Criminally underrated series. One that definitely should make a return.

This game was two types of hell: Hell of fun and Hell of stressful at the same time lol. This game really tested your will to keep going after so many failed attempts in a race.

All the Midnight Club Games were great. I moved over to that series after Need For Speed got lame.

Midnight Club 3 was a mandatory, must play game back in the day, like GTA San Andreas levels of must play. People used to argue which game was better MC3 or Underground 2. It was the game that hooked me up to rap and rock music forever, Rockstar always put some bangers in their games and I really appreciate it.

The OG of racing games. The tracks were tricky, unlike the linear tracks of nfs games. Drifting was so satisfying.

What I loved was going to career mode, making cars for myself and my uncle who is mentally challenged, then do split screen free ride with our cars and cruise the ENTIRE MAP! Great memories with my uncle.

Ah, back when Rockstar actually made games.

This game was the genesis of my racing game addiction. As well as my love for cars and car culture as a whole. This is what started it all and made me who I am today.

From the customization, to how rewarding every race was to it being one of the first racing games that you actually had to have a car from each class to do certain events was what made it versatile and great.

Using roar before the finish line, and taking the win was so satisfying. Such a fun racer. Loved LA too

I remember being 12 years old and going with my dad to a game shop, grabbing the game, giving it to the cashier and then she turns to me and says: "Good choice, kid!". It just made my day.

As a San Diegan this game was definitely a favorite. Cool to see a bunch of local landmarks in a game with cool cars.

I loved SUVs and pickups so much as a kid, so being able to trick out an Escalade EXT with a bunch of crazy body kit mods was fun as hell. Definitely among the defining games of my childhood.

Put so much time into this as a kid, me and my friend used to deck out 300C's and Escalades with limo tints, put custom vinyls on the windows and cruise around like we were nightclub owners. Simpler times. At the time, we weren't interested in the physics of the game, it was the customization and open world gameplay that was king. Besides this and Underground 2, I didn't have the same bond with an open world racing game again until Test Drive Unlimited. And at the time, my mum didn't let me upgrade to REMIX because it was just a newer version of the same game - which I am grateful for now because I can revisit and rediscover it!

I love how when you got the game, if you looked through the instruction booklet, it actually broke down and explained the pros and cons of each starter car. Always went with either a Scion TC or the '78 Monte Carlo.

I remember when I played this game for the first time. In a Christmas it was my gift. A ps2 and a combo of GTA San Andreas x Midnight club 3 dub edition remix. Actually the best gift ever in my life and also in my childhood. Thanks for the nostalgia dude. :')

This Game is almost 20 years old and people still talking about it. It’s truly a masterpiece

To me, it was the perfect arcade racer, I've always wanted an arcade racer that was really focused on speed, like, insanely fast and chaotic, and this game was all that and a bit more. The Need For Speed games always felt too slow, I know they probably get faster as you unlock better vehicles, but Midnight Club 3 started really fast, and only got faster from there. Cars got so fast that not only felt like racing, but also keeping this beast under control, it was amazing.

I remember the hours and hours I spent playing this on the psp. If they continued the series and made a new one today I would buy it immediately. I used to use the Chrysler 300c for everything. Miss this game, it’s the reason I’m addicted to the forza horizon series.

I played it on my PSP and... What a game. In my first playthrough (unfinished) I chose the Dodge, but laterer I tried every initial car. The Chevys Montecarlo and Impala became my favourites ones and hated the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Overall I loved two things about this game: 1) If you wanted you could finish the career just buying the initial car thanks to clubs and tournaments (but I had to but the Dodge RAM truck because the Escalade EXT was too slow) 2) Even if you lose the race (2nd, 3rd position) you still received money The only real bad thing I remember from the PSP version was the loadscreens, which could last between 10-20 seconds in worst cases

The main menu music never gets old. You know what I’m talking about.

I remember getting the game as a gift, and knowing nothing about the series. I played it A LOT because of how customisable the vehicles were, and the actual driving aspects felt just right.

I'm 21 right now seeing this game brought tears to my eyes because I remember playing this game when I was smaller with my dad slowing down the time to make that corner and also my favorite driving on two wheels and the good music those were the good old days I wish they would come back 😞😞😞

My first racing game was NFS 2, which I loved a lot. Then Most Wanted, that I liked too but I think a little bit less, although the persecutions were super engaging for me. Then, years later, I played Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition on PSP and boy... that was it. The difficulty was pretty high, and I had to do millions of times the races in order to memorize some tricky shortcuts and curves while also being careful with collisions, and it was fucking awesome. Having that level of freedom on the races was extremely engaging. Specially in those races where you didn't have an order to go through checkpoints so you had to do some tries to design your own route. Damn now I need to play it again, I think it's time to play the remix version I never got to experience PS: I've been playing MC3DE Remix since yesterday and I'm so glad I started it. I was feeling a little bit sad, but after 200+ hundred resets on the first city I'm simply devoid of any emotions now, since life has lost all meaning to me. Losing a race no longer infuriates me, it just sinks me one level deeper into this cold emptiness.

