Hi Cathy, I am an 82 yr old guy learning how to cook for my self. You are my instructor and I can now do ok at cooking the things I like. Recently widowed at 64 but cannot cook, my wife liked her George Foreman 7-in-1 grill that includes an air fryer. That thing will keep me alive. Okay, slight exaggeration, but Cathy is giving me some hope. I think my wife would have been pleased to see these, and also with what I have been learning.

Cathy, Thanks for your work. My wife suddenly died a few months ago, and I don't know how to cook. But she used an air fryer. Although it was not your intention, you gave a lonely widower some encouragement. By the way, I cooked fish in it and the smell remained after washing. I ended up "air frying" white vinegar, which helped a great deal.

Hooray!!! I’ve tried broccoli in the air fryer a few times and was not impressed…thanks for the tip, Cathy…you’re always my go-to gal!!! After watching you millions of times and using your cookbook, I still made a big, big faux pas😱 I was making mini bagel pizzas and put in the liner getting ready to fill and then thought, no, let’s preheat it forgetting I had put in the liner, needless to say, I knew right away when I heard a horrible noise and smelled something burning…thank heavens I was right next to it!!! I thought of you telling us to never, never preheat with parchment liners!!! Kudos, kiddo!

At this point: Thank you for your videos! I thought for a long time about whether an air fryer was worth it and was convinced by your videos and now have an air fryer from Cosori (the new one with a "viewing window", super practical - especially for beginners!). Many of the recipes are very "American", but I was able to "Europeanize" a lot of them 🙂 I would never have thought of preparing broccoli in the air fryer - but the frozen broccoli turns out really fantastic!

I think baking in the air fryer really depends on the model. I have two versions, one has the basket the other one is like an oven with racks. Both have the bake button but the oven one cooks cakes great while the basket one does not. I use the basket one for smaller stuff and it works well. On getting cheese off, let it cool till it’s hard then just scrape it off lightly. I make cheese sticks like crazy and they always explode a few. Once the cheese solidified it came loose in one big piece and cause the basket is a non stick coating it came right off. Don’t try wiping it when it is still hot and gooey! Lesson learned, that made clean up worse! Just clean it before it is stone cold. Other thing that works, pour boiling water into the basket and let it sit to soften up the cheese a little. This works great when a sauce gets burnt to the bottom of the basket. Hope this helps others! Love your recipes, I pull them up and use them a lot to make quick ideas!

A whole cake I haven't tried BUT I have those mini angel can pans (non-removable center) where I've used muffin mix in those. Those came out excellent! I believe having the hole in the center helps with having the mix bake better. Cupcake silicone cup yup mine came out all wonky but still tasted great lol

First things first...Happy belated Birthday! Now then, thanks to you I bought the Cosori Dual Blaze (which I could only get from Amazon here in the UK) and it has been great. I've cooked everything from Bread, Quiche, Cake, Steak and Fish and one of our favourites...stir fry! I also tried your one pan cooked breakfast with bacon, sausage and egg which turned out just perfect. As for the broccolli, I use fresh in my stir fry and because it gets coated with a little sesame or nut oil and tossed with all the other goodies it seems to cook fine. Thanks again for all your tips, tricks and recipes. Just one thing, as the Dual Blaze has two heating elements would that affect the overall cooking time? Oh and just to say the Cosori after sales service is also the best. The rubber corner pieces on the trivet stretched, came apart and fell off. I looked on the Cosori website but they did not sell them seperately, so I contacted Cosori and the sent me a set free of charge.
