What’s Coming Is Actrually Much Worse Than EVs Market Crash! EV sales growth has slowed down completely and nowadays, everyone talks about the potential EV market crash. But, what if we tell you that the problem is much bigger than low demand for EVs, what if we tell you that this might be the first stage of a complete failure of the EV revolution? The electric car market may have seen its bad times, but is the worst yet to come? This video explores a looming threat to electric cars. We'll delve into the potential causes and what it might mean for the future of transportation, especially for electric vehicles (EVs). Is this a temporary setback, or a fundamental shift that could derail the Electric Vehicle revolution entirely? 😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

It doesn't matter how meticulously you plan your journey as if you should need to anyway. That's a unique EV problem right there. There are three factors that can screw up your "plans". EVs almost never give you the theoretical range because that's always calculated in perfect conditions with no HVAC and going very slow. The charger stations can be broken or congested. Your car may not "talk" to the charger or the payment app.

An ICEV with any real acceleration that I wanted would average 12 MPG. While an inexpensive Chevy Bolt would average 131 MPGE. And FPL would provide a charger, install it, and allow me to use unlimited electricity to charge it for $35 a month. It was a no-brainer. Now had I don't the same cost/benefit when I lived in Montana I would've had rocks in my head to buy an EV.

A 300-pound battery with 5-minute charging could save the EV. With ongoing tax credits and subsidies the EV can continue indefinitely. But the governments are broke and paying relatively well-off households to buy stuff they don't need rather than taxing citizens is contrary. Owners of 2008 Crown Vics aren't buying EVs - households that buy new vehicles frequently is the market for EVs - a relatively small demographic.

Relying solely on solar energy and wind you say. Pah! To do that you need to increase the number of batteries by a massive amount. That just adds to the issue of environmental impact. It also adds massively to the cost. MASSIVELY! Did I mention it was going to be expensive? On top of that we probably don't have access to the materials necessary. The Europeans like to tout renewables. I think it was in Germany they trumpeted that at one point they were generating all their electricity with renewables. When I looked into it, that seems to have happened for about 20 minutes. As President Joe likes to say, come on man!

@@waynegardella6263 EV batteries degrade much faster from 100% to 90% than from 90% to 80%. Most EV owners report the initial 3% to 5% of range dropped in the first year, then after that it drops to about 1% to 2% a year. As an example, my Model S I got with around 250 miles of range when it was 2 years old with around 40k miles on it. Now it is 10 years old and the range is 240 miles and it has 130k miles on it. Keep in mind I have Supercharged the car countless times, and charge it regularly to 100% before road trips, so it is not being babied in any way. My case is pretty typical in the EV world. EV batteries are lasting far longer than forecast in the real world.

Affordability is important. A lot of people can't afford to spend $50k on a vehicle. If you look at it in practical terms, someone buys a brand new ICE vehicle for $35k and then can spend $2k a year on petrol, servicing etc so if they keep it for 10 years it probably costs about the same as buying a new EV. However, instead of $55k up front for an EV they put $35k up front and pay the rest off over 10 years.

Einstein, really? How stupid do you think we are? To power a three-ton AC uses on average 3,500 watts per month alone. That is more than double to charge your average Tesla [around 500 miles range]. So if you drive around 1,000 miles per month it is equivalent to just running your home AC during summer, or a Heat Pump during winter.

@@waynegardella6263 based on your comment - stupid is a crown you can wear with pride....you need to resit your maths. 3500W per month is alien tech and a value that's rate of consumption so x by hours x by days; your AC would be world renowned if it only used 3.5kw per month to run......a 60Kw battery (like a model 3 good for 300 miles)would need to charge for 3.5+hrs at 19.2KW (lvl 3 fast charge) at 240V to fill.......... that's 5.5x your "three ton" AC whatever that is that never switches to idle once done with its task.....and that's only 1/3 of your 1000miles. now try charging millions of those at the same time.....

For everyone to have an EV(just to keep them charged), there would be a need to have 2700 the actual output of the total energy production we have today, which includes nuke, oil, hydro, coal, wind, solar, and everything else I forget. Not to speak about the energy needed for production of said EV. EV is acronym for Total Insanity Car Purchased By Brain Damaged Stupid. TICPBBDS is the real acronym but too hard to remember, so we got EV.

Your not considering that if every car was an ev, all the gas that was previously needed to power peoples cars could then be burned in a power plant to charge those cars. The efficiency of burning in a plant vs a car is 3 times greater, that means we can power 300% more ev's with the same fuel. The fuel would last longer and we wouldnt need as much. This alone makes ev's a very good choice.

There is no choice there will be EV and Hybrids in the future and less Gas and Diesel, I have seen this same scenarios in other business in the past. There are multiple factors that must be consider including the ones you have stated. The world has been threw this many times in the past. Totally off base Einstein. Just here is Florida the utility company is investing heavily in EV Chargers as they see a lot of profit in doing so. Yes, the Feds want to invest in 500,000 chargers but that is a drop in the bucket as to the number of privately owned ones. The same government spends twice that amount every year subsidizing regional airports that are pretty useless. And you are totally clueless as to how insurance companies work. Each vehicle sold has its own actuary table. So you pay for the value of your personal car and to someone else's.

@@waynegardella6263 There are 8000 ICE fuel stations in UK, which can happily deal with the 40 million vehicles running about on our roads because iCE vehicles can refuel from empty to full is 5 to 10 minutes. Now over to EV which need about 1 charging station per 10 vehicles, do the maths. Not many UK people can charge at home because no parking in their houses, even worse with new build house because they get a communal parking space away from the house itself. Want to know something?...Way back in time, there were EVs and ICE cars and ICE cars won by a long shot. Today ICE cars have advanced enormously with very efficient and very powerful engines having slowly evolved over the past 100 years or so. But electric motors that drive the cars have not evolved much but the production of them have. For sure the electronics have advanced in both EVs and ICE cars. What revolutionised EVs was of course the batteries which have evolved from the advance in mobile phones and computers. But that ICE's are so far ahead that EVs with these new batteries have a long way to go yet to catch up with the ICE. Then there is the infrastructure to look at......EV is so far behind the petrol/ diesel infracture and it will tak a generation or two to catch up. The cost factor is another issue.....Until EVs come down in price and depreciation then it's slow mo for EVs.

Actually, the advancement in the automotive industry in the area of safety and gadgets is shared across both platforms. An electric motor will run 300,000 miles while an ICE might be good for 150,000. Unless it's a FIAT ICE then around 50,000.
