The digital clutch on the hammer drill is pretty sweet. I don’t own any Makita tools and all the hammer drills that I own don’t have that feature. Very interesting 👍

I've had pretty much all the brands from DeWalt Milwaukee and let me tell you when I bought these 40 volt Makita I never went back love the tools you can really tell the engineering that went into these tools and the quality of them as well

The drill seems solid the Chuck makes me worried I'd exchange it, but I don't think there are anymore left at this price

Hey bro. Unbiased opinion here. Those tools are excellent tools, makita impacts have always been excellent. People get caught up watching these shows and either don't know or forget these are not job-site real comparisons. Part of my problem with soalz, is he is not truthful on some his claims,like that makita 40volt hammer drill just keeps losing power every time you use it. That is patently false and ridiculous that drill is a beast. Now that being said Makita is pricing themselves off the market nobody I've ever met knows where to take a makita tool that needs repair, thier marketing is non-existant, thier 12volt and 18volt compact lines are garbage. Sorry for the long message from a fellow licensed electrician have always enjoyed your content

Hey , thx for the input 💯 correct on everything the drill seems solid AF the impact handle is very small. Like wtf how can that even happen. Small. But based on the date it came to market, fairly decent it's way too expensive and things certainly have changed on how tools are made and the performance gains in the same footprint. Etc. It's time for makita to step it up. But these are not bad tools

@@toolsandtactics amen bro. And thier battery tech I don't know who is running the show over there but how can harbor freight have an 8ah battery with 21700 cells and hyper tough have a 6ah and makita don't have nothing bigger than a 5ah in thier 18v line and no battery at all with 21700 cells in any of thier lines? But still want to charge hilti prices. Smh

@@joshwittmer5042 haha!! My buddy pointed out something huge. And that is that the batteries are exposed and have vents in the bottom, not even water. Resistant terrible

Impact drill has been fine but the drill is forever in being repaired. Only 2 years old and twice now my Makita 40 volt drill has had all internals replaced ( first time under warranty / this second time not ). I’m going back to 18 volt for this tool as it was A LOT MORE reliable.

I had a drill with a chuck that rolled over like that. I think it was damaged. How are you enjoying those metabo tools?

Metabo and I have an interesting relationship I appreciate the triple hammer. Design the smoothness and all around comfort I'm very skeptical on the batteries, no gages. Is a bummer And they are always on sale Pretty much all thier stuff is underrated I bought this kit just because I wanted another triple hammer. I knew it wasn't gonna have a quick insert. I was just gonna be bottom of the barrel It's just a really enjoyable impact to use I would just say get a bunch of batteries. And you'd probably be fine.

Yeah it's pretty big. Honestly, I prefer bigger drills. I enjoy the 998 999 flex. And even this drill It's kind of funny how small the handle on the impact is small the battery's too big with no other option of downsizing But I do enjoy the drill
@David-qy7ge3 ай бұрын
@@toolsandtactics I prefer the Metabo they heva normal size batteries and it feels really good I honestly hate the Makita products. Especially the 40 volt line it's not much stronger than the 18V I bet my Metabo 18v will beat this. The flex is actually a good product I have them also
