So cool. Last week I found a way to re-used my handmade Model X camper-units to serve as a temporary kitchen unit in my new home, as I'm still looking for a new kitchen. It feels like camping, but then in my own house :-) Its that I have a school-going kid and need to finish my house, but otherwise I would have been building my Y-camper now and head out for the summer, and travel Europe unplanned. Lots of nice solutions. How much did you end up using your cooking gear? Lived in my car for a month this summer, but I used my cooking gear zero times. Ate precut bread, raw fruit and veggies, snacks, eating out/takeaway, etc. Ended up prioritizing other things than cooking. Just felt sort of like a hazzle to unpack everything, cooking, then cleaning stuff.

Thank you! I use the system pretty much everyday as I do enjoy the process of cooking and it does make my meal more enjoyable because of the efforts. However in rainy weathers, which is petty much everyday here in PNW winter, I find myself eating out all the time or just quick bread/ simple foods.

What do you reckon how fast this is removable and re-installable if you need the rear seats or cargo space for day to day?
@LivinginTesla
@LivinginTesla 2 жыл бұрын
The front unit is super fast ~3 mins to remove. The back is gonna be a pain because of its weight, most likely need 2 people to lift the whole thing out. If you down size the thickness of the wood, it'll probably be much easier to remove with just one person.

I'm looking at getting an inverter for my Model 3, why did you decide to get the 300W one? Do you worry about it drawing too much power? The power socket should provide 12a * 12v (or 16v for newer cars) from what I can see, 12a*16v = 192W, isn't the 300W too much? Thanks in advance
@LivinginTesla
