He's not a great live vocalist, but his role in the band was definitely critical to it's success.

Burton was a great singer, now his vocal cords are damaged from his singing style as well as having been a smoker. I think it's silly for people to criticize Burton on his voice when you probably have no idea the wear and tear that does on your throat, then go and do that for over 20 years and let's see how your voice would sound doing shows multiple times in the same week. The shit ain't easy

I'm sure I've heard that reissues or remasters are often used to freeze out certain parties from royalties. If that is true and also Dino is now the sole owner of the FF name, then it's possible he is reissuing to gain full control of royalties.

Losing Gene Hoglan was the stupidest thing Dino and Burt did. If anyone could replace or surpass Herrera's mechanical precision, that was the man. I still shed a tear for what could've been.

I agree, those albums are the best and Archetype remains one of my all time favorites. I've really tried to wrap my head around the legal situation involving the band. From what it sounds like, Burton reconciled with Dino and then tried to start a band under the name Fear Factory which obviously you can't legally do when you have two other members, Olde Wolbers and Herrera still technically a part of that band. Since it became a stalemate, Wolbers and Herrera said "Okay fine you can continue the band without us but the only way you can do this is by paying us royalties since you are profiting from songs we've written". Then Burton filed for bankruptcy making it so he didn't have to pay them royalties anymore but they came after him again because he can technically still start Fear Factory up again and continue to make money. That's all I can decipher from everything that happened but it's a shame how much the band was torn apart by drama and stupid shit people weren't willing to reconcile over.

Burton settled into that position because that's all its about for Dino. It's all about him, it's all about his vision, it's all about his success. I mean why do you think he continues on with this Frankenstein of an effigy? His riffs aren't even that great anymore, either. FF died when Burton left. I mean just look at the difference in the character between the two of them. Burton is kind, soft spoken and humble while Dino's a pig (ask female fans that met him), overconfident and arrogant. It's clear to see who is the real issue here, and it's not Burton.

Yeah I dig the new single and wasn’t expecting it so it was a surprise. Fear factory is my favorite band but haven’t listened to the new singer or have any opinions on it. I doubt I will. Very much looking forward to new stuff from Burt

Dino started the band. It was his band. Band broke up and what did he do? Created more music than the other guys combined. Divine Heresy, Assesino, Roadrunner United.

Yes, I agree, first in 2002 he complained about Dino, and quit because he don't like Dino anymore then suddenly in 2009 he's got "Change of Heart". And I understand why Christian and Raymond don't want to be part of this anymore. Than on 2021 Burt again leave because he hates Dino. I've met Dino, speak to him, he was nice to me, maybe he got good Day, but if someone is Jerk and You quit, You don't come back, people change, but not drastically.

He es a better vocalist than burton and can hit the notes live without autotune. He delivers whats on the record without faking or mimicing, so I'm happy and can't wait to see them live.

Archetype is a perfect example of how good Burt C Bell is with out Dino. If Milo was anywhere near as good a writer or front man with out doing covers, we would of heard of him already. Milo is just a worker that Dino can control.

I disagree. While it is his band, it's not the same without the original lineup. They were all equal contributors to what led to their success. I mean what would Dino have without Burton's powerful lyrics - songs about killer robots and whatnot? I mean come on.😄

Sometimes a sole member is the band like in Tony Iommi in Black Sabbath, Dave Mustaine in Megadeth, etc. But in Fear Factory you had a era where Dino wasn't in the band and now refuses to acknowledge that time period.

Dino's not FF. He's an overfed guitarist who has betrayed, conned, and cut the other band members out of the group they all formed together.

The new singer has the voice to do FF justice, if his melodic voice isn't quite there, the lyrics however can't be replaced, and Bell's lyrics made FF.

Had the chance to see them live last month and I can tell you FF is in a far better shape now compared to 2016 when I saw them at Bloodstock. Burton is one of my favorite metal singer but he just can't sing live since 10 years and everybody seems to ignore that fact.
