As a person who also has seizures and has had them for years I can say that it’s possible he can grow out of them since he’s still young and they aren’t very bad though he may also have them for the rest of his life and they will change over time so it’s good to monitor and keep an eye on him. When i have seizures sometimes I almost suffocate from not being able to do anything other then shake on the ground

I have an almost 2 year old that started having seizures every two-ish hours that was triggered from a febrile (fevered/sick) seizure. They didn’t stop even after the sickness went away and they showed no signs of slowing down. It was like a switch has been pulled and got stuck in the down position. kepra only decreased to about 5 a day. Neurologist solution was to try out other drugs on him or increase the current at the time kepra dose he had. I had connections that suggested I give him an NAD IV(vitamin b3), and also a Meyers cocktail IV(a blend of some essential vitamins). He was to have these treatments every day or so for a few times but after the first treatment they completely stopped and we did finish out the other treatments. If he gets sick we know we can give him NAD pills, the pill version of the NAD IV and it either prevents them all together for that sickness or that bout of seizures is reduced to about 3 for that sickness. He seems to be on the fast track to grow out of the seizures like some of his relatives did with their “normal” febrile seizure and I have the confidence to send him to daycare since I have been able to catch it every time that he may start up again since they were triggered by sickness. His seizures went from every two hours ish , to very few and far between. The NAD treatment for seizures might not be apart of mainstream medicine, but boy is it nice to have his future ahead of him for him to take ahold of and make great.

my little cousin has absent seizures. they used to scare him a lot bc he would just me up doing stuff and suddenly pause and he can hear everything around him but he says he cant see anything which was scary for him when he was around 5-7 years old. he hit a rough spot a few years ago where he was having them so often and he was at the highest dose of medicine for his age he could receive. hes now 12 and at his last EEG he didnt have any seizures in the full 24 hours bc they have his seizures controlled.

When I was 6 and a half years old, I had my first seizure, at least the first been seen. I was diagnosed with epilepsy some time later, went to two different neurologists, and continued to take medicine until I was 13. My neuro said I'm fully recovered now. I'm now 17. I had absense seizures too but they were longer than his, but not long enough to give me any sequels, thank God. The thing that having epilepsy troubled me the most was sleeping. The medicine I took made me so sleepy. Because of this I think I slept in class every sigle day. So It was Very hard for me. I stopped taking medicine in the middle of the year. In the end of It, I was so much better, and was the first year that I could remember that ended without failing any subject.

One thing you guys might look into if the seizures get worse is a seizure dog (or...well any dog! They will teach themselves 9 times out of 10) that will alert him (and/or you and your husband) if he is going to have one. Gives him a chance to lay down for the larger ones and you a chance to make sure he can't accidentally hurt himself.
@Ya_boi_khoi
@Ya_boi_khoi 11 ай бұрын
That could help. But the dog could get distracted. They also have like 6..? Kids I think and 3 of them are special needs. It’s also a lot of money which with the things their kids need, idk how much money they have to afford a service dog or a dog in general. But that could definitely help.

My BC Tess's son, Maxwell Smart, became a service dog to a little girl with CP. He trained himself to predict her seizures, but he had to train his owner so she'd know how to respond to his warning. His mother let me know that I had Diabetes 2 with the sniff test in '95 before my dr. diagnosed it. I wonder if my other BCs might've had this other such abilities if noticed and trained earlier.

My sister will stare up at the sun or roof while her eyes kind of flicker as they try to roll to the back it lasts for about 10 seconds and she will either go back to normal or cry afterwards.

Have you tried CBD? It helps so very much for seizures. In humans and animals. CBD does not contain any THC.

I have epilepsy and much much more I have lots of different types of seizures every day and mines happen when I'm sick, to happy, sad, mad, anxious, scared, hot and stressed out and when I'm not any of these I still have them I've fallen and hurt my self lots of times but I get back up ever time just like griffin. So even if he does have them for a long time he will get stronger each time he has one because he's EXTREMELY STRONG just like his parents 😊 stay safe and beautiful y'all 🤠❤️

My 9 year old developed epilepsy 2018. It's gotten much worse. His are from brain damage. They will only get worse. He recently hit his head while having a grand mal and it caused him to focal seizure for 18 hours. It was so scary. It's been a hard journey bc my son is nonverbal and lacks communication skills. I'm just learning how many different types and kinds of seizures and my son has way more seizures than I thought. It's the hardest years of my life

My cousin used to have seizures and once had it in front of me. It was scary, but minor and he is safe. He is now 11 and seizure free. (Still having to take medication night and morning.) I wish the best for Griffin and love that you taught him what to do. I believe he will be seizure free very soon.

Coming from a kid that used to have seizures I feel for him. I’ve had seizures my entire life. I am now seizure free for 40 years now just don’t give up you’ll find a doctor that uses different tactics and just using medication like my doctor I have I am very thankful for him.

My brother also has severe epilepsy. I’m glad that he knows when and what to do in this case. He probably will have them forever but with the medication needed he will have basically a nice life.

It took many years, multiple neurologists, until my sister finally found the right doctor and treatment plan and she has been seizure free for several years. Hopefully your little one can find that doctor one day. It just takes so much time… neurology is so finnicky and finding that doctor that understands the source of the problem is the key to solutions (: Glad he is improving (:
