I'm their fan since beginning, growl is one of those global phenomenon during release, it was like cupid by fifty-fifty these days, its everywhere eventho sosial media & internet still aren't as big as today, so much potential to go worldwide too but sm turned down so much things, especially west collaboration, its all on Exo & exo-l when it comes to build up their name.

it may be like that temporarily while the maknae's are in military. But EXO always do what they promised- It's gonna be group first before solo stuff after all of them are discharged ( and out of SM).

SM might have dodged the bullet for their treatment to 1st gen and 2nd gen groups, but EXO is different. EXO is gonna be their downfall. DO's recent end of contract shook the whole KPOP stocks , and that's only 1 member. The contract issue with CBX also made the government to intervene. They are also the reason why agencies are fixing Artists' contracts right now. EXO's impact to the Kpop industry is huge.

Exo may or may not get the best outcome through all of this but they left a big impact for future generation cause they wouldn't be as strictly involved in slave contracts. CBX's case is the best thing that ever happened in history cause now the contracts could actually be identified for their wrong means to trap idols.

I agree with you. But don't forget that Lay was obliged by the chinese gov to stop promotions in Korea, it wasn't about him. Also, there is enough proof that SM Ent does the nastiest things to hold the group accountable when in reality they just want to be treated fairly.

I wasn't aware of why he left, but I wasn't blaming him for it. I have no sympathy for SM after what they did to Han Geng. An artist could terminate their contract just because they hated SM and I'd probably support it.

I'm not really familiar with the guy, but every time I've seen his pictures he looks dead inside. Maybe leaving will be good for him.

Stop attending shitty music awards since 2018, but still receiving them without attending. Fastest selling concert for just .02 second in first place. Best concert, 2017. Prime Minister Award. Korea's Silver Medal Award. Most of all, EXO, the richest kpop group with Net Worth of $1 billion (BTS only have $150 million) way further than EXO's Net Worth of billion. And till now, EXO is the Nation's Pick, for their 11 years, none got that crown from them. Now, telling us exols that EXO could be big like BTS are u kidding? Look back first on their debutes, EXO isn't just big, but they're huge, mega/superstar!

@@swduc2836 From financial point of view I absolutely agree with you. Actually, thank you, that was a great read, loved and appreciate you spending your time to give it. I mean companies could live off just from their artists' brand deals, TV projects, them being radio hosts, OST music etc. And it's a good way to keep the attention without spending much. I guess in my comment I was thinking almost entirely in terms of managing artists as singers. Music, lyrics, concepts, performances (live, I kinda don't like when lipsynching even a pre recorded ones is justified by hard dance routines). Actually as artists Gen2, Gen3 were the ones that caught world attention the most for above reasons - 2NE1, Psy, SuJu, SNSD, Infinite, Shinee, 4minute, Beast, Sistar, A-pink, BiGBang, FT Island, CN Blue, Miss A and lots of Gen3's. What I remember of those times is fenomenal music, iconic songs, great group shows, idol interactions. They were equally good no matter the company. The point is just Big companies had resources to give comebacks more often and the money was spend on higher quality videos with special effects, clothing. Yet the songs were highlights. What I see now are rushed or delayed comebacks, overcomplicated MV's, comnepts, choreo, confusing teasers, more meh Tiktoks than live performances, hundreds of concept photos, versions of albums. They hope for the boom of a new groups with a couple of popular members where the rest may be seen as sidekicks. If the group doesn't gain expected popularity they just ditch them and get a new one hoping the next one will be the one. Hope this makes sense, so many aspects, I guess it's rather to write a whole post, but I guess you can see what I wanted to say.
