As an Australian who has followed football all my life, let me tell you something about Ange. I have never liked his gung ho approach to the game but I have to respect his results. He took a rotten to the core Brisbane Roar outfit and won 36 games in a row playing attacking football and winning three premierships. He did the same with Melbourne Victory and the Japanese side and then Celtic But that is the style of play he has always managed and as I said, don't like it at all but it is there for all to see. He normally has his best results in his second full season because that is after he gets rid of the would be could be players and chosen the ones he truly wants. Some players at Spurs have slackened off of that there is no doubt. They will not be there next season because his mind is sharp as a tack. I was relieved when he resigned from the Australia Socceroos side because we needed a more 4-4-2 style of game because at that time we did not have the quality of backs to only have three. I wish him all the best I want to add that but if you play with fire you may get burnt. This is different because although (imo) many players in the PL are overrated and certainly overpaid they are a class above many other competitions except the German and French comps.

i agree he 100% has to rein it back at times, but he doesn't like to, so they will continue to cop shit goals.

He needs a Ferenc Puskás, the coach that moulded Ange's philosophy and tactics. "You shoot one goal against me, I shoot 2!" RIP Puskás! But long live your philosophy!

I'd like him to have to answer Fan's questions as well as the House-trained reporters, he wouldn't win any friends if he adopted the same "who really cares?" attitude which is really starting to annoy the eff out of me.

@@Blackbird58 yes - but ultimately talk is just talk whoever's asking the questions. You answer the fans on the pitch. Score goals and let less goals in, all the questions go away. He has to be given time to do it. As I read elsewhere, Arteta first 3 yrs finishes were 8th, 8th, 5th, or something. Theres promise let's wait n see.

Pathetic journo question. I can see why Ange gives the "I don't care" answer it deserves. And to all those being over critical of Ange in his first season after the complete mess our club was in AND losing the greatest club goal scorer need to try and reserve that energy in support. I believe we're in a better position for next season than Liverpool who are gonna lose both Klopp and Salah and Man Utd and Chelsea who are a joke atm in their consistency. I just pray Citeh beat that lot down the road to the title because who doesn't love a sobbing Arteta #COYS

Angie baby, you sound totally unconvincing re:importance of Vicario's vulnerability at corners, "...man, who really cares?"-are you effing kidding me? That weakness has arisen as a direct result of your sttrategy and it will be exploited by all of our opponents until you can employ somebody who knows how to coach teams on defensive st pieces, You also say that this difficulty has arisen before-how is it still a problem you don't know how to bloody well fix then? Things will start to get quite a bit hotter for you if we lose tonight from goals conceded at corners, we've been shown to be a soft touch at the back and it's humiliating because everyone can see that your zonal marking system is so unfit for purpose it looks like sabotage. Then you just sit there, brushing it all off as if it was just a faux pas at the Beach Barbie...
