I can imagine their schoolmates asking "whats ur dad going to do about the leafs" etc and IMO I'd be like Leave the kid alone he shouldnt have to worry about that.) then he gets fired so he IMMEDIATELY goes BACK ON HIS WORD (Remember MOnday he said he didn't want another job if not with Toronto) and starts asking Pittsburgh for a job. NOW granted he has school aged kids so he cant afford to take time off to reevalute cause hes got mouths to feed but to me that was a bit of a scumbag move. For Leaf fans when Pittsburgh does come to Toronto do u think the fans will chant "F u Kyle" at him? My bet is it depends on where the leafs are in the season. If Pittsburgh's doing terrible and the Leafs are leading the division or 2nd I could absolutely see the fans doing that. Hopefully the NHL will be smart and make us wait till January for a Leafs Pens in Toronto because if they do it in October November it wont mean as much.

I've Said this before and I'll say it again. I DO NOT BELIEVE the Core 4 are ALL coming back when their contracts are all up. Marner and Tavares have 2 years left where Tavares will be 34 and IMO too young to retire plus both of them are Toronto boys so I dont see them leaving. Matthews is the best Leafs player this century no doubt and I would agrue best Leaf since Sittler (mind u I was born in 95) so IMO no way u get rid of him unless Matthews wants to go which from what we're hearing he doenst. This leaves the Nylander situation. Negative held out on the team till they gave him what he wanted then underperformed right after. Postive the guy's a freaking beast come playoffs. negative isnt from Toronto or first over all draft pick like the others. Postive can run a line on his own. I REALLLY DO NOT WANT WILLY TO LEAVE BUT I FEEL LIKE HE'S THE OBVIOUS ONE TO GO. ⁠​​⁠Matt Murray had been terrible the past 3 seasons leading up to the time Dubas got him. Dubas thought he could reinvent the wheel and pioneer a new philosophy of investing heavily into soft skill and it winning in the playoffs. He was wrong then and never changed. He thought by adding some toughness to the lower parts of the roster that it would fix that. Teams with tough skill, spread throughout the lineup is what wins. His core 4 were too much alike. Plus those superstar divas squeezed every possible nickel out of the team. There’s no evidence or examples of teams built like Dubas’ leafs winning the cup. You can get away with 1, maybe 2 of your top paid players being soft skill. Not 4. Look at the collection of 3-6 million dollar players that cup teams have and how they are the difference makers. Playoff hockey isn’t conducive to overpaid, soft skill. It requires all lines to crash the net, dumping it in puck retrievals, board battles, net front battles, hits, finishing checks, blocking shots, incredibly driven and tenacious forecheck. Will over skill. Hard, tough, physical, driven and hungry hockey. Those things do not describe the leafs. Brad T needs to trade 2 of the core c4 and bring in Tkachuk, Marchand, Bertuzzi types to replace them.
