What makes an ex come back to you? What motivates someone to come back to you?
It's an often asked question and it's important to know what motivates your ex to come back to you in order for that to happen.
As Coach Lee explains in this video, coming back to you after they have broken up with you is something that an ex will do only if they want to.

What you feel or want is not important to them - especially at this moment.
After a breakup, your ex is in relief that they got such a difficult, unpleasant thing over with (breaking up with you).
It's difficult for them to be motivated to go backwards unless they feel renewed attraction for you.
As Coach Lee explains, such a resurgence of attraction comes when you give them the breakup, back away, don't contact them, and act as though you are the prize instead of being the seeker.
If your ex feels that you are seeking them, then they feel that they are the prize.
Because of that, your ex will feel that you are beneath them and will not be attracted to you in large enough level that they would want to come back to you.
In order for your ex to want to come back to you, he or she must feel that you are the prize and that they are seeking you.
In an ideal world, the two of you would be seeking each other equally, but especially after a breakup when you are wanting your ex back, you must be the one who is being sought after.
You must be the prize, at least in the majority, and your ex must turn into the seeker.
Coach Lee explains how to develop this dynamic to get your ex to want to come back to you (and be motivated) after they have dumped you.
It is important that your ex comes back for the right reasons or else you will have a less likely chance of keeping them.
If you talk your ex into coming back or make them feel guilty so that they "come back," it is likely a short lived thing and will result in your ex leaving you again.
This is because wanting to come back has to come from within your ex. While you can certainly influence this by doing the right things after a breakup (like no contact), the desire to come back must originate within your ex in the form of a reignited level of attraction to you if it is to work.

That's exactly why I wanna contact my ex. Just to let her know all the mistakes SHE MADE! I blamed myself when her and I talked last and this is eating me up but I'm getting better. She thinks she's so self aware but she's not, she turned out to be more selfish than I initially thought. She did take some blame and said that she's not pointing the finger at me.

Something well to tell you the cold hard truth, it doesn’t matter what he thinks anymore. He did his damage to you, and burnt his trust with you. I was in a similar situation, I fell in love with the perfect girl and she told me she loved me and broke up with me within the same couple of weeks. The best thing I learned was I didn’t care what she told me, or what she thought of me and I’m doing my best to move on. There’s always better guys out there and I can promise that.

The process of understanding how to get your ex back does not need to be complicated. Usually people can figure out how to do this without creating a lot of stress for themselves. My ex told me he needed a break and after the break the few weeks past and he was on and off hot and cold, after our last conversation I started the no contact rule and ten days prior to my no contact I hear he was in a car accident and I just send a text to ask if he was okay and he told me what happened and told me thank you for looking out I appreciate it and nothing from there, was it wrong from my end cause I feel like an idiot for even texting him, plus I still have his apartment keys which he never ask for or pick up? I need to understand what's happening here.

Just don't even bother playing the game. Be aware that their are games out there so that you can tell when someone's playing them, and then walk away as soon as you detect them. Healthy relationships are not created out of these games.

To either find yourself again and realize YOUR value or just get over the ex in general and them coming back is just a consolation prize, a bridge that you can decide to cross when you get there.

Hey Coach Lee and others, This is just to inform you that no contact rule works. I got my ex back. "What you think is what you get". So be positive, radiate positive vibes. Coach Lee's video has really helped me a lot. I just followed the rule for a day. However it changes from person to another. But it will definitely happen. Breakup is the most painful thing. U feel like the heart is being ripped apart. U think U won't make it to the next day. However it gets better with time. Stay strong actually don't want them back they will come to ruin your new self and leave again.

I think people come back mostly because they feel lonely or sad and want an ego boost. Most of exes do not come back to have a relationship again with you, but because they are looking for validation and to boost their self esteem thinking that you are going to beg and plead again.

