Hey @jingsourcing, I am thinking of importing adjustable weights from china. It will be my first time ever and my plan is to ship them directly to amazon. If you still want to start with it, you may consult the customer service of the platfoim you plan to sell on to know the basic requirements for your items. FCC is Federal Communications Commission, many wirelesses apply to products, communicate products and number's products want come into America market, all request FCC De approbation. So if you wants to sell these kinds if products in America, you will need FCC certified.

I have a question. I created a product that requires 2 parts from different manufactures, the packaging is from a 3rd manufacturer, and the printed instructions from a 4th. Instead of having each manufacturer ship the items to me sepperatly and pay 4x shipping is there a way to send all pieces to 1 manufacturer and have them combine everything before shipping to me all at once. The dimensions of each fully assembled unit is 156mm x 90mm x 51mm and weighs 190 grams. As of right now I am only ordering parts for 200 units at a time. P.s. you are putting out so much great content that I have been searching for!!! Thank you for your content :)

Hi Michael, this is a good way to low shipping cost and it's better you can let one of the part supplier to help you combine the products and send to you in one shipment because they know the product best. But if none of these suppliers agree to do that, you need to find an agent to help you with that.

Yes, I think they are very good products. Because the market demand is huge for women's products. And also for these products you mentioned, they are very easy to get customized. If you can apply your own creativity to the product, to make the product unique and different from competitors, you will be killing in the market.

Buying used phone is good business to your country. Make sure to choose suppliers from Shenzhen City, and use Aliexpress for buing very small quantity. Or Use Alibaba to buy larger quanttity (like $1000 above), but use Trade Assurance at least for the first business with new supplier.

Thank you for the comment. There's no a best manufacturer for all this products. For small business, what you need to do is to find suitable products first, then identify if the supplier is legit or trustworthy. It doesn't matter if the manufacturer is the best in China or not. As long as the supplier have good communication with you, sample product quality is good, price is nice, then buy from him. Best manufacturer always have large MOQ, and they only deal with big retailers.

I think the business is good. And we also have a big customer from Germany that selling this product category. And he starts from small quantity also. The good thing for this product is huge gross profit, which means you have a lot of opportunities to figure out an effective marketing way to promote the product.

Hi Ayesha, most of our customers are doing Amazon private labelling retail business, this is a good one to try with. About wholesale FBA, I do not know much about it. For the products you mentioned, I think kitchen products would be better for new seller, as most of them are normal products. And for beauty products, you need to first learn about what certification or qualification you need to have to sell them on Amazon, you check with Amazon's customer service team. And it's better you can register a comapny to doing Amazon business.

Hi, Tammie. Thanks for the comment. Greeting cards sounds fine, but it depends on how you sell them, through what kind of Channel. Paper made greeting cards or other gift products is also a huge market, but I can tell you that most of foreign buyers for this type of products are big retailers. Most of these products are low value, so it will be quite hard for individual business to make considerable money by selling in large quantity.

Hi what's the other way to prevent local charges because i bought a sample product from alibaba, i paid including the shipping fee, and when the product arrives at me they still charge me for the local shipping fee. Thanks for your answer :)

It probably depends on the shipping company in your local. Usually samples are shipped by courier companies like DHL, FedEx. Maybe if you are too far away from city, there will be some charges? Also, if your supplier didn't choose paying import duty from him, The postman will charge you import duty when it's delivered.

Choosing a reliable supplier that you can work with him for long term business will be the key point, if you want to purchase products in large quantities. Trade Assurance or other Escrow solutions can not always solve problems.

You only buy large quantity, when you feel the supplier is worthy to work for long term, after a few orders. Otherwise, better to split your orders to different supplier to reduce the risk. By doing this, you can have higher chance to filter out the most reliable supplier.
