I know I've said this already, but I feel like a sitting duck. My location is bad for the coming events and there isn't much I can do about it-mainly because of my finances and caring for my dementia addled parents. My father is probably on his way out of this realm, (hospital last two days) his bowels have two perforations and at age 88, w/MCI & a-fib full blown abdominal surgery would be too much, and we don't want him in pain the time he has left. My mom doesn't really grasp the seriousness of this and wonders how long before he's coming home. And this is in NY. I was a thread away from being totally off grid in WV, but had to come to NY 2012, to help my folks. I do wish I had someone else in my life as I feel all alone and I'm not sure I am physically strong enough to get through the coming chaos.

Last week I stayed in a fire evacuation zone. Anyway, so did a lot of people, but that's not what this is about It is about PREPPING. I have a doomsday stash and it has saved me in multiple emergency situations, including getting sick and having no way to get food, water, etc for 10 days. Only a few people know about my stash. So, anyway, I was really popular during this emergency because all the stores were closed and so were the roads. What was THE #1 item people wanted? I bet you can't guess! Answer: cigarettes. Yep!! And I had 'em in my stash because they are better than cash. I learned this in previous fires and always keep a carton or 2 in my barter stash. I am going to increase to 4 cartons (40 packs) Whether or not you smoke or think nobody else does, THEY DO! And, at least out here in the sticks, the people who do tend to be quite handy. They can fix things, they can un-alive things, they have trailers and trucks, propane, chickens, gasoline, etc. Say what you will, but having some items you may not use, but have BIG value to others is a mighty fine investment. Some people don't smoke but have a parent or someone else they know who does. So, think about barter items. I am sharing this one as I actually used it this week. Marlboro 100 Red seem to be most valuable.

@@slackjaw4270 they are sealed very well, but for longterm keep those moisture things in the container with them. If you end up with loosies (cigarettes loose, not sealed in their little box) put them in ziplock or vacuum seal loosies with the moisture pack. Also, get box and not softpack for better storage strength.

I don't think they can replace him. There are two states where he is on the ballot and they won't allow a change unless dead. Wisconsin I believe is one. State of Georgia they have 50 days and it's too late. They wait to the convention and there are 12 or 14 states they can't change. South Carolina is one they can't change no matter what.

@@Imsparky441 they can remove him from office, they just can't add another candidate to the ballot. His name would remain and best case scenario is anyone who votes for him goes to Kamala Harris if she is the new candidate chosen as her name is on the ballot as VP. Otherwise they have to do a write in campaign, because his name by the laws in place, can't be removed from the ballot after a certain date. So any NEW CANDIDATE WILL NOT HAVE THEIR NAME ON THE BALLOT IN CERTAIN STATES, it's already too late for the 2024 election in 2 states (I believe South Carolina and Wisconsin)unless death and that's only one of them, Wisconsin. South Carolina he is the Democrat candidate no matter what at this time into the election.

If it's an entirely different candidate, it's write in at best, if they can get enough signatures in time before that states deadline. South Carolina he remains on the ballot at this point even if he dies.

I live in the mountains with many tall trees, not so good for solar power. My solution; run a 150 lbs / 24 hours ice maker for the 4 hours that I get direct sunlight, and a fancy ice cooler. Been doing it that way for years.

Also that interview he did a a week or 2 ago and talking about economics...it almost seems undeniable at this point that the speculation that it might have been a double in a mask or some sort of deep fake, or something along these lines had to have been going on - because there's way too much of a difference in his ability to speak coherently in the previous video, in which his neckline definitely looked suspect

No more sun without sunscreen....keep a good quality aloe vera gel on hand - and if you refrigerate it, it will feel even better on burnt skin. I just use it all the time as a moisturizer and love it.

Wrong. Water doesn't become radioactive. It's the particulate in the water that's radioactive. Distill it, reverse osmosis, will remove it all. Carbon block filtration will help substantially.

In a pinch you can filter water through a tree branch or siphon through edible vines… must be fresh, cell walls filter impurities over 99%… takes a few minutes so have patience 😊 putting in a hand pump at my shallow well soon. Power outages make it hard to water my 100+ livestock…

Hey Ken, bottle spring water for online store sales by cutting a business deal with a soda or root beer pop company. As people can’t afford soda pops, these companies will be having sales losses but have the infrastructure to bottle and distribute water to the public. If you can find the right company to swing a deal, you could retire from this… even if the company are foreign investors

I'm glad the debate they called for early turned out so badly but his performance could have been easily explained away as they had done so many times before - instead of baby sitter Jill congratulating and talking to Biden like an infant which topped it off - they need a leash on her too
