Before they were famous I burned out on the Appetite album playing it daily for a year in my car while driving through back roads in South Georgia. Once they became famous they were literally ubiquitous and you couldn't escape their music. Oddly, it took a while for the Appetite album to catch on. Once it hit critical mass it then came on like a ton of bricks. I was overwhelmed with GNR to the point I burned out on them for a while. One of the best bands ever, I just wish they had kept their act together and made another five albums at least. .

OK, although KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. That said, with the information needs to come making sure kids understand the consequences of their possible choices. This whole book banning, stripping The People and mostly the feminine part of their citizen's rights in Republican governed states will not lead to any good at all. No good for anybody at all. Education and thus Truth must be elevated to a much higher level.

Mr brownstone was written by slash and Izzy (gnr’s lead and rhythm guitarists) about their heroin addictions. They wrote it together after coming out of a weekend bender. It basically describes their lives in a band while in heroin. In they explain that they used to be punctual and diligent about performing in the band but as their addictions have gotten worse, they stopped caring so much about whether they are on time or anything else but the heroin. Mr Brownstone was/is a nickname for a heroin dealer and for the drug itself. Eventually the pair’s addictions got so bad that Axl threatened to fire them as they had with their original drummer Steven Adler (alder had gotten so bad with his drug use by the time to record Use Your Illusion that he couldn’t even play the drums). Slash eventually quit heroin, but still was a heavy drinker for years afterwards. Izzy got clean after he left GNR after recording Use Your Illusion I and II. It’s why there is a sign on slash’s back in the Don’t Cry video that says “where’s Izzy?”, as Izzy not only didn’t tour with them afterwards but didn’t even appear in the music videos for the singles off the album. Izzy has guest appeared at some GNR live shows since.

@@robotariancod3 um no. Mr. Brownstone is the street name for heroine. The band mainly Izzy and Slash were heavy with heroine use. Slash isn’t Mr. Brownstone.

If you’ve ever been addicted to heroin this song makes so much sense. Great classic song unfortunately inspired by pain

Can clearly see you love this band like all of us recommending these songs to you. Definitely a great backstory, there's a reason they are one of the most loved bands ever. You should check out Duff McKagan's [the bassist] autobiography "It's so easy [and other lies]". You will love it and you'll get so see the pure chaos that was going on when they wrote and recorded these songs. Enjoy it bro! [the song is about heroin and they it is discussed in the book!]

This song is about how drugs affected their lives. "Now I get up around whenever. I used to get up on time." He's not taking care of his responsibilities because he's always high. He started with just a little, but then increasingly had to take more to maintain a high. "I used to do a little, but a little wouldn't do it, so the little got more and more."

Mr.brownstone is about a special “mailman” that is really “lit”, but I hope for your sake that you do not relate to the song or mr.brownstone. Mr.brownstone is a bad “mailman” that will fk your life up. Another name for mr.brownstone is heroin.

You're clearly a fan of Slash's guitar work. You should check out "Anastasia" from his solo group called Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Straight Banger.

Every song on this album is great, if you have an hour of free time you should do a reaction to the whole album beginning to end. You already did a few songs but its still awesome to listen to the whole album. Nightrain and Its So Easy are fire, Rocket Queen is their master piece from this album.

So I’m hoping that you eventually work your way around to Coma, and if you do please keep these things in mind in order to get the full effect of the song: 1) Listen to the album version, not the live one. There is a lot in the song that they can’t do live, and you need to hear it! 2) Have the lyrics on hand so you understand all the words. It’s a very meaningful song, especially the end! 3) Yes it’s a long song, but don’t let that keep you from doing it. You’ll LOVE the guitar parts and it will go by fast. It’s another masterpiece of theirs. Thanks for reading, I really enjoy your reactions a lot and sometimes when I’m having a bad day, watching you turns it around. Keep it up!

I feel like you could really enjoy some Faith No More, if you haven't heard of them. These are some huge favorites by their fans. 1. Epic 2. Edge of the World 3. Falling to pieces
