I had a coworker who showed me a pic of a skinny girl with super defined abs and a curvy waist that was obviously unnatural and she told me she wanted to be like that. When I told her it was photoshopped she didn’t want to believe me lol.

I agree. The point of the interview wasn't what men expect women to look like. The point of the interview was to make women more aware of what they're doing to their bodies just for the pleasure of the male gaze. If a man doesn't like the way that you look naturally, he's not worth your time. And this is coming from someone who truly never wears makeup. I didn't even own makeup to wear to my sister's wedding. She had to give me some face cream and powder to put on that's all I was willing to do. I'm also 35 years old and I still get carded and have people tell me I look like I'm 18. Because my skin is healthy. Because I never bombarded it with makeup or tanning products or sunlight. I'm not trying to say that I wasn't naturally blessed with good looks. I never would have been willing to say that growing up, but I now have the confidence to believe that. Also, the girl in this video is a bad example because she's really effing beautiful even without any makeup! More beautiful than me! And I just got finished bragging about how confident I am in my own beauty! 😂

Maybe for fun or they just like practicing on their skills, but some people just use it because they are insecure. I can explain what happened here. People don't ask you if you're sick because you naturally look sick without makeup. You have conditioned them to accept the 'normal' look of you to be one with makeup. Letting them see you without makeup was a shift in their accepted appearance of you. Had you never worn makeup around them your natural face would be the normal, healthy version. Had you always talked to him without makeup he would never have assumed you were sick. The fact that most women don't understand this, and assume that their natural complexion must be sickly and unattractive, is puzzling.

One of the first times he said “Are you sure you want to leave the house without makeup?” society tells me that I should have been insulted, but I was actually so relieved. Usually, just Burt’s Bees and Carmex, 😂 For special occasions, I’ll use some under eye brightener and mascara, but cleaning it all off is such a hassle. I’ve never liked the feel of foundation on my face; it feels like I have a dirt mask on my face lol. My skin likes to breathe, and it’s quite sensitive so I was never able to find my color in any foundation anyways. I think I’d only bother for, like, my own wedding (not in my immediate plans but never say never). Or my own graduation, when I get a Master’s degree. Definitely for a ph. D.

To know that there is a place for us in God’s own eternal home -well what more do we need to feel fulfilled and at peace? "Since I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:3). To believe in this promise of a place in our Father’s house, it helps for us to know how we are going to get there safely. Jesus assures us that he himself will personally return, gather us up to him, and escort us to our new home. Jesus says that nobody can come to the Father except through him. "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me" (John 14:6). Unless we are in that blessed gathering that Jesus himself escorts to heaven on that last day, we have no other way of getting there and will never see our Father’s house. How do we become one of those who are assured of this escort to heaven? Jesus himself tells us what is required, as follows Six Steps to Grace The words of Paul in Romans (and his agreement with Jesus in the gospels) on what people should do to receive grace. 1. Hearing Christ’s word (Romans 10:8-17, Matthew 7:24). 2. Believing -having faith (Romans 1:16-17, John 3:16). 3. Repentance from sin (Romans 2:4-5, Romans 6:1-2, Luke 5:31-32). 4. Confessing Christ (Romans 10:8-10, Matthew 10:32). 5. Being baptized into Christ’s death (Romans 6:3-4, Mark 16:15-16). 6. Ongoing commitment (Romans 12:1-2, Romans 12:11-12, Luke 9:62). That's exactly what my mother who wears makeup even in our own house told me. Meanwhile I'm almost 23 and I barely know how to do it myself. I just put on some in special occasions.

I enjoy putting makeup, just like how makeup artists enjoy putting makeup on other people. Some people generally loves makeup and finds it their passion or something to comfort, unlike some men whenever they find a legit model having full face of makeup on they call her the “hottest prettiest girl ever” even tho y’all prefer “natural” look… we don’t care really about what you all prefer. Was this psychiatrist someone who you know that sees you all the time usually with makeup on? I keep seeing comments like this. I'm 40 and haven't worn a single bit of makeup in 20 yrs. Literally not one single person I know now has ever seen me wear anything other than chapstick. I have never once been asked if I was tired or told I look sick or anything like that. If someone is always wearing makeup, especially full coverage then people are only seeing them with "perfect" looking skin so when they don't wear it, I think it's reasonable for them to assume something may be wrong because they look different. There's so many people these days that wear a ton of makeup and look like a completely different person with out it. I mean its not surprising too me that people would get confused when they don't wear it.

@@Xessa82 But grown men should be aware that women look different with and without make up. They should know what a natural woman's face looks like. Regardless, it's kind of rude to tell someone they look tired, especially in a group setting. There was no reason for it. I would expect a psychiatrist to be a bit more socially aware and not so lacking in discretion when it comes to such things.

I wish I had never gotten in the habit of wearing makeup to work. Now I feel like I can't go without it :(

@@katiegraham8484 I recommend slowly and gradually toning it down. Use a little less blush, mascara or eye liner than you are now, for a few weeks. Then use even less. Then one day you can use none, and it won't be a shock. Especially if you wear cute outfits and do your hair nicely, then people won't even notice or remember how much make up you used to wear. And you'll be very comfortable going out the door with none on, or at least very little. This is what I did and it worked out. I never thought I could leave the house with so little and feel as confident as I did before.

okay let’s be real here though she wasn’t actually putting anyone down. she just said she thought women look better without it and that there is a bunch of crap that is bad for you in makeup which is very much true. you can most definitely find makeup that isn’t bad for you but majority of makeup has ingredients that actually fck with your hormones, gives you allergies etc.

One time i was wearing a full face and i took off just half my makeup, Mulan style for fun. I asked my dad and brother if they noticed anything weird about my makeup and they said no 😂

Also, whenever I try to explain them that when they mean they don't like makeup (some men say that), they actually mean they don't like overtly visible/heavy makeup. NOT TO MENTION, make up, doesn’t necessarily negatively impact your skin. The way you take care of your skin, prep your skin, and remove make up or all factors. But most, if not all cosmetics nowadays, have some form of skin care inside the ingredients list of the product. They are supposed to give minimal benefits, such as sun, protection, moisture, etc. This lady don’t know what she’s talking about 😂 and should also let women live how they want and wear however much or little makeup they please