I made my ex feel exactly how you said, trapped, I would get angry when they didn’t spend time with me and would ignore him because of this. And I feel so dumb, because while in the relationship I didn’t see it. I just wanted to be “sufficient” and everything he needed, without realizing we needed distance, and freedom. I hate myself for that. I don’t think he will come back, and now I realize all of this. We had an amazing two and a half years worth of love, and I started acting insecure for about 6 months. That’s all it took for him to get tired and break up with me. So devastated. 😔

This is exactly what I did over the last 3 yrs to my husband but I didn't realize it until just now as I watched this video and I hate myself for it too because after 20 yrs of marriage I found out he'd been cheating on me and lying straight to my face for almost 2 months and as I cried and begged him to come back home with me or to at least make her leave because she and her two kids, 2 dogs, cat and hamster had moved in with our 28 yr old daughter because they'd just met one week before where they both worked and she and her kids were homeless after leaving her kids' dad so my daughter moved them into her apartment where her dad (my husband) was living while on house arrest after Just getting out of jail... so he chose our daughters 32 yr old "best friend" that they'd both just met over me his wife and mother of his 3 children. And all 3 of our kids knew that he had moved her into his bedroom with him and that he was lying to me about it for 2 months but neither of them said anything to me about it and they even took his side about all of it. So now she basically took my place in my own marriage and family while I'm left to fend for myself by myself after being a stay at home mom for the last 20 yrs and he's paying for his and her share of the $900/month rent, utilities, food for her, her kids and her 4 pets. So yeah I fucking hate myself and I wish I'd never even met him because it hurts soooooo fucking much worse to lose the man of my dreams when I know that I had everything I'd ever wanted, needed and more and I'll never get it back because my daughter put her friend in the small apt with my husband who can only leave to go to work and then get straight home each day and she intentionally put herself in between my marriage and refuses to leave so I didn't and don't even have any kind of a chance to try to fix things between us.

I broke no contact after 2 months and just came to know that she been dating another dude right after the breakup and that hurts so I'm on a permanent no contact forever! I'm done. Hope you all get your loved ones back🙏 *Update* She contacted me after and kept checking on me every months once while i was on no contact, after i had moven on and didn't find a problem i normalised with her and she kept talking and came closer ..... Then this months she said she wants to be just friends until we meet,she wants us to mot get close bc it will hurt one or the other ...so i decided not to talk to her and go for a no contact till I'm over her completely. Ik i made a mistake but i really care for her and she actually needed some emotional support so i never left ...i hope she be doing good. Idk what's in fate! But no contact definitely works!!!!

I’ve done years of studying psychology and I am beyond amazed by coach Lee. I hope that his viewers truly appreciate the knowledge Lee is providing in his videos. Even though I’ve studied for a long time, I assure you that I have made the very basic mistakes that I could have avoided, and that’s why I admire Lee’s reminder. My girl and I never really argued or anything... she became cold and distant after being constantly brainwashed by her horrible “friend “ that somehow somewhere I would end up being a horrible person DESPITE THE FACT THAT I TREATED HER LIKE MY QUEEN. It hurts... then I finally decided to apply the no contact... haven’t spoken to her for about a 7 days... and that’s something that we never stop talking for more than 2 days. It’s crazy and I don’t expect everyone to understand our situation.... she started to show interest in me and eventually I let her in my heart... until the jealous friend of hers started to affect my girl’s mind and attitude towards me... we were fine, we didn’t even fight or anything... I miss her, but I know that I have to continue the no contact and regain my pride.

Haha, going through the same process, because of different religions and cultures, hey friends kept talking shit to her and we didn't fight or anything, i tried taking to her and get an explanation but she seemed confused and didn't want to bother to explain so i just kept it normal in our last meeting and walked out and didn't contact her since then, she views my Instagram stories and i have been doing lots of things lately luckily for me, it's been 8 days now i heard from her after 2 days of the no contact she texted me about a video i posted and i give her a short reply, and since that day we both didn't contact each other, it was all good between us she is sometimes caring and sometimes won't bother to do extra but her friends kept at it, i met her mom and brother and they liked me alot i did want to engage to her after 6 months of knowing each other, anyways we are on the same situation haha just thought it was funny

