Enjoy this rebroadcast of one of our most popular videos! We'll be back with a new live show next week!
We know that thyroid disease is multifactorial, and has several different causes and triggers. Many people receive a hypo or hyperthyroid diagnosis as a result of having a blood test performed during a doctor visit. The typical standard of care is for the doctor to then prescribe lifelong medication to treat the condition... It is extremely uncommon for a doctor to discuss the different triggers of thyroid disease. Such is the case with thyroid disease and gluten sensitivity. In this episode, we break down the connection between gluten and thyroid damage, and cover some of the most important thyroid concepts...

I got more than 10 thyroid nodules. After taking selenium for around 3 months they were gone. Then I stopped taking selenium for a time but last ultrasound shows 1 nodule and 1 cyst so i begin taking it again.

Appreciate and love Dr Peter Osborne’s videos Also….Sally K Norton talks about oxalate crystals (from high oxalate foods) in thyroid as well as other body parts. She did KZfaq videos with Jesse Chappus & Paul Saladino on oxalates.

I asked my PCP to do Genetic gluten sensitivity testing and She said She didn’t know how or what to order. I work in a Hospital Lab and I sent her exactly what to order and She still refused! She said if I wanted that test that She would refer me to a Specialist! She did order a Thyroglobulin Ab and it was high! This after only testing for three years a TSH and T4. Why? Pride because I asked? Ignorance?

Thank you so much for your program. It is all well and good saying to fined another doctor or have your doctor write an Rx to a compounding pharmacy, but I am now looking for a new doctor the second time this year. It takes weeks to fined some one that is taking new patients as well as one that will listen when you ask them to try something new. You can ask your doctor to write an Rx to a compounding pharmacy but your insurance may not cover it. Don't even go there with Medicare or Medicaid. your are SOL. Thanks again and the best to you.

Please talk more about armoured thyroid. My Dr has me on 60 mg per day. I new it was too much. I changed doctors because she would not listen to me. He raised the dosage. We have a sick health care system. What am I to do?

I have had hashimoto's for 15 years. I had a cat scan with contrast which threw me into HYPER and into a horrible thyroid storm. What I've learned is that too much iodine can be harmful and cause this in hashi patients. Scary to say the least! Hope no one else has had this happen.

I'd like to see whether and in what cases electromagnetic exposure alone can induce hypothyroidism, or whether it's reliant on synergisms with other toxins, gut issues, maybe prolonged stress and poor sleep, or malnutrition. I've seen people who have their dog on levothyroxine. Maybe it's more about dirty electricity. House wiring is basically a massive antenna around an EM exposure box, feed in whatever. In the case of the dog obviously it's eating GMO grains, drinking halogenated water, maybe mold exposure. Small dog, low body mass, lower to the ground. Eh. Unrelated. Something to watch is QS-21 (Matrix M, literally injecting a pi joke) and PDLNPs. It connects, from mosquitos to plant based diets.

✨Synthesis of Thyroid Hormones and Iodine Metabolism ✨Iodine is en essential nutrient needed by our glandular system, the endocrine system, which also includes the Brain. Properly functioning glands are saturated with Iodine. When the thyroid makes thyroxine (T4) it uses 4 iodine molecules. When T4 is sent to the Liver, the Liver stripes one of the iodine molecules and the result is triiodothyronine (T3) which is made of 3 iodine molecules. Iodine is vital for proper function ✨

It depends. Supplemental iodine or overshooting my innate iodine threshold results in dysfunction & plays a major role in triggering or exacerbating my Hashimitos. Why? Because of the presence of both types of antibodies. Perhaps you might research a little further about individuality

TSH-range of 0.5-4.5 is way too wide. Best values are 0.8-1.8, above and below are hypo and hyper already. Most doctors still ok at 0.6 or 4.4, still within the crazy range 😂.

The problem with reference values is that they steer a practitioner away from treating the patients symptoms of whatever they’ve come to be treated for. Treating lab numbers is lazy and a blunt weapon to gaslight the patient with.