I would play this game and it was amazing, bring this back, let's get a remaster rockstar

Love this game, especially the customizations that DONT effect style points. Style points was the worst part of NFS....

This game had a lot of things going for it, the music, the cities, all feels so well put together. Moving to the cities and meeting those new local mechanics, heading out of the garage for the first time, drafting behind an opponent to boost over the others to win in the last second.. lol, Nostagia.

I still remember my favorite car from the game, 1968 GTO that I painted purple w/blue pearlescent. This was the first game I remember playing that let you come up with beautiful paint combinations by letting you choose the pearl color. Also was the first game I played that let you adjust the wheel and tire size.

Absolutely my favorite racing series’s I’ve ever picked up. Midnight club 3 was the first and got me into racing games now. I put so many hours into this game as a kid, the soundtrack was amazing, and the local multiplayer was a good way to play with your friends and family.

Man, this brings back a shit ton of memories, I remember the struggle to get to that "BY INVITATION ONLY" had to cell lotta cars so I can buy a one that can win me the race, but the best part is that I unplug the memory card from the PS2 before selling the cars so I can repeat the process and figure out what is the best car worth having.

Once they remaster this game i will be a happy gamer. None of todays racing games come close to the customization or pure fun this game brought to the table 💯

One of the best features was being able to changes the size in tyres and wheels which was unheard of before this game, making tyres small and wheels big and finding the balance was really really beautiful!

Just started playing this game again after so many years, such a great game. Rockstar did a phenomenal job, made me really appreciate the games we had growing up. The models of cars, types of races, customization etc.

I loved this game the customization was awesome and simple, and the racing was fun mainly multiplayer. I still remember playing split screen with my neighbor all day long racing and just roaming the city for cool jump spots. Racing with the power ups on was incredibly fun using things like pulse, the control flip, the bubble lol man so many good things in this game. I hope it follows the current trend of remakes and remasters tho I understand all the copyright issues that will never let it happen 😭

This is literally the only one racing game that give u a competition. Every race is struggle, that traffic was so much, city has pretty good locations, so many shortcuts, no dumb barriers that indicates where to go which means u can choose ur own way. Game doesn’t make u super faster than others like nfs and other games, those bots are crazy fast and tough. Old but gold, smh they used to know how to do a racing game tho

Goooood times. I remember playing this when I was mid-highschool, real high on the hormones as I am hitting puberty. I remember my little brother and I taking turns racing these games, eventually finishing almost all the citoes, and I recall spending most of my Christmas break finishing off Tokyo Challenge. The soundtrack is powerfully nostalgic as it was the hayday of rap, punk rock, and I even got into the techno genre because of this game! And since I was starting to cope with my edgelord phase, I remember just customizing the cars to give it all a black colored matte/pearlescent hue with blue glowlights or decals and even giving them names. My favorite was the Lamborghini Gallardo, named Black Mamba, and the White Rider, a Class A motorcycle. Both I just loved using. I miss the blurring of the screen due to the speed, the soundtrack, and those events where you could win AN ACTUAL CAR. I'm now nearing my 30's, and the memories just came gushing back. The times where I didn't care about life, and skimping classes, and just wanting a taste of that speed offered by Midnight Club. Now I'm an adult handling a team and worrying about bills. Thanks for reminding me I'm old.

Played this hours!!!! never finished it, i was a small kid :D What i remember, is that it was great to have a choice to go where you want in the races. The races with just 2 or 3 chackpoints.... on the other side of the city..... made me rage, but i loved it. Then the random chackpoints that did not show you were to go.... MAN!!!!! that was tough. But it made me focus and lurn the raceses. I felt like a real street racer, in real life there where no barriers when you would do a street race. I realy love this game! I wish whey would do a remaster

I used to LOVE playing this game as a kid. Especially the music was so damn good and brings up nostalgia every time. So sad to see that there won't be another game... yet?

What I like about the game is how far apart the checkpoint is. It allows you to take what ever route you feel like compared to games like need for speed where a set course is predetermined and are not allowed to deviate from it. It also adds challenge to each race as sometimes an optimal route is flooded with traffic making you think if the longer but cleaner route would be better for your time.

Winning a new car and hearing an instrumental version of Shine On and getting a call from Baby was a highlight for me when I was a kid.

Man I loved the Midnight Club games. They are the ones that really got me into cars and racing. Growing up with 3 then getting MC L.A. with friends was amazing. I still emulate 3 now and then :P

This game is the source of my Lotus Elise obsession. I wish dub edition remix would get a remaster. I still have the working game and console but I want my online friends to share the experience with me

I was never crazy about racing games. Until i played midnight club 2! Open world racing game with street racers you engage actively by flashing your lights at them. Los Angeles, Paris, and Tokyo. This game spoiled me. I could never be happy with a typical track racing game again. Id love to hear what you guys think of MC2!

