On a accuracy training bag each punch has a number, 1 is the jab, 2 is the straight right hand, 3 is the left hook, 4 is the right one, 5 is the left uppercut, so on and so forth. So when a fighter says "1-2" they mean a jab and then a straight, not just any 2 punches.
