I believe where you said the Comedy of Errors scene was almost Shakespearean that it was actually intentionally Shakespearean. The entire game is structured like a Shakespearean play and it is even bracketed by the Tantalus troupe performing a tradgedy by Lord Avon. Lord Avon was a clear reference to William Shakespeare from Stratford upon Avon.

My all-time forever favorite final fantasy game

Excellent video, I absolutely ADORE this game. So happy I found this channel

FFIX was a great throwback for those of us who grew up with the original. My favorite was the steampunk inspired FFVI, which still largely had different character classes. FFVII was great but marked the beginning of the end for my interest in the series, which FFVIII only helped. When IX came out, I enjoyed it, but like X and XII since then, I started out strong before getting sidetracked and picking the game back up every few months. I never finished any of those, and I suspect my old memory cards are either lost to time or no longer work.

Best final fantasy by a landscape and best JRPG period.

FF9 is the only one of the PlayStation Final Fantasy games that I actually liked.

It feels weird how much Final Fantasy has drastically changed from it's roots, to the point where Final Fantasy IX could be considered a "return" to those same roots. It's gotten to the point where Final Fantasy XVI isn't even really and RPG anymore, which is a little sad (to me, anyway).

FF9 is the most final fantasy final fantasy.

I like the game, it's just it plays sooo SLOW.

I'll tell you what's bad Battles suck Party is lame. Amaranth Freya Eiko Quina all suck Final boss is lame Zidane is a rip-off of Locke Freya story is like Sabin's story Card game is horrible
