i thought the quad walked all over the sansamp .............. right up until the high gain shootout. the sansamp sounds way better to my ear. it's definitely got more gain and more of that sculpted high gain sound that people look for. good vid.

Wow, I always thought they only preamps for bass guitar. Dig the new segment too btw hehe. I do also prefer the Quad, but that has always been one my favourite preamps. Nothing wrong with the other amp though! Just my personal preference.

Ha ha! The Sansamp can’t compete with the Quad! I was surprised how dark the Samsamp is! I don’t remember the psa-1 being so dark. I love the H&H! Wow! The Sansamp would sound good with a BBE or Aphex, it’s not a bad unit it’s just not a Quad.

Pretty cool! Always thought SansAmps looked a bit like toys regarding the rack units, then the floorboards (flyrigs and whatnot). A lot of people seemed to respect them, but I don't think I ever heard them played. The Rack Wheel! You're having some great ideas! Whiskey tasting wasn't bad either, although I'm not a bourbon guy, more of a smokey single malt guy.
