He said his ex was “mean and crazy” but he never went into detail. I found this weird because descriptions like that are often followed by a wtf story. Having gotten to know him, I now see that “mean and crazy” is code for “expected me to have a job, wasn’t my own personal waitress, and didn’t like to be told she was stupid.” Sometimes it’s not the crazy ex you have to worry about it’s the person who says their ex was crazy.

I have a guy friend that I've known since we were 12. He very quickly got married to a girl that we went to high school with because she got pregnant. He thought he was doing the right thing. He stopped talking to pretty much all of our friends. When I texted him to try and see how he was doing, he told me that he would have to delete our texts because his wife would freak out if she saw them when she went through his phone. They had a baby shower and she would not talk any of his friends and once the gifts were opened, she disappeared. He was a groomsman in my brother's wedding and after only two hours, his wife called demanding him to come home. If I run into him in public with his wife, he completely ignores me, but if he's alone, he makes a point to say hi and catch up a little. Every time I see him, he's just a little more worn down and weary.

In my state in the United States, one can look up court documents online. I do that with many people. It doesn't cost anything and you just need a first and last name, middle initial if you have one. You don't get the details of each case just header information but that informs you of much. I had a friend that met a guy she was completely smitten for. I can't say I was suspicious of him, just protective of her. I looked him up, turns out he had half a dozen court cases of attacking women, that spanned the last three years. He and she were both early twenties. I let her know and she got angry at me but later she looked up the information herself and then broke it off with him. She thanked me for having her back.

A couple of weeks ago, I attended my friend's birthday party and had the chance to meet his friends and fiancée for the first time. Throughout the evening, I noticed his fiancée consistently making eye contact with me, creating moments of awkwardness. Despite the lingering gaze, we never engaged in conversation. To maintain respect for my friend and his relationship, I chose to distance myself from the group and occupied my time to avoid any further discomfort. I haven't shared this with my friend, and they continue to be happily together.

We're a huggy family, wife is ex-mormon and her mormon son married a "good, mormon girl". Hugs all around when we left but picked up a prickly vibe so didn't hug his wife until my wife insisted so there was the briefest, minimal-contact hug after which I later heard that she thought I was too affectionate. I reminded my wife of the one and only time I'd ever shown anything close and asked never to be left alone with her. They went on to have 6 kids, all of which got emancipated at 16.

Just an unprofessional opinion here, but from what I've done extensive research on, this can be common in narcissistic abusive relationships in what is called the 'honeymoon' phase of the relationship. This is when the SO is super sweet, caring, and attentive. Almost, if not overly so. These relationships tend to progress quickly, with the SO jumping head first into everything, seemingly without much contemplation or delay, like suggesting they move in together or getting engaged shortly after they've started dating. Again, this is only my unprofessional advice, so I would suggest you look up narcisstic/covert narcissistic abusive relationships, specifically the honeymoon phase for yourself, to see if it lines up with you're observing.

WOW. The title is "When did you realise there was 'something off' about your friend's significant other?" and then the first story leaps straight in with: "So my friend's husband is an absolute MONSTER..." I was thinking, "something off" was gonna be, little dating red-flags like they're mean to the waiters, etc. Not MOCKING her during LABOR, then also freaking HITTING HER WITH A CAR and not even letting her buy groceries! I don't even know these people, and I am very, very angry that this woman has borne at least two of THAT guy's kids.

Lets get one thing very clear 'makes me sad to see people give up who they are for a relationship'. A) this is nót a relationship, its 2 lives connected though overpowering and control. B) in other, less 'abusive' situations, sure people still give up who they are for the relationship all too often. But you find real happiness if you find space in your relationship to be yourself (if youve actually entered the relationship as someone who knows who they are and how they feel about that'.

I had a long-distance friend whose bf once called me (on HER phone!) and demanded I stop being friends with her because of all kinds of BS that was his way of telling me he was a jealous prick who couldn't control himself (and needed to control her friendships.) Now normally I respect and support my friends' relationships, but after that, fuck it; I told her he was crap and she should ditch him.

My former brother-in-law was a bit of an idiot in certain ways. I called him and my sister "the kids" even though he was my age. Nobody wanted to listen to me because I'm ace and didn't seem to understand relationships. I'm asexual yes but not aromantic and I know how good relationships work. When I found out they were getting intimate while still dating, I said "Okay, but if you hurt her, I will kill you!" We found out after they were married that he was having an affair with my sister's friend from high school. The only reason that guy is still alive is because I didn't want to traumatize his kids. I was extremely weary over my sister's relationships after that and I was taken more seriously. She did meet another guy who I did like as a friend. He's my new brother-in-law!

He was abusive and way too old for her. And in love with another woman..Then he hit on her sister. Actually he tried to rape her. When she wouldn't let him. Injured him, He ran her off. She found out decades later and almost stabbed him during Easter dinner and divorced him and started her own business. To make amends He sent for her sister and her two children from Africa. Oh she also learned that her two children were not from an incestuous rape because he was her stepfather and not her real father. It could make for a hell of a movie 😂😂😂

34F here years ago I met someone at a bar in town and hung out with them. They seemed cool and normal and we had some good times. I wasn’t gonna take it any where cause like I met him at a bar. Anyways months after not seeing him he starts msging me to hang out and I didn’t want to so I’d just say I was busy or not home or didn’t want to at the moment. If I didn’t answer he would just keep msging and one night noticed a horn honking in the parking lot to my apt every time I got a msg I heard the horn so I peaked into the parking lot carefully and saw his car there!! He was already at my apt before even getting an answer from me. This happened multiple times and I just stopped answering all together and it stopped.

So a guy is having an argument with his wife, he tries to leave and she jumps in front of the car, and somehow she's the victim of abuse. Let's go ahead and rethink that. I don't blame the guy for him not wanting her to go to the police because they're immediately going to paint him as the bad guy they're always going to take the female side so he doesn't want to go to jail for something that he didn't cause no. Everything else that you said after that warrants no believability and you have no credibility the moment that you say she's a victim in that scenario

Am I the only one who just ends the video at the self insert mid roll ad? I've seen KZfaqrs tell you to subscribe, I've seen KZfaqrs occasionally advertise their own stuff. I have never seen a KZfaq do both every single video, let alone at the midpoint. Really shows how scummy this dude is, especially considering his content is just ripping stuff off Reddit and reading it.
