The sound of rain on the tent while camping is one of my favorite sounds.

When we bought our farm here in Kentucky we put a metal roof on the house to replace asphalt shingles. It is noisier but it is a good noise. Wind is also something we hear a lot. If it comes from the NNW it makes a moaning sad noise that reminds me of old westerns. We don't hear dirt being thrown on the roof but the turkeys make a racket when they decide to use the roof as a lookout. I look forward to more of your wonderful videos. Thank you.

Can't wait to hear the story of transitioning to homesteading from your life as a bodybuilder! My husband is a personal trainer, and former bodybuilder as well! We both want to homestead, and he wants to continue training a couple days a week! I just know if Mike and him got together, they wouldn't stop talking for DAYS!

This is the first time I've actually seen inside the yurt. I'm actually surprised how much it looks like a regular house in the inside. Sorry if this is a very silly comment but I haven't been in many yurts!!

We are having the rain and gloomy skys too. Sunshine needs to come back. So ready to start the garden but I have a long time to wait. I do plant my peas and radishes on Saint Patricks day. My grandfather always said to do that when I was a kid so I have continued this tradition. Spinach can go in also. Will be starting some seeds inside soon. God's blessing to your family

I love my metal roof on the log cabin in the woods, especially when it rains. I can imagine the rain, thunder, sounds of nature, etc living in a yurt would be even more intense.

Enjoyed the video as always. The rain makes me sleepy so I did doze off during parts of the video.LOL

We live in a huge static caravan and the rain can be pretty loud the worst for us would be hailstones they are deafening but normal rain is so relaxing tfs xx

Years ago, lightning struck so close to our house that it set off all the battery operated toys in the boys' room. That was interesting!

I have a metal roof and occasionally I have had TV drowned out. But rarely truly bothers me as I also read a lot and I just hit record and turn it off. Besides if I record it I can skip threw ads! Lol !!

We have a metal roof so we hear harder rains. I'm sure it's nothing like what you guys experience lol. I love your stories, I look forward to more 😊

It's cool like a heavy duty teepee

We have a house and hear the rain on it. At least when it is heavy rain and or hail, it is not as noisy as it would be with a vinyl roof. And when a lightning bolt hits nearby, it is super loud and rattles the windows too. And all we have right now is a typical asphalt shingle roof. Looking to replace it with a metal roof so we can have cleaner water off of it. That means it will get a lot noisier. But, I am also toying with the idea of getting a shingle splitter and making wooden shingles and going that way instead. And that would make it quieter.