As I have wrote it before: Coach Lee is perhaps a blessing for people who have opportunity to listen to him. Not all cases are exactly the same. The “No Contact “ that coach Lee talks about is something that the person whom has been broken up with HAS TO APPLY IN ORDER TO SHOW SELF RESPECT SELF CONFIDENCE PRIDE After a certain amount of time, perhaps the “dumpee “ might have to re-reach out because the “dumper” might not have the courage to reach back out. I might have known certain aspects of how to behave, but listening to coach Lee: reassuring me that I am doing the right thing was PRINCESS. Thank you Lee. Everything I’ve heard in your videos is exactly the things she’s said to me while I was begging and pleading, for weeks I did this. But, I didn’t listen, I was trying to control the outcome and over analyzing and looking for the good and running with it. Thinking I was making progress when clearly she said “I would tell you”. It was me being selfish and letting my ego control it. She’s been in a rebound since about a week or two after our break up and today I have finally decided to start the no contact rule. And it is so hard. I’m gonna try it though because I feel like I’ve done everything else to no avail. I appreciate your videos and I’ll keep faking it till I make it. I hope it works because i do love her. But I need to learn acceptance and other things. We had a good relationship and it was only the last three months things went sour. And the break up for weeks was bad. I hope I haven’t lost my chance.

Again, Coach Lee. A life saver.. we have "broken up" a couple times. I lean heavily on him and have learned a lot from the Emergency Break Up Kit. I believe I have become more secure because of Coach Lee and have been able to handle myself better. Even after watching these videos after getting back together, they're STILL valuable lessons in learning about my relationship with the love of my life.

@@RealCoachLee I will when I'm at a computer and can better focus. Our relationship is still a work in progress but seems to build and get stronger with even more emotional connection after over coming these painful bumps, though they become less painful when you put things in to the perspective that you provide. Certain things in your Emergency Breakup Kit are very key I've found.... as you've taught me. Probably the biggest thing you provided for me is confidence. Thank you for being there.

I was with my ex for eight years. Most of our relationship was great, but then for maybe the past two years I became very insecure and did everything he described in this video. I don’t know why I started acting that way. But my ex has said many times I was smothering her and making her feel trapped and I was trying to control her. Now we broke up 4 weeks ago because she jumped straight into a rebound relationship. I’m doing EVERYTHING I can to change my bad behavior and become an even better version of the person I was when we first met. I hope it works to help get her back.

Same here my last relationship lasted 5 years the first 3years where awesome but the last 2 something changed in me i was very jealous and also neclected her and our sexuality were gone the last 16 months.. I guess there no hope for me getting her back she changed a whole lot when i see her i almost dont recognize her. She broke up 2 weeks ago

@Elaine nicholson well there no other option for me i still think of her on a daily basis sometimes more sometimes less. When i first met her she was the cute gaming anime girl kinda shy and wont really go out partying much now she changed to the complete oposite she looks totally mainstream by now goes out partying all the time and so on. For me im 25 i reconnect with old friends started with new hobbies (kickboxing, downhill moutain biking and learning to play guitar) Feeling somewhat decent few psychlogical problems though when it comes to dating new girls cause theres interest in me but they are not interesting for me i somehow always compare them to my ex when i first met her. But maybe i just need a little more time

Glad you talked about long distance relationships. I think it's one of the main reason my last relationship fell apart. We had plans to meet for the first time, but this Corona thing caused her so much stress and depression to the point she ended us.

Videos I have listened to on KZfaq this particular one makes the most sense. I have been pining over my ex for 7 months. 17 year relationship 9 years being married she left one day. I understand the attraction level is extremely high on my part and was on hers for years. I know there is nothing I can do and if anything's going to happen it will have to be from her. Thank you for all that you do for us though it's heartbreaking I totally understand now.

