Amazing video as always. I was wondering if you guys would be able to maybe do videos with people from things like forest firefighters, search & rescue teams, the coast guard, bomb squads, Air Force pararescue jumpers, and airport firefighters? It would be really cool & teach the viewers above jobs that they might not know about but will be incredibly thankful they have if they ever are needed. Thanks

Truck prices are out of reach for small departments. Five years ago, that was a $2000,000 truck. I am pricing a 1500 gallon tanker an have be quoted between $300,000 an $400,000 .

1500 hundred gallon tanker our engine has that much and our tanker holds 3000 gallons

I'm a firefighter in the city of magee fire department. You should come do an episode here we have a historical station and we have one new truck with another incoming in the next few months

It would be really cool for HND to look at some of the more unique setups like in a National Park with the Rangers and firefighters in there, or some of the specialist stuff they have at say universities or research labs - good work with the content, keep it up!

Ok... I'm not a fire fighter, so I'm not sure if I'm doing the Math right on these trucks that carry water... This one as an Example... 2000 Gallon water tank. 1750 Gallons/Minute pump... So does that mean that the tank can be emptied in less then 2 minutes?

You should come to Wisconsin to the Wausau Fire Department. I'm not a firefighter but I think they are doing great things. And they have a pretty great Hazmat rig that I think should be featured in one of your videos

In the state of New York Volunteer departments, you do not need a CDL to operate a emergency vehicle however, the department itself may have its own requirements to have a CDL certain amount of hours of driver training etc.

Not always being it’s an emergency vehicle but it’s recommended

I know when I was on a VFD, that pretty much anyone with a class C license or above could drive the apparatus to a dispatched incident, however to legally get it back to the station, you had to have at least a class B license.

@@davidbehrend7054that’s interesting, I’m guessing it has to do with the need to get to the scene yesterday but not having to get back to the station so quickly. Am I right?
