Tc said juju loves auburn but they need to see freeze offense & then the pressure of being the guy to start something new at Auburn & he talked about how Auburn fans treated Bo nix when Bo nix clearly wasn’t the issue at Auburn. It’s like this. If au doesn’t get a qb by mid season juju will be at auburn but it’s kinda funny I warned Auburn immature social media. You can’t say we are a family then attack a player when talent level around isn’t to par. Don’t think one min Thorne treatment wasn’t noticed. Positive vibes help while negative vibes will hurt you. Auburn fans maturity will determine if we get a qb in 2024. Kj took notice as well. Ask me how I know!

Harsin was the major issue, you are correct. But to say that Bo Nix wasn’t making any mistakes at all and wasn’t missing wide open receivers on a consistent basis is just laughable. I no longer have any sympathy for these players because they are now getting paid. It’s their job. You have to take the heat.

AU is going to have to understand that they are going to have to overpay for a 5 star QB if they really want to get one. AU coaches have to have a better understanding of who they can realistically get. Juju was never coming, should have moved off him 2 months ago.

@StuartDonald See I'm hearing it's his dad wanting this and that. So Auburn is walking away. So both of us are correct in this case. Kinda like KJ Bolden. Every time he visited Auburn he LOVED it. But his dad basically made him commit to GA. You saw it on his face at his signing. He was miserable.

Walker White is going to be a stud. That does not mean we do not need a top quality QB every single class (which will definitely affect offensive commits), but Walker is the real deal.

That team has to fly to most games, California taxes kill you, and as a father, do you want your teenagers first experience living away from home to be 3 thousand miles away in a place known for partying?

The 24 class rallied around Walker White, including those receivers and Auburn's got Hank Brown too. Need a QB? Sure! But the future coming in 25 vs a 25 freshman at qb? Auburn's in a great spot!

It’s not apologizing for Thorne. It’s the fact that some of you think you know better than Hughe freeze on evaluating QB’s. You also have to take into consideration what took place last year. He wasn’t put in a position to succeed by any means. No weapons around him, O line was below average at best, and the scheme was non existent. Just give the dude a chance and see what happens. He’s proved he can do it once before as a dang freshman. It doesn’t matter how good your qb is your team can still suck. Look at Colorado for example. Shadur will prob be a first round pick. If he doesn’t get his head caved in before then. He was sacked like 50-60 times? Everyone is ready to throw brown in after he completed 4 passes in trash time in a bowl game. It’s stupid. All a couple of you ever comment about is “deerrr if Peyton Thorne starts we’re going 6-6 again”.

Guys let’s stop the crying and I told you so BS. For one thing I’m glad to see Auburn go after the top recruits. We all know we haven’t done that in the past. Recruiting is going well. My opinion is Auburn is going big game hunting now that they have a base of good recruits committed. You’re lucky if you hit 50% when you do that. Freeze is as good a closer we have had since Pat Dye. He ain’t done yet!!

I think Hank Brown will be a star this season if given the opportunity. He is the hidden gem. Peyton was an average quarterback in the mediocre offensive system last year. Can he improve this year under the new offense? We will see but based on Hank’s performance in the bowl last season I see a huge improvement with him at the helm! 🦅🏈🦅🏈🦅🏈

No dont need a portal qb. We have tondevelop the ones we have. Otherwise the portal guy will havento learn the offense then you have verynlittle experience behind him if he goes down. Develop brown andnwhite and we'll have qbs for the next 6 to 8 yrs

What QB2 gets a ton of playing time? That’s exactly why we’re recruiting out of HS. Why is everyone panicking? We got 2, possibly 3 good or at least descent QB’s that would come in as a Sophomore. They’ve been in the system, they’re going to get way more reps in all camps, and we can either trust the coach or panic a good QB away. I think Hank will be ready. WW might come on. That’s what we took from HS, that’s who we need to rock with the people we recruit or we’ll do what AU does and run a good QB away to watch them ball out at a different school. However, we do need a QB for depth, we don’t need to be headed into next season with only 2 scholarship QB’s. Everything will be changing once the production on the field is proven. If we ball out we’ll be able to poach a good QB.

Has seemed likely for awhile we will spend in off-season for an established QB. Unless there is an injury to Payton and another QB steps up, Hugh cant take chance with first time starter in year 3.

No it really hasn't. No one expected anything from auburn last year except the delusional fans who thought we'd win a championship cause we got a new coach and a few decent players in the portal. Thorne also joined the team pretty much last minute and inherited a mess from a previous coach that didn't recruit for 2 years. Cam Newton couldn't have saved last year's team or any so-called top QB you may have wanted in Thornes place.

I just don’t want to hear the excuses, Auburn should be able to close the deal, it’s pointless to even go for elite QBs in the first place if you arnt willing to pay elite money for them, this is just the way it is now. The bidding wars arnt going anywhere for this caliber of QB and we need to get used to it.

When Kirby Smart passed on Juju very early in summer or late spring, it should have warned people about him. Word was Smart passed on him bc the daddy was too much to deal with. So here we are, no qb. It’s not a good situation. Lacey may feel like the consolation prize, and that is not what we want. He’s a damn good qb and should have been the target 6 weeks ago, like I said all along.

Because these days teams need to sign a QB in every class. People are talking about White for the future. Hopefully he will be the guy. You need depth and competition. Elite teams have multiple blue chippers in the QB room. Auburn currently is not one of those teams.
