The battle of Castle iter deserves its own film, not just because of how strange it was but there likely was a lot of tension between the German contingent and the rest of the allies creating some drama.

The Portuguese dictator Salazar was (President) of Portugal from 1932 until 1968, during WW2 Portugal was kinda neutral because we: were invaded in Timor by the Japanese, give to the Americans bombers a fuel stop in Azores and we have an alliance with Britain. So after WW2 NATO Invited Portugal for two reasons: one for the help and for hating Communism. 6 years after Salazar, there was a revolution (25 of April 1974) and after the revolution we were democratic just like most of NATO members. NOTE: WE AREN'T SPAIN! WE ARE PORTUGAL!!! 🇵🇹
