The way you explained how japanese personality and korean personality are extremely different and how you didn’t express yourself when you were in japan and didn’t know how to speak your mind and say no but learned to do that in korea truly touched my heart 🥹 i’m happy for you

I could immediately tell from her accent that Korean isn't her first language, but that only made it more amazing that she has achieved such a high level of fluency. I don't believe it's something you could attain if you weren't truly serious about it.

There's barely an accent
@HKim0072
@HKim0072 8 ай бұрын
@@spawncampe Accent is probably the wrong word. It's the enunciation and pace of her speech. She is overenunciating her "syllables" compared to a native speaker. Lots of weird Korean rules that make syllables slur together for smoother speech. Sana from Twice is the one of the best examples of sounding exactly like a Korean: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i5lnqpmD1pOVh6s.html Oddly, I think it's mouth shape as well. She's not positioning her mouth for the syllables properly. This foreigner has perfect mouth position: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i8h1o5lk2Mi-gaM.html Why do I know this? As a Korean that grew up in the states and learned Korean late, I speak Korean like an American would speak (at a very low level. not fluent.)

@@L1ZxxzxChina and Korea are NOT “South East Asian” they are East Asian. And it is a mix of ETHNICITY, there is a difference between mixed ethnicity and mixed race. This is speaking as someone who is also mixed ethnicity. Btw South East Asia is Laos, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia etc. just like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka are SOUTH Asian countries. The United States and Korea are different. The United States is divided into white, black, asian, but in Korea, Asians, Japanese, Chinese, Africans, and British are equally foreigners. To be precise, Korea is a country with more discrimination against foreigners than racism. It is very different from the United States.

I appreciate the sincerity that I see in these interviews, but every time I see an interview like this, I am reminded how American concepts of slavery and eugenics that spread throughout the world and arrived in Asia during the opium wars have people thinking that race is an all or none concept. This girl, and many like her, never see themselves as 'pure' anything. The reality is she can be both Korean and be Japanese too. Genetically, her Korean father and Japanese mother share more than 99.9% of the same genome. I hope one day people will title videos like this as living in Korea while being both Japanese and Korean. No 혼혈. Nothing impure about it.