I can not tell you guys about these insane memories and nostalgia im feeling right now. Remember these young days, running home after school to play this game with the boys on PS2. Next morning we allready been talking about the game amd cars and bikes and what races we did. During the school breaks we would pick our bicyles and race like the bikes in Midnight Club… man some of these songs bring back the memories so strong im nearly crying… incredible times only now we value… 🥹

One of the racing games I put countless hours into back when I was a teen on my PS2.

I remember back in the day when I didn't have a memory card, I got really good at beating the game in a day or two. Turn the PS2 on, play the game over the weekend, beat it, go back to school. When I finally got a memory card, all I cared about doing was having a full 30 car garage and 100% completion. I got that over the course of a school week and instead of playing Midnight Club on the weekend I rode bikes with friends and went to the community pool. Good times. I later spent a lot of time in the race editor making drift maps and trick maps and spent some time picking my _favorite_ cars, modding them up, and drifting and stunting with them, as opposed to just having the fastest in every class with the highest upgrades like I did for my speed runs. To this day, Midnight Club 3 DUB edition Remix is the only game I ever have or even CAN speedrun. I'm considering getting an emulator for a nostalgia trip. 250 likes by next week and I'll stream it. (no facecam tho)

This might be my favourite racing game of all time. I most definitely invested the most time into this game and remember always having 29 cars instead of 30, so I had an open slot to test drive cars😂. Phenomenal game and equally great memories🤩

The amount of time I spent on this game was insane, it was all me and my friends would talk about in primary school. When I got that Murcielago my life was complete.

Midnight Clubs: L.A. Edition will be my favorite, me and my older sister always enjoyed it, it was fun and awesome, races were challenging, but not too hard, that it became frustrating. I never any of the other Midnight Club games, but from this video, I know they were awesome too.

Im not sure if anyone else feels like this, but the mechanics voices in each city are so comforting and nostalgic. I really loved those guys by the end of the game. And its not like they had hella screen time. Just great dialoge and the 1st person camera.

Loved Midnight Club. Rented the first and finished it. Then bought 2 and eventually Dub edition when it came out. I miss these games and the old Need For Speed games. Found this video because I search Midnight Club every so often in hopes of another one on the way. Thank you for the nostalgia.

The midnight club series was one of the most defining times in my life. Alongside Enter the Matrix 🤯 shit blew my mind racing, especially in MC2. My sister and I would play split screen and push every car into the LA duct areas until there were no cars around 😂😂

I find Midnight Club 2 to be criminally underrated. The level design was brilliant and the character cutscenes were quirky and hilarious. It was such a clean and concise package when it came together. Most will regard Midnight Club 3 as the best in the series, but I feel it layered on the early 2000s car culture a bit too thick and took itself too seriously.

Its really a good nostalgic moment when i play that game, you really need to play like a sweat to beat the hardest race on this game lmao

I've played Midnight Club 2 in my childhood and I vividly remember that I absolutely loved the game, for the past couple of months I've been torn in deciding whether I should pick Midnight Club 3 Los Angeles up or not even tho I watched a lot of gameplay videos to help me decide which they mostly do but because this time there is something in its gameplay and car handling that idk its just different in a not so good way but also not horrible, I've always been interested to know what was the difference between Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition and Los Angeles and honestly I have to say that if I was in a situation that I could and had the opportunity to buy and play Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition on my Xbox One I would've done it in a instant because in my eyes this is much more closer to the Midnight Club that I knew and loved in my childhood (Midnight Club 2) as oppose to Midnight Club Los Angeles... probably pick Midnight Club Los Angeles up in the next few days but I'm very much expecting to request for a refund but we'll see... thanks for the great video!

This game was the jam in Brazil, it was Halo level talks back in the day (As Halo wasn't much advertized here, Midnight club 3 was in everyone's mouth's down here, Everyone got it, it was peak childhood as I was 10 at the time it came out, and I still go back to it occasionally

I played and LOVE dub edition remix, I still think the cosmetic customization is still up in the ranks of great and varied options. I played it a year or so ago and just messing around and making cars never gets old!

That was the first racing game I spent a ton of time playing online and it was a blast!

As somebody who historically didn't even like racing games, and hasn't really gotten into any since, until Forza Horizon 4, This game was KILLER. It was the only racing game I'd actually gotten into, and I got into it HARD. I wish Rockstar would bring this series back and see what they could do with modern technology.

I also loved the Open Ended races we need more games with the flair checkpoint system I like that a lot more than wall to wall.

I can’t believe I had this game, never knowing what dub was. Had this on Xbox when I was a kid, and I always thought the graphics on this looked great. I can’t remember where I played LA remix, but I remember that was my favourite. I kinda hope they reboot this series, but at the same time, don’t want them to ruin the memories

When you think about it, all 3 of the character abilities in GTA V was taken from previous Rockstar games. Slowing down time while driving is from this game, Trevor's rage mode is from The Warriors game, and Michael's slow motion shooting is from Max Payne.
