After over 2 years since I last visited Bali, it’s time to come back and discover what’s new in Canggu (for remote workers / digital nomads).

It's amazing how much things have changed since your last visit, and your exploration of the new developments and attractions in Canggu was both informative and entertaining. Hi Chris great video thankyou. Hoping you can make a recommendation on a modern 4star style villa with pool to stay at in Canggu close walking distance to a coworking space with good wifi and AC, a popular yoga studio and some vegan cafes? I am a freelance photographer and keen to do yoga for 10 days and also create content while there. But I want a really nice modern room with beautiful bathroom and maybe a balcony or garden seated area. Can you suggest a couple places to stay around the $60-$100 a night mark? Thanks so much

Holy moly! I have been there in 2016 just after Dojo has been taken over by Michael and was the only co-working space. Crazy how it developed! It's sad to see that Canggu didn't preserve its charm but got bought out by Westerners.

As a content creator you should also check out Lighthouse. There you have a free coworker/cafe area and video and podcast studios.

Are there any advantages to going to Chiang Mai over Canggu nowadays? There aren't as many MeetUp events in CM as in 2018. I don't know how the community is like there now

Me too 😭 Dojo (and Hubud) were very special place(s). I don't know if they'll ever be another space like them but I hope so!

Go do the same “what’s new” video in Koh Phangan. Lots of new coworking spaces, gyms, cafés, parties, etc. It’s a top spot for digital nomads.

Nice one! Canggu pronounced well. now Pererenan..just and "re" missing ;) A quick headsup about Bwork - They only work with memberships or 10+ hour passes I believe. Last time I tried there there was a massive waitlist. You can still work in their café though which is okay-ish.

Just came back from Bali to Koh Phangan - Bali is overcrowded, overrated IMHO. Meanwhile 500-600 mbps internet here in Koh Phangan. 100x better vibes. Bali = Tulum now.

I don't understand.....If it's such a great place to live and work, how come you are still living in Australia after you used to live in Canggu? You seem to only focus on positive aspects of the lifestyle there without much of a balanced perspective. It may be a good place to live as a digital nomad, but this video comes across as a bit fake / 'salesy' to be honest.

The video is about what's new in Canggu and it wasn't all positive. I think it was only Wanderlust Fitness Village that I got excited about. Genuinely, it is pretty amazing what they've done there. Nonetheless it wasn't meant to be a pros/cons video, just an updated look at what spaces had opened/closed.
