What is masculinity? This question is prevalent in conversations across the spectrum, from red-pillers to feminists. There is also increasing confusion among Muslim youth on gender roles and how to be a man. What does Islamic masculinity look like? Sh. Hamza Tzortzis joins Imam Tom Facchine to describe the traits of Islamic masculinity and how to develop them, the differences between Islamic masculinity and the current narratives, and the treatment of women and how to honor each other.

I looked at the people With a critical eye And found fault in everyone I looked at myself With a critical eye And found goodness in everyone I gazed longingly At blessings the people possessed And became unhappy I began to gaze at the blessings I possessed And became forever grateful I waited for people to greet me And became haughty I greeted the people first And became humble I expected people to forgive me And became arrogant I began to forgive people And became compassionate I thought others blameworthy And my ego inflated I believed myself blameworthy And my conscious responded I watched those who strived for the world And became complacent I watched those who sacrificed for deen And became productive I looked towards the worldly folk to emulate And lost myself I looked towards the Godfearing people And found myself I looked for a middle road in life And found it in Islam I searched for the ideal Human being And found my beloved Rasoollullah ﷺ I searched everywhere for Peace And found it In the Remembrance of Allah

I looked at Gaza from the window of my heart And saw the destruction of precious lives Flattened homes and shattered dreams But when my gaze fell upon the sorrowfull eyes I saw the overwhelming calm And acceptance of God's decree The people here were true believers Valiant, courageous, resilient and faithful But when I turned to look the other way There was utter despondency and fear For these people had waged a war against Allah The most powerful and Just Lord of the Worlds Then I looked towards the Muslim leaders But they had sand in their eyes And their hands were tied As the Ummah awakens O Allah free Palestine! This was a good discussion, but I found there was not enough focus on why and how the Red Pill movement is a highly inappropriate ideology, undermines Muslim Masculinity and womankind, and acts as a reactionary to the western feminist ideology. My favourite parts were where there was talk about how men can emulate the Beloved SAW and improve themselves towards a theocentric way of being and becoming a man. This could've been better done by focusing on more on those end points that ultimately did not get discussed and instead were relegated to last minute summaries due to being side-tracked by discussions of what what women should/shouldn't do which wasn’t the point of this episode - especially the last hadith mentioned. For example, take the various alpha male points of the Red Pill ideology and talk about the foiling characteristics of what virtues a man should be... focus more on the being (to quote the good Ustadh) of a man and not the what doings/not doings of a woman are/aren't acceptable. I feel if this episode as a start is great and to better continue and grow this seed in a possible part two, Dr Rudolph "Butch" Ware would be a truly brilliant addition. May Allah SWT bless Imam Tom and Ustadh Hamza for planting these seeds.

Salamu Alaikum Shikh Sulaiman brother. I am your Muslim sister from Afghanistan. I have a question and i hope you reply my question because it is very vital for me. I am currently living in France and I want to learn sewing skill to help my family and Muslim community through it but there is a problem, when i want to learn i have to sew the unislamic dresses in order to learn the skill and here to find a religious tailor is very difficult. Now i don't know whether i have to learn the sewing with sewing unislamic dress or i have to completely leave sewing. One thing i know is that Alla is opposed to not learning it because all Muslims should be equipped with different skills. Please Please Please answer my question brother. I really need it

I feel like a lot of muslims and christians and all kinds of faiths, pick these RP dudes up, but if we were really getting right with God, we would disgard these thought leaders. We would be encouraging people with the truth and be able to dismiss and discern what isn't the truth. A lot of these men have pride in their hearts and their arrogance ultimately may cause them their down fall ( if in fact they choose not to repent and turn away). Bless you brothers for this video. There have been a few Red Pill Muslims and ( Christians) and I just get the sense they plainly... don't respect or trust women. That's it in a nutshell.

I agree with the general premise of brother Hamza… I would like to pushback on a few points, the primary one being that if a man is providing and masculine his woman more likely than not will be the archetypal wife and not betray him or take him to the cleaners financially. I have known many brothers who provided and were decent enough and their wives left them for trivial reasons such as being boring and not cognitively stimulating enough, or not enough holidays. This is where the red pill has stepped in because brother hamza is speaking to the idealistic woman, whereas the women of today are very calculated and strategic. Men have to guard their assets before even considering inviting a woman into their life

Either way, it’s non Islamic. It’s rooted in the opinions of people. If anything, it’s just as bad as feminism, and could be worse if at extreme levels. We as Muslims, should not follow feminism nor red pill, instead we should follow the Quran and the sunnah. Both of which say men and women are equal in the scales of Allah. All that divides them is there deeds. For example, if we take the greater woman in history, Maryam (as) and compare her to firawn, which is better in the eyes of Allah? I’ll leave that for you to answer. and let’s say we take the greatest man in history Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and compare him to the worst woman, the wife of Lut (as), who is better and who is worse? I’ll just see your opinion on that. May Allah guide you, bless you, and inshallah grant you jannah 😊

Respectfully, this was about redpill and masculinity.. why have so much commentary on feminism?.. Also you are both European Muslim men, you don't have the oppressive cultural baggage that makes feminism have an appeal. Allah and Islam weren't enough in our societies to give our mothers and grandmothers true honour or protection, so of course it's logical to look outside for a better way of existing. There is a big difference in the appeal for feminism vs redpill. One is born out of consistent injustice, and one is just to stroke male ego.

If you follow a manmade ideology, then discard the parts that contradict Islam, and keep the parts that agree with Islam, what are you left with if not Islam? The Red-pill aka Tomasiyeen movement, attempts to explain the motives of women via the lens of evolutionary psychology, hence every analysis it makes is misinformed, and every conclusion it reaches is flawed.

Islamically no. Follow the sunnah of the Prophet PBUH, that is enough for men and women to know what they should and shouldn't do.
