel car trailer with diamond plate floor and side pockets i made removable side boards out of pressure treated lumber for mulch and firewood.Can do a lot more than a landscape trailer for almost the same cost.And no rotten floorboards to ever replace.

Nice videos. I'm thinking about getting a 12-14' low-sided dump trailer to haul around a SCUT and/or a full size UTV on occasion (not daily), plus I think it would come in handy for getting bulk dirt, mulch, gravel, etc... when I need it around the house. It seems like you could even load a pallet or two in the back if needed(?). Other than empty weight, and added cost and maintenance, any other drawbacks to the dump trailer? I noticed the Dump Trailer in your video was set up w/o a Weight Distributing hitch, but I would need one for anything >5k# on my truck. Is a WD hitch common / compatible with a dump trailer? Also, would a 12' trailer be long enough for most SCUTs w/ a loader and backhoe? Or would 14' be better? The UTV is 10' long, and the SCUTs I'm looking at are about the same give or take 10" w/o the attachments, but not sure about with them.

Thanks! There are no drawbacks to a dump trailer other than what you mentioned. I only have one set up snap up brackets for the WD hitch so they get changed from trailer to trailer. I need a another set. Check where the tool box is on the dump trailer and make sure it is not in the way of the where the snap up brackets would go. If it is you may be able to use weld on snap up brackets. You can also get shorter bars or longer for your WDH if the tool box is in the way. I'm the only person that I know of around here that uses a WDH hitch with a dump trailer. I'm like you can only tow 5200lbs without one. There are guys hauling SCUTs in 10' trailers. Most guys with a 10' trailer let the loader hang over which I don't like. 12' the loader still has to be left in the air. They fit real nice in a 14.' You should do a video on weight distributing hitches. I am surprised more people don't use them on dump trailers they make a big difference

Be sure to include how to properly adjust them. I used one for years without knowing, or knowing I could connect the ball then lift with the jack to make the connection easier

Beg to differ on the spare tire holder! I just cut the spare tire holder off my big Tex car hauler and welded on a stake pocket. It was always getting in the way of side loading. Thinking about adding some of those loading supports, lifting my truck up while loading is not getting any more comfortable...

Where do you keep you spare now. There are also several types types of spare tire mounts.Some are welded to the trailer, some go in the stake pockets, and others clamp to the tongue.

Lot’s of good information, but the audio about drove me nuts. Consider using a digital audio recorder instead of the camera’s audio. I just bought a Kubota L2501 and I’m looking for what the best trailer would be for my needs. I’ve considered a dump trailer, but unless you’re making money hauling gravel and such, it’s hard to justify the cost (2-3 times the cost of a utility or equipment trailer).
