I have been to Africa a number of times, and the thing western media doesnt tell you is how beautiful the countryside of Africa really is. Even in Somalia with all of the strife and terrible things going on when I was there, the land is stunning and wild....like you are going back in time. The people (Mostly) are welcoming and are very nice and typically very curious about Americans and are just normal people.

Are the politicians permanent though, why doesn't zim come together as one and choose different leaders coz the one's there haven't delivered for close to 40 years, instead of zim people hoping zanu leaders will change i think its time they changed and saved the situation coz their leaders are not too concerned in their mansions and luxury vehicles

I'm from South Africa and passed through Zim a couple of time to and from Zambia. Once I told my husband that if I need to live in any other African country, it will be Zim. That was about a month before the economy start to fold. That was so very very sad. I've come accross quite a few zimbabwians in South Africa and had some pupils in my class. They are always well mannered, respectful and friendly. Just love the country and its people. I pray that your economy will be restored and that you all will be able to live decent lives. Another point I want mention is that we always stays amongst the villagers in tents or their huts in whatever African country we went to. That's quite a different experience than staying in luxurious hotels. I would say it's a 1000% better experience to stay among the villagers. The people are so welcoming.

It is a beautiful country with very softharted, polite and friendly people. My view is the people is the ones that lets Zimbabwe down. They choose the leaders and expect it to be different. If 90% of the population vote anything else but Zanu PF how are they going to stay in power. Am I missing something? Perhaps new leaders will start change for the better.

Also loved the steak at Shearwater, sometimes they have a live band playing there at night, cool place. The sunset boat cruise is the best but the long walk at the falls can be very tiring! Ironically I didn't see that much game on the game drive it wasn't very good I must say.

Those billion dollar bills didn't exist after 2012, they switched to US dollars and other multiple currencies. They replaced them with 1 digit notes in 2019 that change value anytime, so its useful to anyone travelling to that country.

@@MichalW95 Oh, really? Read the following article and then let your conscience tell you if you do have one, how great your wonderful 'Rhodesia' was PERIOD! ( The Unsettled Land by Jocelyn Alexander). I believe that EVERY HUMAN BEING HAS a Right to be treated EQUALLY! Nowhere, in God's Word, the BIBLE does He speak about 'whites, blacks, and coloureds! Nations and tribes, that is what they are called!! Since when are Caucasians better than any other people of colour? Do you know that God is a God of Justice? Look closely at what is happening to 'White' Colonials in the USA and the UK. The same is happening in Australia! Refer back to their history of slavery and how the so-called 'White Colonials treated the indigenous people of those countries! The Bible also tells us that whatsoever a man sows, he will reap, good or bad! Ian Smith was DEMONIC! The Bible also speaks about The sins of the parents shall fall upon their children! I feel sorry for Ian Smith's offspring! He laughed when he spoke about all the indigenous people that he had killed during his reign as Prime Minister in Rhodesia! Read! Read and read again to understand what really happened in Rhodesia! May God give you a change of attitude towards Every tribe and nation in this world, irrespective of their skin colour, in the all-powerful Name of Jesus, before it is too late!!
