I'm a coventry fan and this sort of stuff has been happening to them for over 5 years now and the board not giving them any money. As result of that we've gone down from the championship to league 2. I can see your frustration spencer. Btw spencer keep up the good work.

Don't think it is all about spending money with West Ham. You have got quality players but they seem to lack mentality. West Ham wants too much - ultimately, the pressure of, inter alia, the move to the Olympic Stadium has led to the club's demise.

Me as a Liverpool fan I understand why West Ham fans are so annoyed but there is no reason for them to acted the way they did when there is kids in the stadium it's not fair on them. Also the fans shouldn't be fighting each other at the end of the day they all want to same thing and that's for West Ham to stay up. But I do wish West Ham good luck for staying up :)

Cardiff City fan here. Our club had it's colours changed and it felt to a lot of people like it wasn't there club anymore and they still have not returned. However, 4 seasons on from our nightmare season in the top flight, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Warnock has come in, got the board together, fans together and everyone is pulling as one again. West Ham may get relegated, and there may be some dark times ahead for them but like Cardiff they may need to go through these dark times before they can develop further!

Going through a similar thing at Bradford City with a little bust up between a lot of fans and the owners. The way the owners addressed it was to invite a load of our fans to ask them questions in person. Seems to have calmed a few fans down to be fair though.

Well said Spencer! As West Ham fans we all understand the anger and frustration, if Gold and Sullivan have to be here for the near future then we all have to put up with it! They need to spend money but I also can’t see that happening. Keep Gold and Sullivan away until the end of the season, secure safety, and reassess in the summer. Probably the best we can hope for now.

I’m a Celtic fan, before I was born we nearly folded, we had a family that wanted to stay as the owners but couldn’t fund us, and we were 8 minutes from liquidation when we got bought and saved, there’s always good moments after the bad, so it’s annoying to see clubs like this in 50k seaters with an expensive team moaning that they’re losing a couple of games when they should be used to it, West Ham aren’t good at all, so their fans shouldn’t be reacting as if they’re massive and expect to win every game, the fact the West Ham team is pretty much incapable of playing football is the main reason, it’s not all to do with the owners, not many players would want to go to West Ham and play with Mark noble and James Collins.....

We currently face a similar problem with my club AC Omonoia Nicosia, the club with the biggest history in Cyprus and also the biggest fan base. Year after year we seem to struggle and have many economic problems, and in my opinion all those come from the modernization of football. The richer the team is, the better it is. Traditionally we are the team of the people, we are not a company(the last team in the first division that is still not) and we claim that our team belong to us, and not to a rich president that spend a lot of money and basically owns the club. The last days, the option to become a company is on the table because of the clubs current state, can't qualify for europe for a second year in a row with a squad of players that are selling the match for money. And the question is, can we survive and go back to the glorious years when we used to celebrate title after title, when players played for the team and not for the fame-money? Love your videos especially IMOs! Keep up with the good work and hoping for an answer with your opinion.

I do agree with you Spencer with what you have said about how certain fans have reacted to the way the club is being run by invading the pitch, in-crowd fighting, attacking the board at games etc. I do also agree that it has managed in the right way and the fans have to get behind the club no matter what. I can relate in some-way with how the fans should react and how the should control themselves in those situations that may aggravate them more. There was a similar thing that happened with my club Hibernian in 2016. Now i know its not the same as The EPL in terms of the money, the size, the competition etc. However in 2016 we got relegated from the Scottish Premier league. A lot of fans, myself and especially my dad who was all but done with the club had given up. The boiling point was the the Scottish Cup. We had our rivals Hearts and last years winners Inverness to play we managed to beat both of them, in replays mind you, but we got through and showed we can do this against the odds. That year we won the cup after not winning it for 114 YEARS!!!! Even though we had been relegated and had some shocking performances before and after that. It was something to get behind and something that was incredible to see as a fan of the club. That is something that West Ham need right now. A performance or a win or even a string of good performances that keep gaining the team points that keeps them in the league and the fans behind them. Forget about the owners, forget about past performances they come and go. What matters is the fans stay behind the team and show them they love the club no matter what.

I think as a West Ham fan (who shares many of the same views as you) that by the 2 David’s supposedly hiring a director of football is the second best thing that can happen to the club right now. If they won’t sell, then at least we’re gonna have (hopefully) a person who has experience leading clubs and selecting players. The board can then act as investors I suppose and be the “fans” of the club they want to be, without making the tough footballing decisions

Nice one, Spence. Having survived by the skin of our teeth, it will be interesting to see where the Board takes us. Pellegrini is, I think, a positive sign but he will not fulfil his 3 year contract if they do not now give him money to buy some decent players. The $64,000 question is who can he attract? IMHO, we need at least 4 top quality players (but probably more), including a dominating centre back, a creative midfielder and someone capable of netting 20 goals a season up front. The fans need to see something (someone) positive that will both win hearts and minds and excite. The World Cup should be a great stage to spot some up and coming talent. West Ham,their a club I like with a great history and I hope they don’t go down,I’m a Hereford FC supporter,ex Hereford Utd FC fan and Hereford United what we used to be called was literally ran into the ground until it no longer existed! So feel your pain!

Think you may be slighting confused re: the owners not being able to sell. From my understanding they can sell but for a set period of time e.g till 2020 a significant % will go to the London stadium owners (E20). Therefore they have no incentive to sell. The clause was put in I believe to stop them acquiring the lease for 99 years and then instantly selling for a profit due to the substantial coup that the stadium lease is (financially!). I think you’re correct #1 priority has to be to stay up and fans NEED to support the team, life long season ticket holder and the Burnley game was my worst experience at a football game ever. The fans need to stick together. IF we stay up, we need to invest, get rid of deadwood (Kouyate, Carrol, Creswell, Byram) and bring in a solid spine to that team to supplement the quality we already have! Hope we can do it, COYI!

Personally I think our biggest problem is the lack of squad depth, like you said we sold Ayew, Sakho and Fonte on top of the players like Feghouli last summer. They weren’t first team but they had moments that were important last season and the current one, the last season at Upton Park we had depth, obviously Payet helped but the options were there in every part of the pitch. For some reason that season as well I never felt that we were down and out we always had a chance of at least getting a draw if we were behind but now it’s like first goal wins. I think Sullivan needs to stay away from the stadium for the rest of season and if they’re not gonna sell then they need to bring in someone to help out like a director and they can take a back seat.

I think Farad Moshiri for us (Everton) is doing a great job in listening to the fans. We wanted a team which had more pace and a more prolific striker so in January he brought in Walcott and Tosun and at the moment they’re doing great but currently it’s just big Sam not choosing the right lineups for the games

Don't worry Spence, as a Southampton fan i feel your pain, as both West Ham and Southampton were solid mid table sides, and on the odd occasion, even pushing for (or even being in) European football, now we're praying for our place in the league next year, owners/management of the club is awful and is putting us in a ridiculous situation that never should've happened.

Hull city Fan, we have more or less that same situation going on, not as well known for the pure fact they sent us down which will most likely happen to West Ham with Moyes being in charge anyway

If it's true that Sullivan wants out there's not much we can do about it until 2020. So we need to hope moyes who is known for his bad transfers at man united to get us some amazing deals so we can survive the drop. But ultimately a club in the championship is worth less than a club in the prem so we will need to just hope Sullivan can put some money towards these transfers, even if it's not a lot. Just my opinion we will go down before 2020