I have been watching your videos all day. I met a girl around 2 weeks ago, everything went very fast, I recently became 18 and she is almost 16. She is my first and as silly as it might sounds I fell in love with her, so I drived 8 hours to meet her and I did, after I told her I love her and that she loved me. So we met and I hired a hotel room and spent the best days of my life with her, it was so real and I felt undescribebly connected to her. Before I drove on my way back, she kissed me, hugged me and everything was just perfect until the curse occured, she blocked me on everything and My heart was shattered to peaces. I made a new accounted and asked why and I want to die and all that sad stuff ( I digged a very deep hole). She told me all that it's me not you whore shit and she still has feeling for her ex and I should move on but I do love her for real. I am broken and I don't know what to do. I stopped sending her messages but do you think there is any slight chance of her coming back to me? I am sorry for this long story but I am just lost, sad and having suicidal thought, please help, I trust you.

I have watched so many of these videos, not to get my ex back but to comfort my own mind about how I was never really the issue in my relationship. Just your words about how WE are the prize, motivates me to move on. My ex has been clubbing, going out constantly (because our friends of friends tell me without me even asking) and I just know she will eventually hurt the way I did when she broke us up. So I’ve been following your videos for about 2 weeks now. I’ve struggled with my mental health, and my ex came home and packed up all his stuff while I was at work and broke up with me when I got home. The best relationship of my life he just lacked communication, and felt I wasn’t putting in as much effort, which was true due to my depression. We broke up about a month ago and I could not do no contact but I did back off and tried responding only when he did. At one point I asked him how he was doing and he stated he was having a hard time and didn’t want to talk about it. I asked again the next day if he was doing any better and he said a little bit but I’m still going through it. This was late at night let me remind you. I jumped out of bed and went to the store and got him all of his favorite snacks as a care package and brought it to him. Since then he’s been talking with me constantly and we have a date on Friday. Figuring out what the problem was and working really hard on myself (going to therapy and back on my medications after the breakup) I think is proving to him that I’m putting in effort. My ex said multiple times, 'what if my parents don't like you' I learned during the relationship that his mother and ex wife had an argument, he took his wife's side, and his parents went totally silent and no contact with him or 3 years! Used no contact, after about a month texted her to get my stuff back when she poured her feelings out to me. 2 days later we were making out in a parking lot. Still talking and figuring things out, she’s scared she might feel the same way as she did when she wanted to break up- in a few months. But just playing everything cool, thank you for your help

Information is value nutral once you get it you decide if its worthy of any implementation in your life or to just disregard it. But if you never hear it then what? It doesnt matter who tells it to you it only matters if your awareness is at its peak and you truly know how to use your intuition and heart and trust in it. You dont know what you dont know so how can you ever really perceive new unknown information as true or false if its new? Listening to this, it sounds like I did everything right DURING the relationship, but she still left me. I gave her complete freedom to do and hang out with whomever she wanted and never expressed jealousy or clinginess, definitely didn't make her feel trapped. And I never invested more than her, in fact one of the reason she gave me for the breakup was that she felt like I didn't invest enough and she felt like she always fought hard for me but I didn't fight for her. Maybe I just overdid it on accident.

For all the people counting the days or even worse, MONTHS of NC, you arent ready to be in a relationship with anyone. Learn how to live happily by yourself. Spend time with friends and family. Get sexy for your own self confidence. Dont live your best life just in hopes that your ex will see you doing well and be attracted to you again. You need to want to be the best version of yourself FOR YOURSELF, not a girl or guy who decided to give up on you. Whats crazy is if people made lifestyle changes like they do during breakups DURING the relationship, things probably would have worked out. Its like people feel their self improvement is only worth it when there is something to lose and its sad to see. Not saying Im not guilty of doing the same, but it makes you wonder why we live this way.

My ex did everything under the sun to make me feel insecure and jealous - lies, cheating, "disappearances". I was very reactive , needy, desperate. Admit these are my tendencies, but I was never like this in previous relationships... It sucks that I lost control of myself. With all of these things, I still miss him terribly.
