In today's video I thought I'd share what's new in my wardrobe and my current closet favourites that I've been wearing a lot lately! THANK YOU for the disclaimer at the end - being transparent about not having bought everything, or reminding people is important. It's a reality check. I remember seeing a French blogger's story once, a "follow me around" video, in which she went to brand-meetings. She said that these meeting informed her as far as what to borrow for the coming months. Key word borrow !!! I was so shocked (and relieved). Not even the "cool French girls" own all these pieces, they borrow them. Not even cool successful youtubers like you buy everything they share always* either. It's very eye-opening and take off the pressure form always feeling the need to "refresh" our closets with new expensive things to "keep up".

It's disappointing to see so many brands carrying polyester and acrylic. I prefer to wear natural fabrics and it's becoming increasingly difficult to find them. Cool green boots!

That shade of green is a happy medium; not too mossy not too Kelly. It’d be fab for a handbag; giving me vintage Gucci vibe. Khaite boot is indeed interesting and unique. I’ll trust your words about comfort because the kitten heel sure doesn’t look like comfort to me ;). Your Agency blazer is like your personal style signature. It gives you a capable aura without trying hard. And it pretty much goes with all your other fave pieces to create outfits for many occasions. The name Agency gives me FBI agent or detective vibe. A female agent totally needs a blazer like this to conceal carry and remain clean cut comfortable.

Yeah I noticed that aritzia has gone downhill like content was when it comes to fabric. The pricing still the same or ridiculously high, but you don't get the same quality. Maybe you can find that colorway in the old version on Poshmark or something?. Just an idea

I am also someone who hates wearing jeans at home. However, at one time, I was several sizes smaller, and jeans fit me totally different. I would come home and pull on my favorite jeans, and sighed at how comfortable they were.

Same! I’m two years postpartum and I have yet to find a pair of jeans I can wear that fit me as comfortably as the jeans I wore before having a baby.

I purchased a warm toned beige Aritizia Agency blazer last year at either the 97% or 100% cotton. It’s beautiful, oversized structured and quite heavy!!! I definitely looked for the composition details before landing on this one. So they do carry them. 💜

I always enjoy seeing you introduce pieces and how you style them, because we have quite a similar closet colour palette. My colour season is Bright Spring, and I think you're one of the Winters from your analysis with Signe - so we both look our best in clothes with high contrast and high saturation, and there's a lot I learn from your choices. Plusss... your green boots! I gasped. They're gorgeous. I recently bought the Madewell transport shoulder crossbody, in the exact same shade of green. Great minds. 😉

I once bought a pair of green suede kitten heel pumps while on vacation. A real stretch for me back then to wear color on my feet. I wore them out! They went with just about everything I owned. I think you’ll get a lot of wear out of them.

Christina, when you do a jeans video, will you include the year of the jeans if applicable? I have followed your tips and I’ve figured out a couple styles of Levi’s that fit me best but I’ve also learned to at the year sometimes determines the rise. Second, LOVE the look of the sweater with your black denim! 🤩🤩😍😍

As for the Aritzia blazer, in case you didn’t know: Lenzing is a brand name for a type of viscose (named after the company Lenzing, based in Lenzing/Austria). Shocking to see that the new blazer has such a high percentage of polyester, even the good quality Lenzing viscose can’t compensate that imho

I’d always admired your taupe and your black Agency blazers. I ordered the “new” Agency blazer but returned it when I discovered it wasn’t made mostly of wool. ☹️ I’m still on the hunt for a wool taupe or camel blazer. I LOVE both pair of your new boots! I think an interesting shoe or boot really elevates an outfit. Thank you for another great video😍

A company that has had the same high-standard blazer model for several years and then changes the composition from 95% wool to mostly polyester really stinks, in my opinion. 🤔

Love how you are slowly injecting color into your wardrobe. I like neutral colored clothing as well and will "pop" color with accessories. If you want to wear those gorgeous green boots with denim, try the classic "bbs" system: belt, bag, and shoes in the same color (or in my case, the minimized "bs" system... I can't be bothered changing my purse with every outfit!) Belts can be another less expensive way to add color if you like color but don't want to look like a crayon.

I got a colour analysis from Signe as well!! I am Cool, Clear and Deep and you are Deep, Clear and Cool. That is so awesome 😎 How much has that helped you curate your closet? Pick new items? Right now I am using my analysis to declutter my current wardrobe in phases.

Love all your new pieces, but especially the navy sweater and the black boots. In my heart I’m a blazer, jeans and boots person but I live in Miami. I wear my wool sweaters maybe during a two week period in a year if I’m lucky, same with boots. Blazers I can wear to work because AC but have to remove them as soon as I step out. It’s a bit frustrating not being able to wear these items, but also can’t complain because I hate being cold. That being said, I think all the pieces you bought make sense for your style/wardrobe but be careful with Tik Tok!

Do you buy womens or mens 501 jeans; are they one or two sizes up for the slouchy look? Do you find it difficult to purchase from Grana since they ship from Hong Kong? More look books if possible as they are so helpful. Thank you for sharing and stating sizes.

I would never purchase from Dear Frances again. I bought the slides and the stitching came undone within a few wears and they refused to replace, refund, or help me repair. They don’t stand behind their products sadly.

I have seen a lot of influencers pushing Dear Frances and over time I realized that they must not actually wear these items outside of modeling them because the quality is not there, and that becomes obvious after a few wears. Also every positive review they have are from people who just bought them, which says nothing about their longevity. They look modern and are very on trend, but you can get much better quality durable shoes for much less. I purchased the Park combat boot years ago back when I bought into the hype over the brand and I regret it everyday. Already have integrity issues with the outer soles cracking and the leather actually flaked off near the laces, and I take very good care of my shoes. Not worth the price tag.

@@Aileenwasright I had problems with leather flaking off too! I went back and forth with their customer service and they kept talking about how this happens with “soft, high quality leather” and I was like um I’ve bought nice leather before and while this is certainly soft, this is not the type of leather you should be using on high friction areas of footwear. Expensive lesson learned on buying into hype indeed.

All brands are cutting corners. The acne hat is not made in Italy anymore. Its made in China and not 100% wool anymore. But of course price is the same. Shame.
