I was just thinking about the 90 min a week of talking and 90 min a week of intimate contact. If you break that down it’s 30 minutes a day 6 days a week! So many couples claim they don’t have time for one or the other or either but yes you do! My hubs and I have absolutely insane schedules but God is our priority, each other is second, then our kids. Something my hubs and I often bring up is when we were first married, we both worked full time and went to school full time. I had a coworker that thought it was strange that my hubs and I would call each other on our breaks just literally to say “hi! Love you! Bye!” But to this day, we fondly remember that through the chaos we staid as connected as we could. (I left for work at 7 am, had 30 min lunch break to do homework, left work and went straight to school, left school and went straight home and would get home around 11 pm and do it all the next day.)

I love Jordan Peterson. He's an amazing man. I believe he's one of the greatest minds of our generation, of our time. I Identify with him so much And I believe most people do and that's part of his charisma. His flaws are obvious to me because I believe I had or have some of the same flaws. His weakness is women. It's the only answer I have for why he would have a daughter that dresses the way she does so provocatively and without a certain amount of class. It's like he could never say no to Daddy's little girl. Which I don't blame him for. It's hard to say no to your children. You want to spoil them and make them happy and smile. You never want to see them sad or upset.

I am asian, and all it takes a relationship going is loyalty. Sex does it only for few years. After that it is the family and loyalty to the little nest they built.

I've been married to the same man for 34 years. It's the joint story, sharing time. No one else knows me. Not even our kids. 😊

All of that. But there is something else. Its not said often. When my husband was dying of cancer, I cared for him, cleaned him, cleaned up after him. He could stay at home and not be in a isolating and lonely hospital. I was with him when he died. He was not alone. It was an honor, after a lifetime of marriage, to do that for him. I told him when we found out that the cancer was going to be fatal that the greatest honor of my life was being his wife for a lifetime. He was not alone as he exhaled his last breath. He knew I loved him and would always love him. I will never forget my beloved.

Being there for one another during the hard times and calling one another out - these all comfort and help us grow But, over the past few years we’ve reconnected with people we haven’t seen for a while, they’ve been married for a while and it seems like their worst traits have just grown like the relationship coddled and nurtured it…
