I just ordered a set of fabspeed headers with 200cpsi HJS sport cats for my 718 cayman gts 4.0! I was finding a way to improve the exhaust sound without taking illegal measures (such as OPF/resonator delete, etc) in my country. So happy to make use of your quality products!

@@dfls5069 If all else is the same, the 200 cell would have less smell than the 100 cell. That's because the 200 cell has more surface area and thus is cleaning the exhaust gases more.

I've got 200 cell on downpipe but will go with 100 cell on 2nd cat will that make car louder or add more hp

Hello sir. I change my 4-1 exhaust manifold to a new 4-2-1 and the stock catalytic converter with a 200cel one. All these are handmade and I have no check engine problems. Fuel consumption is better and the car seems to be a bit faster. My only concern is that it smells more. Some people told me that it's normal and it need some working time to perform 100%. It's the fifth day today. What is your opinion?

You are probably smelling all the gases that are getting burned off the catalytic converter. This is normal for any new exhaust that has a catalytic converter or mufflers/resonators that are packed with insulation.

If i use 200cel sport downpipe... 1)avoid waranty car or not? 2)it's smell bad or not? 3)no engine check light or not? 4)can burn my engine or not?

If you purchase one of our Sport Cat products 1. It will not void your warranty in the united states 2. it will not smell bad 3. No check engine light guaranteed 4. not totally sure what you mean but all of our sport cats are safe to run on the car with the stock tune

@@FabspeedMotorsport Hi. Im driving honda civic eg k24 vtec with 4-1 header 3inch. But car is too loud. Which cat is better to buy to have less loud. I really need help from you because car is daily drive and i need to have car not louder. Thanks.

@@besar.jonuzi Basically, more restriction in the exhaust equals a quieter exhaust. A cat will reduce noise regardless, but a higher cell count and/or a smaller diameter cat will flow less and also quiet your exhaust. I personally run a 200-cell 4in diameter HJS cat on my K24 swapped car and am only down 3-5hp from a straight pipe.

@@leonl4752 trust me the oem only last like 150,000 miles but is to late last time I never change my car at my new Camry at 70 k my car was stalling crazy I may change it after 50 k miles oem and hi flow

They are legal in all non-CARB states.

Yes, more cells means it's more restrictive.

Seems to be that stock uses more cells but less precious metals, so it's cheaper for manufacturer, but high flow cats have less cells but more precious metals which is more expensive for you but you get more exhaust flow

Hi, just want to confirm... So a 200 cell is still more restrictive and a catless pipe right? Like catlesss is the best if you want to go higher performance and its louder?

Typically yes, but if you sized the cat large enough theoretically it could flow just as well as a "straight pipe"

No, they have different chemical properties and thus do different things. that's why most new cars have both catalytic converters and DPF/GPF filters.

@@FabspeedMotorsport hey sorry to bother you again but we’re building a OM613 and it still has a Catalyc converter it’s a diesel Btw ! Can we put a 100 cel CC to reduce the emissions ?

@@miguel2946 Yes a regular catalytic converter will help reduce emissions significantly and be much better than nothing, but a diesel-specific cat with DPF will work better of course.

Hello. Could you please give some information on the GESI 50225 Catalytic converter, it’s a 400 CPSI - is it a good thing ? Or less CPSI is better?

We do not carry GESI so we can't speak directly about their product, however, a 400 CPSI cat will flow less than a 200 CPSI cat of the same diameter

cpsi has low relevance without a diameter or surface area and without length of the core(s). Also you need to know the cell wall thickness because you could have low number or cells with thick walls, that’s the worst combination. I mean that’s common sense, there are even more that affect the flow, I’m sure

Depends on the make/model, and if the car in question is naturally aspirated or forced induction.
