Understanding the opposite sex...it’s no easy task.
There are certain books and podcasts I consider to be MUST-READS when it comes to changing what you know about men.
The book Men are From Mars, Women Are From Venus written by Dr. John Gray is one of them!
Dr. Gray’s book taught a generation that men and women want different things from communication and relationships.
The interesting thing is…Dr. Gray spoke with me last month about where our culture is now, and what men really want from a woman in 2022.
Some things have changed. Some things have not!
If you want sage advice on what men want from women in the modern era, listen to my interview with Dr. Gray!

Mama the most incredible woman God ever put on earth met Dad when she was 10 and he was 12 and decided she would marry him. Married at 17 and 19. 3 kids kept her figure through 91 till death. Said she and Dad had a romantic relationship to the end and I have photos of them when he was already diagnosed (doctor error so really sad) with terminal cancer and they were still out having coffee and laughing hysterically hand clapping laughing!!! AND passionately kissing at 78 and 80 after 68 years together!!! She was always a lady !!! Looked great everyday and the house looked great!!! And Dad and her had a great time even in the worst of times!! Daddy loved a good time!!! They knew how to live!!!!

I love this man! He makes so much sense and is so easy to understand. He’s absolutely right that there’s a lot of lies going on that you can pick your gender and gender doesn’t exist. There are definitely differences between genders. I’m glad I could comment on this video and express how much I love John Gray’s voice of truth because he doesn’t allow comments on his own channel.

I started listening to Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and decided to look the author up. Always thought it was kind of a sitcom view on relationships. "Man go oogah boogah" kind of stuff. And yeah, we do kind of do that sometimes, but it's presented with a lot more nuance. It appears most of his interviews are dealing with dating from the woman's perspective, although there's enough good information in there that applies to both. (Plus, it's kind of like sneaking into the other team's huddle so you can find out their game plan.) I'm 100% guilty of going into my cave when I'm angry or stressed. I have definitely ended a few relationships prematurely because of that. Apparently women take it personally when you disappear for a week and then re-appear and pick up where you left off. 😅 Of course, understanding how women view communication it makes total sense.

Haha thanks for the comment. You're funny in your ownership of how it doesn't work for women when a man disappears. Something like a rare and beautiful diamond in a man. Sounds like you are well on your way to embodying your true and strong masculinity. So glad to hear your side and I respect you for taking the time to provide such a well thought out comment. Thanks for watching!

@reppy
@reppy 3 ай бұрын
@@user-cz9dh4yy3g Hi Ng, men can watch porn for a lot of different reasons. A lot of times it's just boredom or habit. Or men will watch porn because they are depressed. I used to watch porn but I no longer do. I never hid it or lied about it to my girlfriends. I didn't watch it because I was unattracted to my girlfriends. I watched it because I was bored. I found that porn did negatively impact me so I quit. The website called "Fight The New Drug" and a free ebook called "The Easy Peasy Way To Quit Porn" both helped a lot.

I’m a woman and I completely agree with everything John Gray says. Except I will say this Women need to meditate more to listen to their intuition and inner guidance. Not go to counseling. I have already been down the path of what doesn’t work with men. I see why my relationships didn’t go any further. I was too independent and too much in my masculine because I had to be. I was trained to be like that from childhood. I’m not going into the story because it’s what I understand now that’s important. I actually live with 7 men two are gay. Masculine gays actually. With feminine attributes though. I see everything John is saying and I understand now why I’m living with seven men. They are just housemates that’s all nothing intimate because that’s not why I’m here. They have no idea how much I have grown and healed. Just there presence in the house has been more than enough for me. Yes they have their problematic behaviours if they get emotional. Addictions etc. I think my presence softens their anxieties even though I know they don’t want to talk about what’s bothering them too much. All of this makes so much sense. It’s gold 😊 Thank you so much ♥️🌻🌸🌻🙃🤩👏👏👏👏

I know when I see my husband again, and I will…. I will be a better woman. His death has taught me a lot. I have looked back on certain aspects of my marriage and now with that knowledge that I have gained through his death I can polish those edges and I will have more education and be better for my next opportunity .

First , men should want to be with or want to love you otherwise non of things dont work. I met a guy, and as he said, i was amazing, cooking for him , taking care of him when he got sick, etc... but I found he was still in a relationship. I said i am out, then he convinced me that their relationship had finished for a long time but not officially and she is like dead to her, no feelings for her at all, and one day came and told they are officially done. We start dating again but in our 3 months dating, despite all he claimed didn't have before, i found he was cheating with ex and were seeing each other. So he made an upset and angry woman of me. Byt, i left him immediately when i saw their texts and found out the truth.

I understand the concept of testosterone levels increasing after 6 days being healthy for both partners. I’ve been in a few relationships, and every single man expected sex everyday, some multiple times in a day. Or at least every time we were together, say 4 times a week. I wonder if this reflects a sex/porn addiction, and may explain why several of them could not ejaculate, ever. I haven’t spoken to a single man who WAS willing to have sex only once a week. Perhaps that is my signal to move along

Yes when any of us are upset we should take time to reflect on what we need to focus on which is the matter at hand that we're trying to have understood or accomplished that's why men take breaks and that's why women should also do that to reflect on what their needs are so they can just stay their needs and why those needs are important. I like what John said when a man says to a woman well why are you feeling like this blah blah blah just blah that's what a man would say to another man and the same thing with a woman rushing to a man going what's wrong why are you feel this way blah blah that's how women treat other women

Very interesting! I was surprised when Dr Grey said men’s testosteron go up again after 6 days of abstinence. But most men want sex on a daily basis, well line does. What does that tell about his testosteron? And yes he wants sex daily yet is not that romantic and so my interest drops… annoying situation.

I totally hear you! There are lots of resources to help with this. Your interest drops because you’re not satisfied. You get to discover your needs and he gets to learn how to last longer. Look up Kim Anami. She teaches this stuff. She’s amazing!

Love Dr. Gray! We are like brothers from another mother. Both of us are 70 and both us have married women from China that are quite a bit younger. I have been married longer but I feel like there is still so much to work on. He must have insights! I wish he would discuss how he has handled the differences he has experienced in his relationship - especially the age difference. John is 71. his wife is almost 40. How did he blend the two families. My daughter is still struggling to accept my new wife. (They are similar in age.)

Yes these are real issues. Perhaps my next interview with John I can address this. You are certainly not the only one with an age gap. I have one of 15 years with my man!

I found the info re; testorone sp helpful but my person is an alpha male deeply Catholic 3 daughters avid for his attention and just retired as a phychiatrist sp I've known him for 16 year his wife died 10 years ago and we have been dancing around both of us until he is no longer bound by very important boundaries ,... he loves me we have lunch he wants me ... I don;t care i simply love him back. Sometimes there are no rules or in my case I had a great Dad ....
